Great! Just a few more seconds . . . Goku's plan was working out just like he had wanted. Though knowing Superman could fend off the ki blasts with relative ease, Goku continued to fire them until Superman was close enough to him. With about two seconds before the Man of Steel would have come into contact with Goku, he used a rapid zanzoken to erase his image from his current spot, and re-appear behind Superman. Now behind the Kryptonian, Goku surged more power into the giant ki orbs in his hands, the ones used to previously fire off rapid ki blasts. After taking a split second to ensure they were powerful enough, Goku spun around, releasing the first ki bomb. Making sure the first one was far enough ahead, Goku spun around right after, and fired the second ki bomb in an arch this time, rather than straight at his opponent. These were highly charged, and would explode on contact with anything.

Woah, he wasn't kidding. Thought Goku, seeing only a bright orange light in the distant sky that moved at incredible speeds, though the Saiyan knew it was his opponent. Seeing the opportunity to use a devastating attack and not harm the planet placed Goku in a one-choice situation. "Goku, he means business!" Yelled Krillin from the sidelines. "Don't take him lightly! He knows what he's doing." Added Piccolo. As the Man of Steel was a few kilometers from the Z Fighter, Goku cupped his hands by the side of his waist, charging a bright blue ki orb which flashed the same coloured beams of light between his fingers. At the same time, Goku's bright golden ki aura became larger, more rapid moving, and ultimately causing a small crater to form around the Saiyan. "Ka . . . . . . me . . . . . ." Goku knew a few kilometers only meant a few seconds due to Superman's incredible speed, therefore he had to be quick about his technique. "Ha . . . . . . me . . . . . . HA!!" Roared Goku with a yell that could be heard far into the battlefield, as he threw his hands upwards, still cupped in the same form, as a giant beam of blue ki hurled into the sky, aimed directly for the incoming Kryptonian.

Dodging the beam was something that Goku did not expect at all due to Superman's speed. He believed his opponent wouldn't have been able to change directions so quickly, but he did nonetheless. The Saiyan highly lacked the time needed to dispel his beam and move away. "Gugh . . . I can't watch!" Screamed Krillin, knowing what would happen to Goku. "Ha . . . he finally met his match." Said Vegeta under his breath, seeing as Superman had the upper hand. Two simultaneous yells could be heard from both Gohan and Chi Chi. "Father! Goku!" They yelled, for the same reasons as the others. As the gap closed between the two fighters, a grossly loud yell could be heard, as Goku was hit with the full force of Superman's punch. The trail of blue ki ended abruptly from it's starting point, along with Goku's golden aura spontaneously disappearing, as he was sent flying many kilometers away, occasionally bouncing off the hard ground, and ultimately smashing deep into a far away mountain. "It won't end like this." Said Piccolo quietly, still having faith in the lead Z Fighter. The battlefield became completely silent, as all awaited the result of Superman's devastating blow. Due to the utter silence, a very feint sound could be heard in the distance. The sound was so feint that it could be mistaken for nothing at all. However, this was only to the spectators of the fight. Superman would be able to hear the true sound. It was Goku in the far distance, yelling at the top of his lungs, "I need more POWER!!" He roared, as a loud boom could be heard from far away. This was the sound of the mountain exploding, and eventually being disintegrated. The blood of a Saiyan truly lived in Goku, as he refused to give up under any circumstances. The Z Fighter flew at top speed back to the battlefield within a few seconds, once more ready to go. However, Goku was not as cheery as last time. His facial expression was more serious, as it naturally came to any Saiyan with this ascended level. To those who didn't pay attention to detail, Goku would have appeared to still be in his normal Super Saiyan form. However, this time, along with his bright golden aura came frequent bolts of blue electricity surrounding him. Goku's hair also became spikier, and more defined. After a few seconds of further silence, Goku began to breathe heavily, needing to catch his breath after taking such a massive hit. "Yes! He did it!" Said Krillin in absolute joy, knowing what state Goku had entered. "Heh . . ." Mumbled Piccolo under his breath, knowing his belief was right all along. "Way to go!" Said Goten and Trunks at the same time, as the gave each other a high-five. "I knew he would do it. I'm so proud of you!" Yelled Chi Chi like a fangirl, relieved to see Goku was okay, and also happy to see he was ready to continue. I knew you'd do it, Dad. Thought Gohan, looking up to his father as always. Vegeta, however, remained silent, not exactly happy that his rival managed to come out of such a brutal hit. Goku now remained directly across from Superman, looking him straight in the eyes.

Krillin was quite surprised to see the Dark Knight pop up behind him. He was so focused on the fight that he hadn't even noticed him come by. "Gugh, Goku's hair? He's a Super Saiyan 2 right now. It's the natural hair colour of Saiyans when they use any of their Super Saiyan transformations. It's also like that in his regular Super Saiyan form. Incase you hadn't noticed, Goku's much more powerful than before." Said Krillin with a smile, placing his hand on the back of his head. He then let out a slight chuckle from under his breath. "Ghgg . . . what's the deal with your outfit?" He said, turning around and placing his hand over his mouth, trying to conceal some laughter.

