MARIOandFRIENDS The West Aurora Middle School Bands are decent, but I much prefer the the West Aurora High School Wind Symphony, the band I play in. If all the high school bands in the U.S. were ranked from best to worst. we'd be within the top 5%. And by the way, it's not too hard to win Music in the Parks in St. Louis. I played for JMSB in 2005, and we easily took first place. Man, I can't wait for Midwest tomorrow!!!

Illinois here.. w00t! Northern, to be exact. I go to a small private school with no (good) band/orchestra. Our band program is mostly for kids in, like, fifth grade. I'm in a county orchestra right now and next year I'm trying out for pit. And the state orchestra thing.

I'm in rural SW Missouri. I teach music at a small school. I just started a band this year. Actually, they don't sound at all bad for a bunch of kids who just started in September. We've already won our first parade trophy (and I have a trophy case for them already) and are starting on grade 2 level music.
I personally play for the St. Louis Symphony (first violin) and do lots of pick up gigs. I also play with a Blues Band in the area and do lots of gigging with them.

DING! southern Illinois here too =) moookau Suburb of Chicago, IL... Our mid. school band went to superstate in central IL, but I'm in HS now. When did you guys go to superstate? Where was it held again, cause my middle school band went to something like that...

Our mid. school band went to superstate in central IL, but I'm in HS now. ^^ Just because Moookau never came back... yeah, I go to school with her. Glenn Westlake Middle School? We won a bunch of trophies at Music in the Parks in St. Louis that same year...I think it was 2006? But yeah, we went to Superstate and Music in the Parks on the same trip. my brother went to West Aurora, they actually have a really good band program as I recall. he played clarinet.

Chicago IL!! Lincoln Park Highshcool. we win like so many competitions each year. On the news almost all the time for preformances at games and parades. We made NewsWeek top 100 us highschool.s number 30 in the nation I think? and umm 1 in Il. Dont mean to brag but Yeah...we basically rule. lol.
who's going to IHSA?
