Loki finished her fish and wondered what to do with the remaining.. did Hige want it? she didn't really want to ask for it.. ahhwell, she'd just let him decide. Do you know much of Fae? I.. really don't. He just showed up at the riverbank with food and showed us to his den, saying his mate would drown him if he crossed two pups and didn't offer them use of his den. Really weird.. his mate still hadn't shown her face when I left the den tonight.

"I've met him a few times, but I was only a pup... and the circumstances weren't the kind you should base impressions upon." Hige replied in an honest way, pausing in eating to nudge the fish to her with his nose, then lift his head again. "No one is without their faults, you've got to bear that in mind, but if you ask me he's got too much pride."
Aaahh.... still...
"I was just a pup then, though." He repeated. "His mate...? I wonder if that was Khal..."

Kahlaria, yes. Loki answered. She looked to him for reassurance regarding the fish, then began to eat it. I don't know, I hate judging so quickly but I didn't really like the way he just.. snatched us up off the riverbank. Ohwell, no harm really. His den is.. very nice.

"Khal is great," He smiled a bit, relaxing slightly. "she dislikes all the tension between our packs, but I don't know, I haven't seen her but once. I think she sides with Fae on this. Both sides have good reasons for being upset... I guess that's why we need to go before anything happens."
He finished his fish and licked his muzzle clean.
"You should head back before it gets too much later. It's better if you ask while Faeanaro is asleep rather than risk it."
He didn't tell her that he planned to follow.

((Post for Daim (and Nikui!) to jump in with Devvyl and Syn (and Selia and whoever of the pups, XD), ^^ This is continuing the AIM rp we started last night, and takes place the very next morning after Fea left the pack.))
Hige nipped at Syn's ear as she greeted him, then watched her settle in to play with the stray blade of grass, amused by her sneezing fits.
It was such a filling feeling to play with his 'siblings', filling a part of the hole that had been growing overtime. He hated bringing up the topic of conversation that he was going to now.
"It's about Loki and me, and the pack." Hige swivled one ear to a diaganol position and settled down to sit. "We both think that the pack is getting to be a lot larger than we thought it would, and still growing." He paused to dart golden eyes to Syn for emphasis, then back to Devvyl. "I haven't talked to Thayne or Balan yet but, Loki and I decided that it might be better if we find our own place..."
He felt like flattening his ears, like a scolded pup, he couldn't help but feel like they might sound ungrateful, but he kept his posture. He was a little nervous, thinking about how his parents would take the news, how the others would take the news.
"There was a friend that raised me for a short while by the big water, the ocean. She led a strange pack, and she has a den fit for two leggers. I wanted to talk to Shilah- and try to convince them to come with us... That way Kaya and Shilah could stay together, and the two leggers could have a den to stay in during the cold of winter, and a two legger that I know would help if they got sick or something."
He kept his voice down, he was aware that not everyone in their pack could even stand the mention of a two legger, let alone talk of assosciating with one. He had never told his parents about Tai before, as she had never come up.
"I think... I'm not sure if Thayne will come or go... but I know that Balan will want to follow Shilah." He finished, watching Devvyl and waiting for his say.

She had come up just in time to hear the news, stopping in her tracks to stare towards Hige and Loki. She gave a sniff automatically, Yin and Yang looking up to her as she froze so suddenly. They wondered momentarily about what was happening before looking to Hige with confused eyes. Why was he leaving? The pack was strong and safe, even if it was quite large...Selia would lower to sit against her rear end..her ears flattening as she stared towards Hige is slight disbelief. "You're leaving.." She asked in a half questioning tone, and a half unbelieving tone.
Sighing, she'd allow her head to turn away from them, knowing her Son was probably making a good choice..the pack was getting large. And they'd have to break off a good amount more wolves to have it at a good size..

Hige lifted his head quickly, he had been so nervous he hadn't caught Selia's approach. He hadn't really meant for her to hear it that way, he'd rather have broken the news to her in more.... kind words.
"... Yes..." He replied, feeling a bit low after seeing the obvious disappointment. He stood back to his paws again, padding over and stopping in front of her, but afraid to make too bold a move. Would she be angry...? "I'm sorry mom... it's just... there."
He left it at that for a moment, hoping she would understand what he meant. The instinctive urge to go on a journey of sorts. Almost as soon as the words had left Loki's mouth Hige also felt that instinct. Maybe it was the excitement of being alone with his mate, the thrill of seeing new areas... Maybe it was the idea of seeing the sea again and showing off his little family to Tai. Somehow that made him swell with pride just thinking about it, odd since they were different species. She had a motherly air about her that even their vast physical differences couldn't shun. He wanted her approval as they had recieved Selia's.
Then also something in Hige felt surrounded. It was nothing against any of their packmates, he cared about all of them enough to risk his life fighting for them. As much as he truely would love to stay and see the pups grow, and to be a part of the pack, to protect it... the call was too strong to ignore. "Just because we're going doesn't mean we'll never see each other again..." He looked at her, still uncertain about how she'd respond. "You'll always be my mother, Selia..." He said softly, reaching out to nuzzle his head against her's hopefully.

"I understand," she replied quietly, and would look up to her son with a light frown. "You better come back and visit, though. Or I'll hunt you down." Yin and Yang whimpered and backed off a bit from their sibling and mother, while she stood up and nuzzled his forehead softly. "Be safe. There's a storm coming soon, and I dont want you caught in it." She whispered, and would sigh heavily...before backing off. "Go and find Loki and whoever else you'll be bringing with you.." She smiled a bit, but it was fake. She wanted him happy, but it was hard to lose him.

Loki made her way out of the den some time after Hige had awakened. "Oh no.." she realized this was the day he was to tell Selia and Devvyl of their plans. She rushed from the den, shaking herself as she went. Slowing a bit as she came closer to the alphas' den, and as the small gathering of familiar furry faces came to view. She sat a few feet away and allowed Hige and Selia to speak their goodbyes, and waited for her mate to tell her how it had went.
She busied herself watching the small pups play. She was involved as much as Hige, but didn't want to seem overly nosey. The pups were cuter than hell, and made her long for her own even more. She hoped the little ones would do well and grow up big and strong like their parents. Her tongue lolled a bit, despite the cold, and her tail wagged.

This time Hige did allow his ears to flatten with relief. "We'll take shelter before the storm comes through." He answered, "I promise we'll be alright, and we'll come back to see how you guys are doing..."
His tail hanging a little low, gave a small wag, encouraging in his body lanaguage. He nipped at her ear and gave it a few licks, like he had when he was just a pup still. He whined softly.
"I love you mom."
Slowly pulling back, he looked back catching Loki's scent. He shifted a bit, making a little room and looking to Selia, leaving a chance for Loki to come say her goodbies as well. He allowed himself to look to Yin and Yang, wondering how Syn had taken this news as well.

She would give a small smile, before looking to Loki. She gave a welcoming, yet sad, yip to her, and moved to nuzzle Loki softly. She sighed a bit, and sat herself down--before catching scent of another wolf. Who was it--that demon pup? Her hackles rose, and she would move her children into the den close by, before returning as the scent blew in stronger. Why was that thing here? He knew that Loki had been with him for a while...the pup must have grown quite large by now...he was moving quickly and swiftly towards them. He whuffed towards Loki and Hige, "You know'em?" She questioned, trying to forget her greif and pain for the time being.
