The girl stiffled a laugh, although she made a production of trying to get back to her feet once they were in the safety of the cave. Why--WHY did he have to make things so difficult? But really, she should be one to talk. She enjoyed the warmth that he had to offer, even if it brought back memories of a time when a little game went too far. Really, that face of hers had begun to blush once more.

"Sorry for--Sai'gare!" Well, at least now she had a valid reason to blush. Despite the ephemeral moments of quasi-romance and white-hot attraction on a hot summer night in the middle of a patch of sunflowers had to say, not once had Tsukei'chi seen a man naked. The closest she had come was that of changing a baby's diaper and nothing more.

Perhaps he didn't care-- maybe it was his way of trying to get into her pants, but it would be a cold day in hell when that 'brave knight' sheathed his blade in her maidenhood. "For crying at loud, do you mind!?"

And up went that bandaged hand aimed to smack the man's head for his lack of thought. Wether that hand made hand or not, Tsukei'chi couldn't tell. Already her eyes were shut tight and face turned away. Not that she caught a good glimpse or anything, but it was enough: her face was a bright red and words failed to leave her mouth. Tsukei'chi was definately flustered.

Oh, why did things have to take a turn for the sour?! Thing had been going so well, they were laughing! They were talking! For Mikaboshi's sake they weren't even arguing or bickering! And then that flimsy robe just had to fall off of his shoulders right when he had a .1% chance of getting into her panties! THE HIGHEST YET!

He quickly leapt back out of her striking range, the wind off of her hand cooling the tip of his nose. Oh, but if things could only go so smoothly for him. He could have stumbled a bit, put his robe back on, and then all would have been fine!

IT WAS A TSUKUMOGAMI! His robe was posessed! It had it out for him! He tripped over it, stumbled, it got tangled with his legs - and he fell. Thankfully he didn't fall forward and take the Konohana follower down with him, and his nude form. ..Although if he did it right he could have landed on a rather nice pair of pillows.

No, instead he fell onto his back with a rather loud thud and cry of pain. Oh, but make no mistake, he had known Tsukeichi for a long time. He had to at least cover himself a little bit or she would have kicked him while he was down!

..Or waited until he got up to kick him down again. But either way it spelled pain for him.

He began to squirm away from the buxom brute. taking that robe with him and draping it over his midsection, just to make sure he didn't embarrass the woman further. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!"

"By the gods, are you alright!?" Oh, why, why, WHY did she have to give a damn about what happened to that pervert? Instinctively she opened her eyes, just in time to see him fall and in an effort to help, she reached out to grab his hand, keep him from falling.

Unfortunately, as his feet got caught in that robe and he stumbled, so did she. Her left foot got tangled into the strewn sash before being wrapped up in his robe. As he pulled on the 'posessed' article of clothing, her right foot tripped over its twin and before she knew it, the world was spinning yet again. "Ack!"

At least she had the presence of mind to move her knee before fully destroying the man. One dug into his thigh and the other hit the hard floor rather painfully to the point upon which Tsukei'chi's full lips parted in a shocked, winced gasp. It was she who fell face-first unto his chest, those moist lips leaving a nice little trail along his exposed flesh as her teeth instinctively nipped. The scene, the sounds -- any passerby would take the wrong asessement on the situation.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, are you alright?" Tsukei'chi placed her hands at his sides and pushed herself off so that she hovered above him as she tilted her face to catch a better glimpse of his face. "Did you hit your head?"

Okay, Tsukei'chi, time to roll off the half-nekkid man, now. Seriously... move. Um.. hello...body.. move.. lift.. roll over.. By the Gods, why isn't my body listening?

Why couldn't things go well for him, ever? Why did Mikaboshi curse him so!? Was it because he killed the high priest?! What did it matter, the old man was in his eighties and would have died soon anyway!? Oh, if only his luck would turn around. Yet, it only seemed to get worse.

As she fell forth he yelped in surprise. His voice, suddenly becoming high pitched as his most prized posessions were missed by the earth student's knee. He let out a sigh of relief prematurly as her knee made contact with his thigh instead. If only that was it for the young male of Mikaboshi. All would have been find if that was it.

Yet as she yelped, his luck spiked slightly as she collapsed forth and bit into him. ..He wasn't complaining at the very least. Yet as always his luck was..

