Silently, the muted Feli mourned momentarily for Cerridwen's loss. Yet the bit of hope that remained shined through. Breaca's genuine kindness seemed to be the one thing that saved her friend's soul, or at least that was what Requiem thought. As her friend continued explaining about her recovery, a faint smile came upon her pale maw. This faint smile grew a bit in wonder as the pastel Feli further explained how much she truly did help in the war. Truly amazing... was all she manage to think, her ears begging for more to be told.
And more was told. Bonds were broken, faith was restored, and troups were abandoning the island. It all seemed as if it was some sort of fairy tale...

After that, things sort of returned to "normal", whatever that was now.
My life after the Romans was, well, peaceful. I was getting on in years by this point, as the whole thing had taken about 2 decades from start to finish. But I managed to remain grounded as long as Breaca was by my side. But I never really completely recovered from the loss of One Wing. Life never quite had the same magical luster after that.
When I was well into the winter of my life, the moment I had been dreading arrived. Breaca and I were out hunting, when she had what I can only assume now was a heart attack. I stayed by her side as her life slipped from her, and while I watched her soul journey to the greater good, mine too began to slip away.
Without her, my will to go on was just gone. My job had been done years before, and as a reward, the gods had granted me many years of happiness with my human tribe. But never did I meet another feli in that life, and it was almost as though I was now free to be reborn into the world of felis without humans.
I was reborn soon after, in a small cave, to an aqua feli and a basic. I had the pleasure of knowing a feli family for the first time, really knowing them, and spending all my days with felis alone. But, that's a story for another day I think.

All things must come to an end, even life and a story. Sensing the end of this story her friend had shared had come, she opened her eyes. The glassy blue orbs gazed upon Cerridwen, seeing perhaps a whole new Feli, one who had gone through many trials of personal endurance. Sitting her body up after a long time of relaxation, Requiem offered the pastel seraphim a smile.

Cerridwen, no longer lost in her story, sees her friends smile at once. "Well! That was a bit longer than I intended it to be" she said, blushing a bit, hoping not to have inconvenienced Requiem. "Hey, are you hungry? Let's get something to eat" she said, and bounced to her feet, stretching slowly before trotting back to the nearby path they had made when they arrived. As soon as Req catches up, Cerridwen plans to speed off for home, and refreshments!

The pale seraphim rose to her feet and nodded. She had not thought of food, nor needed to during the story, but now that she thought about it, her stomach tightened slightly in a request for appeasement. Her hind legs were a tad stiff, and Requiem stretched them slightly before trotting off behind Cerridwen. Never truly being a fan of running as fast as she can, Requiem continues to trot at a steady pace, following behind her pastel companion, but not really catching up.
