Well... he couldn't tell squat about her hand from her expression, a very good poker face indeed. And if he were back in his old days, he'd have found someway to put that to good use. Still now he picked up his two cards one at a time.
An eight... this was good...
and a king... VERY good... and his manhood would be spared embarassment.
Glancing back to Moira he nodded, "Alright, now normally we'd place bets one last time, but as we're not betting, we'll just show our hands." Smiling, a bit smugly, he laid down his hand, "full house eights full of kings."
Trying not to be too pleased with himself, he looked her in the eyes, a light smile playing on his lips, "and you my dear?"

She watched him lay his cards down, and her heart sunk a little. Well at least she wouldn't have to play off her winning. She laid down her pair of twos and kings, and her ace, and grinned a little. "Looks like you won, Shane." Moira grinned at him.
"Nicely done." She took all five cards from her hand and his, and shuffled them into the deck. She watched him for a minute, and grinned a little. "Maybe next time we can bet something, yeah?" She asked idly, shuffling the cards absently.

His heart nearly stopped at the sight of her cards, apparently lady luck really liked to smile on her, or the girl completely knew what she was doing. "Jeez, girly, you've a right mind for poker I'll tell you that. We can play anytime, and sure we'll bet something next time... not sure what but..." Don't say strip poker, don't say strip poker, don't say strip poker! Resisting the urge he merely smiled.
"Someday I'll dazzle you with stories of my high rolling days. And I'll teach you some other forms of poker." Grinning, he moved and leaned back on his elbows spreading his long legs out in front of him. "That is if you want to hear and learn."

Moira grinned, and leaned back, watching him. Moira shook her head a little, amused, and nodded to him. "I'd love to hear tales, and learn more." She promised, grinning at the Irishman in front of her. She looked around, and sighed a little, stifling a yawn.
"Unfortunately, I think I should get back to my room." She rose with an idle grin, shuffling the cards again. Moira tipped her head at him and grinned. "I'll see you around, Shane." With her farewell nod, she turned and left the training room to return to her own room.
With thoughts of the Irishman on her mind, of course. And that curious woman Eponine.

Even as the People began to leave the training room archer began the next step in his workout program. Turning to the punching bag next to him he began to throww a few light punches the strikes being barely audilbe. He started out with a few jabs, changing it up with a left or right at random intervals. He did this for over 10 minutes and then he really began to hit the bag. The slaps of hits began to ring out through the now nearly empty room as he began to treat it as a real opponent. He ducked, he dodged imagining an old friend who used to do this with him. To anyone watching he must have looked like a complete idiot, unless they actually knew what he was doing.

Estrelas found herself cradling Angel and standing at the door of the room where she met that girl, Eponine....
She must have looked strange, her shawl wrinkled and hair dishiveled from her non-sleep rest. Not to mention that she was carrying a creamy-furred rabbit.
Eponine was gone, as with the crowd from the room. Phew.
However, there was one... Man left........Dancing with a punching bag.
Estrelas kept a tight hold on Angel. Unlike most rabbits, Angel had no problem being held.
She approached Archer and watched for a while before saying, "Thaat sims fahhh (fair) fun..."

((HE's in sweats, not his suit and tie XD now that would just look funny XD mad man archer!))
Archer stopped when he heard the voice start up behind him. He had been so absorbed in his imaginary sparring match that he hadn't even noticed that someone had come in.
He stopped the bad from swinging back and forth by bracing it with his body before he turned around. There was a very pretty young woman standing behind him and he reflexively bowed.
"Good day to you Miss." he said smiling. "and good day to you." He nodded to the rabbit that was held in her arms. "I'm sorry that i didn't notice you come in, is there something i can do for you?"

((Damn! xd Sorry, I assumed that he'd be in the suit-and-tie outfit. xd That woulda been just damn weird, eh?
Oh yeah, by the way, Estrelas comes from the 14th century,....))
Estrelas smiled politely. "Na, sah, surry, I was just watching you.... Er.... Dance... With the.. Punching bag," she replied. "That's a very interesting culture you come from, I've never seen any rituals like it before. Is it like some sort of wardance?" she asked curiously. Angel blinked curiously. Blink-blink. Her rabbity-mind had never been addressed by anyone aside from Estrelas or someone yelling "GET OUTTA THERE!" from the veggie garden. Blink-blink. Nose-twitch-twitch.

Archer listened as She seemed to struggle through her speech. He chuckled politely as he asked about the war dance. "not quite, my homeland of England no longer preforms any sort of war dance. In fact for many centuries the english people have not danced such dances. No, my fair lady, that was just an exercise, a way to make one's self stronger." he smiled, He had forgotten that there might be people in this world now that didn't know about more of the present day items.
"and where, if I may ask, has sucha lovely lady as yourself come from?"

Estrelas was suspicious at first, but Angel did not have any tense notions about the man. The rabbit seemed relaxed but alert. There was nothing to fear.
She nodded comprehensively as he explained about the exercise. "Ah, so no dance," she commented. She straightened a bit. "I am Estrelas Alvares from Portugal," she declared. "And you is?" Estrelas asked.
Angel twitched her nose. There wasn't anything to be scared of now, at least to the rabbit.

Archer bowed "My Name is Archer wells, I hail from England. I am pleased to make your aquantance." He straightened and dabbed at his face with the towel. "I must appologize for my appearance, I was not expecting anyone to really be in here at this time. So you must forgive me if i look a little... Out of sorts." He said smiling.

Estrelas stiffened, then bowed back, unsure of English Customs. He obviously wasn't from the Englad her Portugal formed an alliance with. "...Pleesed to meet you ta?" she asked inquiringly.
She laughed a bit at his last statement. "Dan't worry; I come from a family of peasa- ...I come from not such a high social ranking as you. We ware instricted as child-ren naught to take so mach pride in appaaarances," she replied.

Archer only smiled at her bow. It wasn't necissary on her part, but she was obviously trying so hard.
"I have always found that taking pride in your appearance helps you take pride in other aspects of your life." He smiled meaning no insult or harm. "And as for social ranking, here it has no meaning. Please do not think that you should look down upon yourself because of that." He smiled kindly at her. "we are all new recruits here, all in the same situation, it would be my pleasure to help out such a lovely lady as yourself."

Estrelas shifted from one foot to another... She wasn't used to being called a "lovely lady..." Pretty child, but lovely lady?
Estrelas mumbled.... "You're too kaaand, (kind) sah," she mumbled, blushing before remembering to slam that protective emotionless shell over her face.
She smiled. "You are a gentleman," she stated. Angel flicked her whiskers at him.
