Rahu chuckled. " no i have never met them. now lets pick these up and i wil follow you home to make sure you get there fine." picking up a few shells carefully, he then looked at Kimi to see her responce.

Kimi nodded and bent her head down to pick up a few shells and put them in mouth. She then trotted off.
"This way," she said, trying not to open her mouth too far so the shells would fall out.

Rahu gave a nod and followed Kimi. keeping a hold of the shells he had as they walked, he made sure to not break any. as they walked, he hoped to not run into anyone but he figured he would have to deal with running into Kimi's mother as Kimi had said she was over protective.

Kimi made it to the base of the mountain when she heard the most annoying voice that she imagined. The voice itself wasn't annoying, but to her, it was. Randee, Kimi's mother, shouted for Kimi.
"Kimi!" shouted Randee, rushing towards Kimi and a dark stallion. "Who is this? Kimi, what did I tell you about talking with strangers? Stallions can be very dangerous sweetie. Don't you ever talk to strangers again, do you hear me?"
Kimi rolled her eyes.
"Everyone is a stranger until you meet them," said Kimi. "Mom, this is Rahu. Rahu, this is Randee, my annoying mother."
Randee glanced at Kimi, disappointed that she would introduce her that way. Randee then turned to Rahu and smiled politely.
"Hello, Rahu," said Randee with a sweet smile. A few strands of hair fell before Randee's face, covering her eye.

Rahu set the shells down. " hi and dont worry nothing bad happened while Kimi and i whre exploring a bit for some entertanment. plus it better that i foud her than her running alone no?" looking at Randee then Kimi, he could see how the two looked alike in a way.

Randee smiled at Rahu.
"Thank you, Rahu," said Randee, bowing her head down. She looked at Kimi, who seemed to be annoyed at her. She then thought of something that may make her daughter a little more happy.
"You can come visit us anytime Rahu, I'm sure Kimi would love to see you," said Randee, smiling again.
Kimi's face lit up as Randee offered Rahu to come over when he pleases. Is this the first sign of actual freedom from Randee's control?
Kimi smiled at Rahu excited.

Rahu gave a nod. " no problem, and i will be sure to take that offer. but for now i better be off." he gave a wink to Kimi. " be sure to be good Kimi and i will be sure to visit." giving another nodded to them both, he went on his way. and since he said he would visit, he figured it would not hurt to visit Kimi from time to time.

Kimi winked back at Rahu and smiled at the stallion, her first real friend.
"Good bye Rahu and good night," said Kimi. Kimi then turned and towards her teepee.
Randee sighed happily. Kimi had made a friend on her first day out on her own. Perhaps Randee can loosen up on Kimi. Randee followed her adventurous daughter back to the teepee, settling down for the night.