Goku then returned to a normal breathing pace, and answered Superman's question. "When I was younger, I used to have a tail, like all full blooded people of my race do. With that tail, I could transform into a giant ape at the sight of a full moon. Luckily it was removed. The Saiyans also have a natural weakness with their tail, seeing as they lose power if it is grabbed to hard. However, even if I did have my tail, I don't think that would be a problem. Saiyans can develop immunity to it, like my pal Vegeta did long ago." He said, turning down to look at Vegeta leaning against a large rock. The Z Fighter then looked back at Superman. "I don't know if you have the ability to sense power or not, so I'll be honest with you. I've just ascended into my second transformation. In other words, my power has dramatically increased, along with many other fighting aspects. You'll soon find out what I mean." Said Goku, as he burst off to Superman with far greater speed than displayed before. As he neared the Kryptonian, he used a rapid zanzoken to appear behind him. However, Goku became trickier with his newly shown transformation, as he used another zanzoken to reappear in front of Superman again, spinning around and attempting to knee him in the stomach.

This again? Thought Goku, knowing that handling a mountain would be no problem. He casually brought one hand forward, directed at the incoming land mass. The Saiyan quickly gathered some ki to the palm of his hand. "Hyah!" Yelled Goku, as a moderate sized beam of bright yellow ki smashed into the mountain, exploding it into various pieces which flew by the Z Fighter. As the debris cleared, Goku noticed that Superman was no longer there. He braced himself, assuming that the Kryptonian was planning a surprise attack. However, nothing happened. Goku then began to observe the area, searching for his opponents whereabouts. Not able to see directly into the bright sky very well, Goku began to search for energy signatures. Along is searches in the area, he found a few particular members of the Justice League to have unique, and rather large energies inside of them. Still, he had recognized Superman's from before, and found him high in the sky, retreating there once more. He needs more energy! Just like last time. Thought Goku, as he dashed upwards. Again, he attempted to keep the battle low in altitude, thus he darted higher than the Kryptonian, only to come down with alarming speed and attempt to flip forward directly on top of his opponent, resulting in a possible smash to the face with his heel.

Goku didn't have much of a choice but to go along with Superman's plan, and was sent flying into the ocean. However, though Goku knew he could have stopped himself, he made it seem as if he crashed through the waters, possibly becoming unconscious. As the Saiyan entered the ocean, he slowly descended to the bottom. Once he reached the lowest point, he began to charge a giant ki bomb in each hand. After they were complete, he extended his arms, backing up, and letting them sit in place. Within a few seconds, Goku directed one ki bomb to travel in the water, passing directly underneath Superman, and eventually coming to a stop behind him, still in the water. The second ki bomb remained with Goku, right in front of him. Once the the ki bombs were in the correct places, Goku swung his left arm up, making the ki bomb which was nearly 100 metres behind Superman shoot out of the water, heading straight for him. Just as the first ki bomb was nearly two seconds away from possibly hitting the Kryptonian, Goku released the ki bomb in front of him, also headed straight for his opponent. The Saiyan's plan was to divert Superman's attention using one of the ki bombs, granting the other one a hit.

"Woah!" Said Goku, his speech slurred by being underwater. How in the world does he know how to handle my attacks like that? He must be able to sense energy . . . or maybe there's something else I don't know about. I'll just have to be quicker. Thought Goku, as he found the Kryptonian to have made a giant spash in the water, as he headed straight for him. Without waiting another second, Goku straightened his body, making somewhat of a mirror image to Superman's. As the two fighters' fists collided, a massive shockwave rippled through the ocean, causing enormous title waves to soar through the waters in all directions. Some of them headed for each fighters' support groups. Surprised by the title waves, but using little effort, the fellow Z Fighters temporarily flew away from the area, with Gohan carrying Chi Chi, and Trunks carrying Bulma.

As Goku backed up after exchanging that massive hit with his opponent, he flipped around his body, soaring towards the Man of Steel with his feet first. If Goku landed the hit, he would attempt tens of more kicks, rapidly moving his feet up and down to come into contact with Superman's body each time.

Though underwater, Goku could see what Superman was doing quite clearly, and saw him waiting above the surface with a large ship in his hands. Seeing the need for a diversion, Goku charged up a quick ki ball in his hand, one capable of making a large enough explosion to grab the attention of the Kryptonian. Within the second, the Saiyan had shot the ki ball at a nearby wall of stone underneath the water, causing it to collapse with a mild earthquake. However, just as the explosion commenced, Goku darted out of the water, charging a ki ball in his right hand at the same time. As he came a safe distance away from the Man of Steel, he fired a moderate sized ki beam at the ship, attempting to render it useless to Superman.