Turning around? He stared up a Tsukeichi as she hovered above him, long lashes flutterin as his eyes blinked. No, no, this was bad. It was just like that night in the sun flowers. It was for the first time that night crimson reached up to caress his pale cheeks. Was it good? no it was bad because she'd never forgive him!

..But it was oh so good.

"Ah.." he lost his voice - or his ability to speak for a moment but finally he managed to clear his throat. "I'm fine. I think, anyway." he mumbled, uttered, he could speak but not very well. His words came out paused, quiet, sharp. "I don't think I'm bleeding anyway!" he chuckled, although it was hardly funny.

"Everything will be fine if you just keep your hands to yourself, Sai'gare."

Tsukei'chi nodded, her gaze adjusting to both the light and the short distance between them. If anything, it seemed like those golden-grey orbs glowed in the darkness, perhaps with a hint of mischief, or was that something else? The sight of his lips, so close and available made a soft, squeal-like sound erupt from her own. Yes, that night amid the sunflowers was vivid alright... vivid, aluring, demanding. One could say that the night was one and the same, the cave walls those of towering green and gold foliage.

"Oh. " Was her own reply, her body at last moving although hesitant. Her gaze, simply flickered from his lips, to his eyes and back again, even as the distance was added between them. It was almost as if she were in a daze, the poor Tsukei'chi and her body conspiring against her.

And it was. Instead of rolling off of him completely, all she did was straddle him. It was as if she couldn't figure out, for the life of her, wether to roll, left, right or simply climb backward. It was as if her brain shut down completely. Slowly did she roll back, except of course, Tsukei'chi was going nowhere and the result was that the follower of the Earth simply sat atop that of Mikaboshi. "Okay.. because, you know, I don't have any healing spells or anything."

Thankfully, the pain at her knee reminded Tsukei'chi of where she was and instantly rolled off to the left, hands flying to the right knee. Oh, dear, those leggings had torn as well as her flesh. In a few minutes, a nice bruise would be formed. And now, the young girl had an excuse for her distraction -- she had a knee to nurse and pay attention to. "But, really, why would you risk your neck to come and visit me?"

"Don't do it!" Oh, but the urge to just take her then and there was so strong. Her position was perfect to just roll her over, and take her. There was something one had to understand, however. Sai'gare and Tsukeichi shared a relationship of over ten years. More than ten years of simple friendship, friendly bickering, and growing up together. Even when he was young, he was a playboy.

Yet Tsukeichi was the only woman he could never get that close to. Only once had he tasted her lips and that was the most satisfying night with a woman he had ever had, even if the both of them remained clothed.

Needless to say, that moment together was quickly drawing upon his memories. It was by that point he couldn't even speak. His own eyes fell upon her lips, and then those glowing golden orbs which captivated him so. He couldn't move, he was paralyzed, his body demanding that he leaned up to take this lips yet again.

Yet he was terrified. Scared of her, the punishment she would cast unto him, and fear of losing an already precious relationship. It was growing hard, though - and he could tell, even if it was only somewhere in the back of his mind, Tsukeichi was having a hard time as well.

It was when she rolled off of him to too made a snap back to reality. "Oh!" he cried with a start as he shot up into a sitting position. He then waved his hand to her as he began to stand up, telling her to look away. He wasn't able to speak just yet, but the crimson on his cheeks said that much. That robe was slipped on swiftly, and his sash was tied about his hips just as quickly.

However, he took his time to make sure it was nice and tight this time. Finally, he managed to speak. "Just because someone tells me not to do something, doesn't mean I'm not going to do it. Especially when there's somthing as important as you on the line." he paused with his words. Looked up, stared long and hard at the wall in front of him in thought.

"I...meannotlikewehaveanythingspecialgoingon!"

"Gee. Thanks." She said quietly from whence she sat, her gaze darting to him a moment later. "Its nice to know all I'm good for are kinks of disobedience."

After all, that's what he was saying, right? That the only reason he bothered to come for these surprise visits was the thrill of getting in trouble, of gettin caught and punished by the higher ups of the Shrines. He was just being a masochist in that respect and for some reason, it hurt. Maybe, she really wanted to him to see her as a friend, and perhaps, as something more. Although why, Tsukei'chi did not know wether because he had stolen her first kiss, so by default he was the only man whose touch she knew... or because she genuinely had feelings for him.

