really? No matter what game I play, I almost always try and save my magic points but I take it too far, I never cast magic during boss battles because I don't know how long they'll be and if I run out of magic I'll have to use an item and if I use and item I'll lose a turn for healing and...well, the story goes from there sweatdrop

oh yeah, me too....well in all honesty I never beat most games because they got too hard and I gave up right before the climactic battle at the end. It may seem stupid and whimpy but it's worked for me for 19 years. Except Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, I bloody owned that game. Repeatedly.

oh those games I keep playing until I get to that one point, then I start again. Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was a game for the SNES (dl the emulator version!) and it was essentially made for the "stupid" americans who couldn't beat any of the Final Fantasy's that had been made up to that point. It's a game for little children and stupid people but I still enjoy it even though I've long since memorized how to beat it.
I also forgot to mention that Lunar and Lunar 2 were games I beat fairly easily.

Okay, my favorite games are Cubivore, which is artfully simplistic (the whole game, even ripples in the water, is cubist). ANd also disgaea, but that is defiently a challenge to beet. Can't forgett shadow of the collosus either!

as long as the time comes eventually because Earthbound is truly the awesome game. Although the final boss is both surprising and annoying all at the same time surprised

I do hate that! You see the boss fade out and you're all relieved because you just used your last potion or whatever and you have like 4 magic points left then your boss revives and turns into like 4 new bosses. Frustrates the hell outta me every time. Well Earthbound's wierder then that...but I can't tell you why without spoiling it entirely sweatdrop

What gets me is how you go to faight a person, and then all of the sudden its not a person any more. Seriously, you can still have tough bosses that are human. I cahlk it up to the fact that squares designers aren't as good as everyone says they are.
One of my favorite boss battles is the Killer Cubivore from Cubivore. Not only is it named Zen, as in the zen of beasts, but before you fight it, you have to fight all the other bosses all over again, at the same time. Normaly that'd suck, but what you don't realise is that you've gotten so strong by that point that you can kill all of them in tree hits. Then when you fight Zen you have to, quite literally, tear off all of his arms and leags and eat them. Of course, your another monster so its okay.
