Tuomas laughed at her scoffing and nuzzled her nose with his. "I'm glad you did. I couldn't imagine what I'd do without you." He stroked her hair back and twirled the ends around her fingers.

Aphrodite purred lightly and a small smile was on her face. "Well you don't have to worry about that. I'm not about to go anywhere." Her eyes were focused into his, but a glazed over look could show Tuomas that there were memories behind her hues.

Tuomas smiled to her and sighed in a relieved manner. He looked up into her eyes, seeing that something was deeply troubling her. "Tell me.....what happened?" He spoke gently to her, worried and curious.

Her eyes closed. Her voice took on a very unusual calm and maturity. "I ran into someone from my past. I only survived tonight because I didn't fight it like I had done in the past and it bored her."

Tupmas looked at her seriously. He sighed a little and held her close to him. "I'm glad you weren't too badly harmed.....but it could have been worse, regardless of whether you fought back or not."

Aphrodite just allowed herself to be held. She muttered lightly. "She already tried to kill me before.. I guess you could say this is my eighth life. So nothing she could do now would ever scare me." She nuzzled Tuomas, purring lightly, and she playfully licked the very tip of his nose.

Tuomas, hearing that, only felt his anger and hatred towards this yet unknown enemy rising. He sighed heavily at her words, but smiled when she purred and licked his nose. He leaned close and lightly nipped the edge of her ear before whispering softly to her. "Perhaps you're not scared....but I am. I don't want to lose you....and I won't let her take you away from me." His last words had a bit of a protective growl lacing them.

He caused a shiver down her body from the n** and she smiled to him. But her smile slowly faded as she took on a serious look on her face. "Tuomas, please never risk your life for mine. I have at leas tseven more lives before I have to worry about it. And just as you don't want to lose me," She clung to him tightly, resting her cheek against his. "I can't lose you. You're the only one who cares about me. Without you.. no one would ever love me in return." He could feel hot tears pouring from the edges of her eyes.

Tuomas took in the seriousness of her voice and face. He took her words to heart as she clung to him, his arms around her securely but gently so he didn't hurt her. Feeling the tears running from her face to his shoulder. He nuzzled under her ear as he held her close. "I will always love you....for you have my heart. I would transcend time and death to love you for any lifetime."

Aphrodite could not help but to cry, not out of sadness but out of joy. "I've waited all my life to be loved in return. Ever since I had shown up here, people yelled at me, people pushed me away, and I always got into fights because no one wanted me. I'm so lucky to have you in my life." She kissed his lips, trying to reassure herself that he was real and that he was still with her and by her side.

He smiled and kissed her back softly, one hand cradling the back of her head so as to keep her close. He loved her so dearly. He could not imagine the rest of this lifetime without her. He brushed her hair in his fingers gently, keeping her close to him so that he could feel her heart beating. It was a wonderful sound and feeling.

From deep within her chest, Aphrodite could feel his heartbeat. It was such a warmth and it surrounded her soul, blocking out her fears. Her body immediately resounded with a purr. How she adored him. Her arms slid around his neck, and her hands came to rest, crisscrossed, on his upper back. She massaged his muscles in a rhythmic manner.

Tuomas smiled when he heard her purr. It was a good sign for him. She would be alright. He nuzzled into her neck when her arms slid around his neck and when she massaged, he made a low rumbling noise in his chest. He smiled a bit and traced over her spine with his fingers lightly.

Aphrodite smiled to Tuomas, uncrisscrossing her wrists, and her hands went to work on massaging his shoulderblades. A shudder ran throughout her body at his touch. She kissed his nose playfully. Her purr had grown louder. She then whispered in his ear. "Would you promise me that you won't hate Christmas?"

Tuomas smiled and murred lightly, looking down into her eyes curiously. What a strange question. "Of course. But why, if I may ask?" He held his hands upon the small of her back, watching her closely in curiosity.