Oh, who was she kidding, it probably was a mixture of both! Since childhood, he was the only one who ever got to see her cry -- even if rarely -- and the one who was there to offer help when needed it. He was actually kind to her now in their older years and even respectful when with other women .. well....

What do they have that I don't? Tsukei'chi shook her head, pushing said thoughts away as she sat upright. Oh, she was just being stupid and she knew it. They were friends, right? "Are you going to stay for the Harvest Festival? I'm sure I can find you a costume and such.."

As she spoke, her fingertips pulled at one of the two bottles strapped to her waist. She had meant to pick the white bottle, as that was the one that contained water. Instead, it was the black container that was raised to her lips and its contents allowed to slip past them. Tsukei'chi's throat had gone so parched that she drank without hesitation and it wasn't until a burn ate at her throat did a sofr cry escape from her countenance.

Those eyes were wide as saucers as she spit out. Oh... crap...
PostPosted: Sun Oct 08, 2006 9:16 pm

He stared at her as the words flowed from her lips, and he tilted his head. Didn't she just hear him? He said he did it for her! Because he wanted to see her, and be by her! What it came down to was the fact that he wasn't going to stay away from her just because someone told him he couldn't see her anymore.

Naturally because of this obviousness, he chalked it up to her being a smartass. "But of course!" he stated in that sing-song voice that was commonly found in Sai'gare's throat. Now, under normal circumstances Sai'gare was a smart young man who could think things through a decipher what a person meant. After all, it was one of his specialties that his shrine taught him.

But it was also a fault. Sometimes he simply looked into things way too much. Thusly, when Tsukeichi said what she honestly meant, it didn't click with him. It wouldn't click with him. Because that just wasn't true.

So, in the end, what was Tsukeichi lacking? Certainly, if he slept with everyone else but her, she was just unappealing to him! No, the fact was she simply had far too much. She had too much to offer him, and because of the fact that he wouldn't be joining her when they split paths, he wasn't worthy.

Tsukeichi was too good for him.

"If we can find a costume, then that's fine. Just no cutting my hair." After all, due to it's length and health it was something he was very proud of. He wouldn't be willing at all to let Tsukeichi just hack away those cords for the sake of hiding him.

He turned just in time to see Tsukeichi take a swig from her endless sake bottle, and his face went blank. At first, he thought nothing of it. After all, it's not like it was wrong for her to drink. It was her bottle, after all. Yet at the same time he couldn't help but be curious. "When did you start drinking? I thought you cursed the stuff."

Now, although she was a follower of the Earth and as part of her garb she was given a bottle of never ending sake suply, it didn't mean she took use of it very often. And there was a reason for it too! "Thaz beecause *hic* Ion't." As soon as the words subsided, a soft giggle escaped her lips.

Well. Hmm. Apperantly the young girl's tolerance to alcohol was absurdly low. "Id washn my *hic* intenshion...to *hic* " Again, with the giggles, the small supressed laughter. "y'know... you're raahther cue-cue... *giggle* adorrahble. *snort* Wait. Wait. Wait."

For the love of the gods, it sounded like she had already plastered herself and she'd taken how much? A sip? Two? Half the bottle! "Dahsh nae whu I meant."

At this, Tsuekei'chi struggled to stand and only ended up in all fours for a minute or two. Eventually she staggered to her feet, where she proceeded to simply sway from side to side before bravely taking a few steps forward. "Keba ish adorahble. You.. *gigglefitsnort* are far from it." At this, she nodded, lounged and simply draped an arm around Sai'gare's form.

"Sai'gare..." She whimpered slightly, her lips now brushing his ear. He could definately hear the pout of her lips. "Wha-wha's wrong vith me?"

Now, what she meant was not what was wrong with her at the moment-- she was drunk and Tsukei'chi knew it. What she meant was 'why not me?' but chances were that the boy was not going to comprehend that at all. Ah, men.. Mikaboshi's men simply read into things too much, and at times, not enough.

