Tristan finished setting the firework up, with a longer fuse this time, and dashed back. "Get ready for another one!" he shoted, then noticing that Harold had run off he added "Where'd he run off to? Think we should go after him?" Tristan wasnt heartless afterall, he just had no clue what to do in situations like that when he had never even met the person before.

“Nah, when you give someone news like that it’s best you leave them alone.” He was silent for a few moments before he looked over to Tristan, noticing the fuse in his hand.
“Wait, wait, wait!, if your going to do that again at least let me brace myself”

A couple seconds after Nick's comment the rocket goes off, supprisingly with a more usual firework wail instead of the tremendous explosion that the previous one did. Once up in the air it flares with a crackling sound, leaving behind a huge org of glitter in the sky. "Now that wasnt that bad, was it?" Tristan asked nick as he put the short fuse away in his bag.

“I g-guess s-so” he said shakily, removing his fingers from his ears, (As he did so yet more sand fell out of them). Though he did make a cliché “oooo” noise as he saw the glitter than filled the horizon.
“Guess you should save some for when other people show up” he half yawned as he lay back down in the sand, and looked up enjoying the sight of the now appearing stars.

"I suppose so, though it really is unfortunate that there's been such a poor tunrout....you would almost think that someone else was holding a bigger party somewhere else on the island right now that neither of us was told about" he suggested jokingly. Laying back and looking at the stars, Tristan's face was eriely lit up by the two glowsticks tied to his vest "I really would've liked to tell some stories, I dont want to get rusty, eh?"

“Yeah” he replied slowly “swapping stories isn’t as fun with just two people” He raises his arms in front of his chest as dusted himself off. “But I’m terrible at telling stories, but great at making them up? Weird huh?”

"Heh...that is weird! still, I know something weirder..." Tristan started telling a bizzare mindbending tale of ever more improbable events, making it all up as he went "....And thats why platapi trump the queen of spades anyday!" he finished with a flourish

He wanted to say something, but he was not occupied laughing, Tristan’s story had put him in one of his best mood since he’d ever came to the island. He’d had loved to have someone arrive at this very moment to hear the last line of the story.
He sat up, and looked around towards the jungle and the trail that lead back to the village, no one in sight. “I think I’ll just head back” sighed loudly, disappointed how his attempt to make more friends on the island had failed “mind helping me carry this stuff back?” he pointed at the stereo and cooler.

"Sure thing, just give me a minute to fire off one last rocket. Its really too bad this whole thing didnt work out..." Running back after lighting the fuse on the final firework for the night he utters "you might want to plug your ears for this one!" as he gathered up his bag and the stereo. Watching as the firework exploded in the sky with a resounding CRAK! as it exploded into a million flares going every which direction, each leaving its own trail of flames in the sky

He didn’t bother looking at the last firework, he was slowly sinking in depression again. He had license to though, his first truly selfless act and practically no one had noticed. He picked up the cooler and his Saxophone case, and head off towards the path back to the village silently.

A firework woke Malic up in his duplex. The grogginess that surrounded his senses cleared as he came to realise he was suddenly sitting up and now confused as to what woke him in the first place. Bleary eyes blinked away the sleep as he got used to the darkness that surrounded him.
Another louder CRAK! caused the bloke to leap out of bed then almost doubled in pain as jolts shot through his leg. When his body stopped screaming at him, Malic pondered why he was still dressed, then remembered the day before and the real reason he was on this island, not the story he was originally weaved to believe to trap him here.
Grabbing two painkiller pills at his bedside and his walking stick the man left the duplex, mind stirred into a restless motion. No way would he get back to sleep.
The air was cool and refreshing, the sky clear and the faint glow of the last firework faded into the horizon beyond the beach, he saw a figure walking by carrying a case of some sort. Malik gave a friendly nod “Evening.” and swallowing his pills, he limped down to the beach, curious as to know the cause of the bangs, then suddenly stopped as a thought struck him.
"Hey, uh excuse me, do you know what that bang was?" He asked the lad that the darkness almost engulfed from view.

((Well this Rp kinda died out, but may as well carry for fun anyway, I noticed one your characters fears are cats, hehe, this should be interesting))
Nicholas wasn’t in a good mood, and was far too glum for the moment for an idle chat with stranger. He pondered for a moment why this unfamiliar face was unperturbed by his appearance, it had slipped his mind that humans couldn’t see as well in the dark as cats did.
“It…was....er…f-fireworks” he said, just loud enough for Malic to hear him. He quickened his pace in a vain attempt to avoid further conversation.

((Yeah I noticed but thought I'd put him in anyway. Heh, yeah I saw your character afterwards and imagined Malic avoiding him like the plague, like walks into a room, sees Nick, then walks back out again, lol))
"Ah, I guess I missed the party then." He said looking into the clear starry sky waiting for another firework to prove him wrong. It didn't come.
"I'm surprised the doctors allow fireworks, but I guess they need to keep their 'guests' happy." He added bitterly as Nick quickened his pace. "Maybe with some luck..." But he left that sentence become swollowed into the night. His luck hadn't been reliable so far.
Something moving caught Malic's eye. "Hey, uh not to be rude, but uh, what's that?" He wasn't sure if the guy heard him, he didn't seem to be in the mood for stupid questions so didn't expect an answer.

”It wasn’t much of a party…” he thought.
“What’s what?” he spun around, his tone of voice made it clear he was getting irritated. He half dropped the cooler in his paw-like hands and scrambled awkwardly to prevent it falling. He stared at the stranger for a moment, he was quite amazed how clear his vision was through what should have been perpetual darkness, though, he was unsure whether the unfamiliar face could see him as clearly too.
“Well? What is it?”

((I hope I'm right assuming you have a tail))
"Oh," He bit his bottom lip and frowned. "It's probably nothing, fabric loose hanging down on the back of your trousers, just thought I'd mention it in case you fell over it. Can't see a damned thing myself." He waved his hand as if to say it doesn't matter as if the shaking of of his head couldn't be seen in the darkness. "I'm sorry to bother you." He hoped the other islanders were nicer to new people or a little more polite.
