Following Aith'a through the darken tunnels. Her eyes slowly adjusting on their own. Her homeland was mostly dark, even if it was covered in perpetual white.

Celestra looked around. It was a narrow passage but cleaned out nicely. "It sure is deep."

The further the went, the heavier it felt. Celestra looked back. "The air is weakening here."
"It would seem so Master. Shall we head back? I do not want you to faint, I can go on, I do not need air."
"No, I shall go, how you might not be able to protect yourself of what may be in there, or whom."
"I see, but. If it brings danger to you Master, I must aske we abort."
"No, we will go on. It's alright. I am brining in my own air right now."
"How is that Master?" Aith'a looked to the young woman.
"By weaving a thread behind me of pure mana of air. I'm pulling it over myself..call it..a kind of air bubble? In my home town. This was usually done if we get caught in an avalanche. As long as I have a line from the outside open and unobstructive. I'll have my own supply."
"Very unique master. I did not think that was possible."
Celestra chuckled. "One has to be creative in such a harsh time."

Faris reached into the pouch he removed the capsule from. What he presented from the sack was a slablike key and a metal wire. "This sector of the ruins, the sector with the artifacts, used to be gated off. I had to make a mold of the keyhole and duplicate it. The keyhole in this artifact is constructed in the same manner."
Faris mounted the back of the artifact and forcefully stuck in the key. He used the wire to manually hit the physical triggers that the replica could not so that it could would fit. Locksmithing was the tradeskill Faris excelled most in. This was the reason his father most often sent him over his other kin for "confidential" assignments. After all, every goldmine has a vault.
After a few minutes of tampering there was a clicking noise and the key slid into place. Faris climbed off the goliath and awaited in anticipated. At first, there was nothing, but just as Faris was getting impatient, the runes on the artifact luminated simultaneously. It was only for a second or two, but it meant progress. Though, the artifact still appeared lifeless. "I think it needs a verbal trigger before it will do anything..."

By the time Faris had gotten halfway through standing up, Justin was already flipping through the books, placing his free hand on the machine to hold a tube which siphoned mana onto the creature. He tried to translate as quickly as he could, to get it over with, since hewould have to say it all fluidly, or it wouldn't work out right. It was a struggle trying to read and memorize. And all he was trying to think of was how to say "Animate through the ley-lines" and something along the lines of "autonomous movement"- a phrase which had no place in Runism, really.

Aith'a had come to a stop at the edge of the last tunnel. Where a giant goliath stood. Looking at it, and the people trying to wake it. Processing what she's seen, she's come to a conclusion they seemed to want to 'awaken' the goliath. Looking at it again. "A golem. ."
Celestra looked to her. Then noticed to two young men from before. "Golem? Are you sure?"
Aith'a nodded. "A lower modification like the clones. But made for specific tasks only."
"They seem to want to 'awaken' it."
"It would prove difficult. The spell is in a different language forgotten. You remember it do you not. The same one you used to make the Power Stone. It's the same dilect. Condense spells put into songs really."
Celestra nodded. And just watched the men try to 'awaken' the goliath.

Faris thought hard along with Vechos. The term to best define the artifact was as an automaton, or a self-operating device. These terms were too complicated to form into runist chants though. It would have to be something more simple. In order to get the automaton to respond, it must first be animated, or kindeled. Kindeled.....like to kindel a fire.... A fire was an autonamous entity. Perhaps it was related to the word they were seeking. "How would you say 'ignite,' or, 'burn?'" Faris hoped Justin would have a response since he worked with welding equipment.

"It'd be something along the lines of 'twar'," said Vechos casually, before a look of sudden realization came to his face. He smiled the calm sort of professional smile he got sometimes. "Or for propulsion, something more practical, like..."
Justin quickly strung together a few words in Runist tongue, watching the lines begin to pulse with mana. He'd certainly need more than the mana he had with him to keep the thing moving for extended time.