Ah, that's right, there was a reason why she didn't drink. He could recall a day in the past in which she recieved her kameosa, and together with their group of elder students they gathered to drink in celebration. Tsukeichi turned into an emotional mess, and Sai'gare didn't have the slightest idea as to what to do.

It was once those memories returned to him the tall male instantly went pale as he stared at the drunken woman before him. Would she strike him down in an emotional rampage!? He quickly covered his head half expecting that bottle to come flying at him, but a few seconds passed and nothing happened.

The sad thing was? Just after a gulp she was already plastered. Low tolerance level? Clearly.

He couldn't help but watch as she rambled, and giggled along. Every time she would say something, she would giggle. He would try to get a word in, and she'd begin again.

A little fox boy was more attractive than he was? Ouch!

Yet, Sai'gare was, when it came down to it, a genuinely good person. Sure, he followed Amatsu Mikaboshi, he lived to cause chaos, but that didn't mean morally speaking he was a bad person. He just did things in a different manner.

And some of his morals were screwed up too.

He heaved a rather heavy sigh as his arm wrapped itself around her waist to stablize her. Now granted, the fact that her lips were brushing against his ear was a rather.. More than comfortable uncomfortably position but she was drunk. She couldn't help it, and thusly whatever thoughts those full lips caused were swiftly brushed to the back of his mind.

Indeed, he responded in the manner that he decided was most appropriate. "Nothing, Tsukeichi. You're just drunk." he stated simply as he nodded his head. She asked a question, simply, and he answered that question in simplicity.

"Yesh *hic* but.. no.. I vean..." The girl sighed, her breath hot and heave upon his neck as her head now drooped to rest on his shoulder as his hand wrapped about her waist. Her tongue felt numb, thick and unwieldy. For the love of the gods, why did she have to be cursed with such low tolerance when it came to any form of fermented liquids? And worst of all, why did she always have the urge to spill her guts, unbarred and unchecked? It was a horrible feeling, wanting to say something, desire to keep it secret and yet, be unable to convey what one meant.

Regardless of how confusing it was.

Eitherway, even if she managed to utter out the words the chances that Sai'gare would understand them was zero to nill. " I... " Frustrated, and perhaps more confused by the overpowering surge of emotions boiling within, Tsukei'chi burried her face upon his shoulder. A tiny, restrained little whimper escaped her throat.

A semi-bandaged hand fell upon his other shoulder and refused to remain there. It simply slipped, fingernails digging into his robe, then flesh, as Tsukei'chi struggled to keep it from falling. Once, twice, that hand managed to find a home upon that shoulder, only to have it slip yet again and the whole torment commence from the beginning.

But the question was: was Tsukei'chi crying?

Again, that face shifted, head rolled, lips came to brush against his neck. That tiny little whimper so similar to that of a person crying but now, more evident to belong to a person struggling with conflicting emotions. " Sai'gahrwe... "

And whatever words were to be said, they simply trailed off as a soft kiss was offered, then a gentle nibble.
PostPosted: Mon Oct 09, 2006 8:03 pm

Oh, the poor thing.

Sai'gare or Tsukeichi?

He felt her weight press against him as he began to back up, a small attempt to find a place to sit both of their bodies. After all, it wasn't easy supporting someone who was essentially dead weight. He tried his best to keep his composure as he felt her breath on his neck, that kissing, that nibbling.

With a sigh he finally sat him bum down on the cold hard ground that blonged to the cave floor and allowed her to sit across his lap. Oh, but he meant nothing suggestive by it! Just because he was forced to sit o the ground didn't mean that she absolutely had to. Especially when there was a warmer seat presence.

"Shh." he stated as a hand came up to stroke the back of her head gently. Was she crying? Was she being emotional? Sai'gare really couldn't tell, but either way he was trying the best he could to calm the poor upset young woman. "Don't worry about it, Tsukeichi." he stated simply, soothingly. "You should get some sleep now." he stated.

Aw, Sai'gare - trying to make her go to sleep so soon? Yes he was, after all the sooner she went to sleep the sooner she would wake up. Maybe with a splittin headache, nausea, and typical signs of a hang over but she wouldn't be drunk anylonger. She would be easier to deal with.

But, his luck wasn't so great.

He tilted his head down to her as she called out to him. "Hum?" he questioned.

