"Novels are very long books, with longer words and overall more complicated. Its best to start off with an easier book."
Artemus smiled warily at Procyon's reaction. He wasn't sure if that was a good type of giggle or not.

"Ooohh..." Crelye said, thinking. "When can I read those? Are they better?" he asked, wriggling again. He was so excited he just couldn't stay still!
At the wary smile Artemus gave him, Procyon just laughed all the more madly. Man was that fun...

Artemus twitched slightly as Procyon laughed again.
"Are you just trying to creep me out?" he demanded.
"When you think you can. I can read them to you for a while if you want, but they're harder to read on your own." He thought about it for a moment.
"Some are better, others aren't. I still read picture books every now and then." He grinned. They reminded him of happy times.

"Why, are you?" Procyon asked, smirking evilly. Ohhh it was fun... Loads of fun!
"Okay! So let's read now! I wanna read novels! Pllleeeeaaaasssseee!" Crelye begged.
Youko sighed and shook his head. Where Crelye got his love of reading, he never knew. Sure he himself liked to read, it wasn't nearly as strong as Crel's.

Artemus grinned,
"I have to get a book for you first," he pointed out. He was NOT going to read some of those books aloud.
"Maybe we could go pick one out together though, and we can start by reading the street signs as we go to the store."
"Why would I tell you that if you didn't answer my question?" Artemus replied cooly, avoiding the question.
He stood up for a second, placing Crelye on the couch.
"I'll be back, just need to use the washroom."
((EDIT: Fanta, if you're on right now, I'm going to start RPing with Desmond in the shop. xd ))

"Aw.... Okies, I guess." Crelye said, pouting a little. He wanted to read now!
Procyon just smirked again at Artemus. He'd won, he knew it. But his smirk disappeared as he looked at the disapproving look his Mommy gave him. Returning to his sulking state, the mischief maker moodily stared at the ground before him.
"Heeeyy!" Crel whined, his bottom lip sticking out.

How are you going to protect Artemus like that?" he asked, making a face. "It doesn't work like thaaat!" Enikil " Then.. where woudl you liek me to stay? cuase if you're scared I want to help" He siad softly, putting a hand ont he others hip, holding him a bit closer now. Desmond worried alot, it was jsut how he was.
"Yes he dose work, I;ve doen ti ebfore! If I sleep on the floor, anything int he dark wont see me till its too late" he smiled softly, trying to convince him other wise. Him and Artemus had slep ont he couch once before, but that was a little cat nap.
"Its not as bad as it was when I was younger... but some times I do get a little creeped out..."
Artemus grinned at Crelye and nodded.
"He has lots of practice protecting people."

Desmond wasn't sure if that nod was a yes or not to him staying over, he'd really liek too but wouldn't push it. "Well... its up to you if you want me to stay or not... if you say no it wont hurt my feelings"
"Yes! I do have lots of practice! I am a master of protecting people!" Desmond chuckled a bit.

Crelye grinned, wagging his tail. "Then Desmond will protect Artemus from the scary darkness?" he asked, looking anxious. "Won't you?" the chid asked, looking up at the demon.

Artemus ruffled Crelye's hair.
"He will. He's done it before." He grinned and looked up at Desmond.
"If you don't mind... I would like you to stay."

Desmond looked from Crelye then to Artemus and smiled a tiny bit. " Of course I'll protect him! Nothing will get past me to him" he hugged the fox agaisnt him and kissed his nose softly.
"I don't mind in the slightest....." He nuzzled his face agaisnt th eothers soft ear. "Even if I sleep on the floor again..."

Crelye giggled. "Yay! But no sleeping on floor! I never do that with Mommy and Daddy!"
Youko groaned. "Crel... It's different for you. Let him sleep where he will!" He was tempted to grab his kid and muffle him, but... Well he couldn't do that to cute Crelye!

Desmond couldn't help but chuckle at the little boy, he was such a cutie. When Artemus said he wouldn't be sleeping on the floor, he looked down at him softly.
"No floor for me then.. nor for you.." He smiled and kissed the others nose softly. The demon kept his arms around the other, tail included. "I'll be super good... scouts honour"
