Azikayal let out a sigh, he knew he had let himself get weak. But well, what else could he do? When someone kidnapped you, jolted you with lightning and then tried to cut you up, it wasn't that easy to think straight. However, Hayate had done splendidly in Kaya's eyes and he swallowed nervously.
He avoided the first statement out of shame, and the last out of embaressment. Meant it the way it sounded or not, it wasn't often someone told Kaya something like that. So instead, he chose to answer the question, "No. No..." He coughed. "I just ... wander..."

Well that seemed to settle things then. "No wonder..." Taking several steps, he simply walked off the building, spreading his great wings and taking to flight. "I suppose that means you shall just have to come with me..." For there was no one who could have made him leave the other alone in his condition.

Closing his colorless eyes, the angel simply allowed Hayate to take him away. There was no where else for him to be anyway, his place was here with Hayate. To fix things. A second chance from a perfect legend. Easily Kaya folded his wings, trying to make it easier for Hayate and with his second sight he felt guilty to know that the ends of Hayate's gorgeous hair was now red with his blood. He regret it, and that wasn't good.
"With you? I have ... no objections." He reluctantly held back a cough.

He smiled, "Good. For if you'd had any I'd have to take you despite protests..." The other was frail enough as it was, and to leave him out here would be to jeopardize his very life, especially after the attack today. "And don't blame yourself for any of this..." He could tell all too easily that this angel...Kaya...was the sort who would be far too hard on himself.

At this statement Kaya couldn't help but release a choking laugh, that all but shook him to the point of gasping for air. It was cute, but still depressing. The angel had really let himself go.
"I ... am still ashamed. Whether you blame me or not." Kaya said fluidly after regaining air to his lungs. Pathetically he flashed a smile and then shrugged as best as he could, wincing all the same.

Hayate's smile was sad. No one...no one deserved to be like this...if Kaya was not up to taking care of himself, then the demon would just have to help him...or make him...depending on how things went. But suddenly he had a purpose for himself...and that purpose was to care for this enchantingly fragile being who had apparently already died for him once.
"Why are you ashamed, Azikayal?" He asked quietly, for only when he knew the reasons could he dispute the arguement.

"I had protected you so long ago," he whispered. It was as if he could no longer talk louder, or as if he wasn't really talking. Perhaps he was just ...thinking... the words, for his mouth barely moved and he looked too injured to speak in full sentences. Still the words formed in the other's mind all the same, "And now... I have grown so weak, I cannot even protect myself. I was alone, cursed and searching ... for you... but now... look at me. I'm in your arms, an injured soul, and I haven't done you any good."
Tears began to run down the silent and blind angel's face, staining his cheeks and spattering his blood drooping wings with the tears. However it didn't cause much of an impact for the fact that they were flying.

"Don't you say that." In contrast to Kaya's, Hayate's voice was firm and strong, reverberating in his chest. "Don't you dare say that, my friend...if you had not done what you did back there, I would have been seriously injured at the least...if not killed."
"Don't cry..." He bent his head and his lips brushed the angel's forehead, much as one might calm a child. "Don't cry...there is no reason for you to shed tears...for if you continue so then I might have to weep as well, for your sake..."

Azikayal winced at the touch of Hayate's lips on his forehead, as if the kind and calming gesture was a pained stab. Out of childish innocence and a pout cuter then a baby bunny rabbit, Azikayal wrapped his arms around his friend's neck and buried his head against the other's chest in shame, "I'm sorry." Again the mental voice spoke for him. "I just wish I wasn't so weak in this life. I'm sorry I'm crying... usually I'm not this weak in front of others but in front of you. ... In front of you... I fall."

One hand's hold slid up, to cradle the back of the other's head, fingers lacing in that fall of hair. Again, his head tilted down and this time a kiss was placed in that silken skein. "You do not have to apologize...for weak you might be in body but I know that there is a strength in you that transcends even mine."
There was the faintest of sympathetic chuckles, "And if I am the one you let your guard down around...then I am honored."

The angel had no words, if he had known the demon he'd saved had truly been this pure of heart... he would've risked more then his body for this man. He would've risked his very being, his mentality... everything. For being an angel of Heaven one was shunned by his own kind, and by demons, whereas mortals wanted nothing more then to gawk instead of being friends.
At the compliment Kaya was silent, and at the kiss to his hair he was even more so. Never could he remember being so close, and not only in body. It was as if their pasts linked their very souls at the core.
"Honored?" he finally managed.

"Yes...for it is not weakness to be afraid, so show sorrow...to be sorry...even if it is misplaced...it is simply the revealing of a part of what lies within one's heart." Kaya would be able to feel the demonic being's smile against his hair...as he had not moved, "So yes...I am honored..."
So close...he was so close to this angel, and indeed felt a kinship with him, a strange sort of attachment that he could not imagine sharing with anyone else. Pasts connected...he wished to know more.
And then, he alighted upon the lawn of a small brick house, set just outside the city. He had made his home here...he had a life...totally unaware of who he had been before.

Azikayal let himself smile, let himself be cradled in the arms of the demon. There was nowhere else he wanted to be. Nowhere else he could think of being. His destiny was to befriend Hayate, and so he had done that. And now he was going to live with him for a bit? That was... amazing.
Kaya was laughing inside as well, as if he had become so sad everything was funny. "You live here?"

"Yes..." Hayate went to the door, producing a key from somewhere, though he never once let go of his important burden. Flicking on the lights, the place was rather cozy, outfitted nicely in deep reds and browns...a harmony of color.
"Treat this place as yours...for it is for as long as you want to stay."

Kaya's blind eyes opened and he let his senses take in the surroundings. Though his eyes could not see, the rest of his body saw for him and what he 'saw' he approved of. Hayate was blue, but this house was Kaya colored and he blended in nicely.
Smiling, Azikayal cuddled Hayate in a friendly thankful manner. "Thank you Hayate."