She sighed, softly, as he lowered them to the ground. It almost reminded her of the short trip over upon which he cradled her out of the blue. Just what was he doing, anyway, sending mixed signals her way? The little quips, the remarks, the way he acted around her.

Perhaps, if they had never kissed that night, all would be fine and still the same. Or was it just inevitable?

He turned to face her and she pulled away as if to say something. Drunk or sober, it still was a difficult thing to say. Oh, why couldn't he be a mind reader when it came to such things, it just would make things easier, right? No. Maybe he'd simply laugh, find it amusing... use it to his advantage and... would he?

But Sai'gare wasn't like that, at least not with her. Right? Tsukei'chi said nothing, and watched, scrutinizingly for a moment as if trying to find any outward sign. And in the end, before she knew it was happening, her lips were on top of his, almost hesitantly.

Oh, she'd been dying to do that again since he left so awkwardly that night.
PostPosted: Mon Oct 09, 2006 8:36 pm

He stared right back at her cluelessly. What did she wanted him to say? What she want from him? Sai'gare was still clueless as to what was going on in her mind. How could he know to begin with? He was under the impression that he was the only one who chose to remember the night before he left so fondly.

Indeed, perhaps if that never happened they would still be friends. She wouldn't be drunk - and he wouldn't be confused as hell. After all, who was the one sending the greatest majority of the signals? The way she kissed and nibbled at his neck, her breath right there on his flesh.

Just because she was drunk wasn't excuse to tease him!

Then, before he could properly prepare himself she was closing in. His initial reaction was to back away. She was a terrifying person, he didn't want anything to happen and have her sober up the next day and blame him for it. He was being carefuly, extremely so.

But oviously not cautious enough. Before he could even move an inch his back was pressed against the wall behind him, and that olive flesh was just getting closer - not to mention those plump tiers. ..He paused at that moment. Was this something he could deny? Wasn't he working against fate?

Or was that just what his lower brain wanted him to think?

Soon enough, those lips were pressed onto his, and he simply couldn't help but respond. It would have been absolutely wrong to do otherwise, right? The moment last only for a short ammount of time as his hands come to press against her shoulders in an attempt to push her away. However, he wasn't stupid. The drunken was a fragile mind, and even if he pushed her away he still held onto her at the shoulder.

"What do you want from me?" He had to be absolutely sure that this wasn't the booze making her move. As much as he slept around, she was the one woman he never touched for one simple reason. He wanted to make sure that it wouldn't end after just one night. Two kisses was enough to tease him, to get his hopes up. If she crushed him now it wouldn't be as bad as it would be if she walked away the morning after.

She couldn't go anywhere, not yet. He couldn't let her go. Because of this, his fingetips dug into the clothing which covered her shoulders tightly, making sure she wouldn't get away without struggle. His eyes eagerly sought her own out, those deep chocolate pools peering into golden honey - if her voice couldn't give him an answer.. Could he at least pull that 'looking into the soul' s**t people talked about?

And just like that, the world came tumbling down, shattered. Yes, yes, the drunk were a fragile mind and Tsukei'chi, especially, a fragile enough soul. His backing away should have given her a clue, and yet, she couldn't stop herself. God god, what had she reduced herself to, another one of those floozies she fought hard to differenciate herself from?

It was when he pushed her away when a second whimper erupted from her lips, this one, however, filled with misery. She couldn't look at him anymore, and as the world about her faded into a misty fog of tears, that gold-gray gaze shifted toward the floor. Her hands lifted, covering her face as to hide the embarassed, pained blush upon her skin. Rejection was just hard enough to cope with without intoxication.

"I'm jusht nae gud enouff am I?" Indeed, that was her biggest fear after all. One that had plagued her enough in their formative years when it became painfully obvious that neither one of them belonged with the rest of them. It was a fear that had not previously existed between them until that night, with the full moon and the sunflowers bearing witness.

She had just been a part of a joke, damnit it! He had tempted her to join in his perverse games knowing that she wouldn't, and Tsukei'chi, like an idiot, decided to prove him wrong. And now what? She'd given herself permission to hope, and to dream wether with or against her own will and now... Now she sat there, crying, dejected, hurt and unable to hide as he had a firm enough hold on her shoulders.

Damnable men!
