foxyboy_chan Yukina also means 'snow plant'. Even though some people say her name means 'snow flower', that is impossible, seeing 'flower' is translated into 'hana'.
=o
Kuwabara Kuwabara does mean "Oh my god!" or something you say when you see a ghost.
xD
Why do you think Hiei wasn't very appealing to most people in the beginning of the series?
=o true. oh! and there's also some myth about some god giving birth to an island that floated in the sky in Japanese folklore as well. o3o xd mwa ha ha! yesh, Kuwa-kun's name ish a naughty-word. (in mannor of speaking) yeah, Togashi took quite a while to figure out how he wanted to draw his characters, didn't he. o3o; (oh and also, if you don't get a hold of Togashi's interview for proof, check for yourself, in the 3 manga (Hiei's first appearence) you see him without a shirt on, but no dragon tatoo, then after that he never goes "majin" again. (except in one of the movies))

Yep. True, true.
But he doesn't get the dragon tattoo till the Dark Tournament..... Right? 1: yeah, my reaction was the same, and the answer is... Japan is just weird like that. (I mean they came up with a myth about a women in labor turning into a shark when her husband tried to check up on her against her will. 0.o;;; ) 2: it just seemed like "Oh my god!" would be something "un-ladylike" (at least for my age. ^^;; ) 3: honto? I was under the impression it was already there in the dark tournament, but then again I've only read the Ameri-version, so it may have been something made a bit more clear in the Japanese version. sweatdrop

It's like a chant one says when confronted by a ghost, begging 'god' to save you. Kuwabarakuwabara. You say it twice wink Also, Yuusuke's last name, Urameshi, is something ghosts say. Kinda like "Boooooo" here. 3) Hiei got his tattoo during the Ankokubujutsukai (dark tournament) when he finally mastered the Ensatsu Kokuryuuha smile 3b) Ankokubujutsukai literally means Darkness Martial Arts Meeting :3

If you think about it, it has less letters then Darkness Martial Arts Meeting wink

6thDivine I read this in a interview in a Shonen Jump with Yoshihiro Togashi. He wasn't planning on making Hiei a main character. He was just going to use him for the Artifacts of darkness, then that would have been all. But he got such positive feed back from the reader about how much they liked Hiei, that he kept him. ^_^; Think of what it would be like without Hiei-kun. oh, yea, i heard about that, that in the artifacts of darkness, they likes hiei so much that they kept him through thewhole show. yay.

But he doesn't get the dragon tattoo till the Dark Tournament..... Right?(My opinion) i heard he doesn't get the dragon tattoo, until he mastered his dragon technique, somewhere around the dark tournement time.
