She took his hand and climbed out of the carriage.

Hagane pulled her along, making sure she stayed close. He did not trust some of the old men of the village. They finally entered a small shop, dimly lit with few candles.

He pulled her in further to a back room, revealing a single room with a pedestal containing a black box in a glass case.

She grabbed the box and fiddled it with her fingers. "Will I be surprised?"

Kage let her curiosity get the better of her and opened the box. "Oh my," she said in amazement. She pulled out a lovely little necklace. "Is this for me?"

Hagane nodded slowly, walking over to her and placing it around her neck and clasping it together. Her Raijin Blade would now begin to pulsate as the amber gem of the necklace began to glow then fade out.

She turned around on the spot with a sad lok in her eyes. "You are not going to die. I won't let them take you. I refuse." She embraced him as a tear fell down her cheek. The necklace grew very bright as she reached up and kissed him. "Thank you." She managed to say.

He wrapped his arms around her and returned the kiss, wiping the tear from her cheek. "We all go sooner or later. And I fear I do not have the power to stop them."