Watching from a distance.
"Well at least they seem to be making some kind of progress." Looking towards Aith'a. "Think they figure out the rest? There's more to fire to make that thing move."
Aitha'a stared out. "They don't have enough mana with them to operate it. Will the master help them out?"
Celestra nodded. "Maybe, they are busy to themselves. They bearly noticed us here. Let's watch for now. I'd like to see if they can do it. If the way to bring life is still possible with them."
Aith'a spoke softly. "It won't be easy, they might cause a distruption and blow this place."
Celestra blinked a couple of times remembering how one had to entwine mana to make it work. "Oh, yes, forgot that. They have only gotten used to using one element at a time haven't they?"

" . Say. Aith'a, shouldn't we be looking for this booster thing?"
"The golem should have one in him, and some extra's. That is why I'm waiting for them to leave. Then we'll go get it."
"And if they don't leave?"
"They should? Humans can't stay in here deep for long, the air will be depleted until they revent the place. They don't seem to have that same air bubble as you have."
"Oh. True. To live in luxery must be grand then to forget such things."
"Master had lived a hard life?"
"Eternal snow and ice. Where the sun never reaches. It is a harsh life for anyone Aith'a. We adapt with what we can. And we learn to survive with little tricks." Watching closely at the two. "He pronoucned it wrong. ."
"I am sorry Master."
"I told you not to apologize. Great Grandmother did what she had to do right? It is not your fault, you are only obeying orders left to you."
"Master is much to kind."
Chuckling. "Then make sure I stay in a good mood and not a bad one, eh?"
Aith'a nodded, "Truely, you are most like my great Master, your great grandmother. Lunalesca."
"Me? Heh, I'm not all that grand. I'm still learning what's she's done in the past few days with your help. If there is anyone grand, it's her. I have to great a name to catch up with."
"I believe master can do it, if she puts her mind to it. . Your right. The tone and dilect is to hard and slow." Watching the young man along with her master.

Mateo appeared behind where the two women were standing. He could see his brother and their newest accomplice busy at work ahead, hardly phased to the three in the passage. Mateo looked similar to Faris, perhaps a bit more youthfull though. He had shorter hair with a wavy style and a grayish tint. His attire was proper, consisting of a velvet button up coat with flaps that hung over his legs and classy gray slacks. One could easily tell that he was of kin with Faris, though Mateo gave off more of a pleasent vibe compared to his brother's apparent coldness.
Mateo spoke in a low whisper as to get the females' attention without disturbing his brother and the Vechos person. "Excuse me ladies, would you mind coming with me?" His tone was welcoming and nonthreatening. "Please be silent so as not to disturb the work at hand." Mateo did not doubt that Faris would have had the two killed if he knew of their existence. Mateo, on the other hand, was the more civilized of his three brothers.

Celestra had turned her head to see who was behind him. The look was the same, yet the air was clearly different.
The doll like woman had followed her masters gaze. Looking to her master for directions.
"Worry not Aith'a. I doubt you can get killed. I can easily leave. We'll get what we need in due time. Lead on." Waving her hand to the man to go ahead and lead. Her very stature taking on the roll of her status. She did not fear what they would do to her. She feared little. If she feared at all, it was the fate of her people. Her own being was somehow left behind.
"Shall I put him down Master?" Following after her. She was a doll after her, she wouldn't feel pain. Her goal was the protection of Yunalesca's last heir.
"No. No killings." She continued to follow the rather tall man. Was everyone on this continent tall?

Mateo led back into the main passage when he turned to the two unusual looking women. He still had his charming grin as he addressed them. "I am Mateo Arpegius. I'm incharge of expedition operations in the mountain, but I would like to ask would to ask what you two would be doing in here. This is not a place you should be currently." Mateo cautioned them with his usual grin but appeared to be annoyed in tone.

Celestra just tilted her head. Nice he may be, yet that tone of voice was the same as the other. Just the feeling they give off. Blood related.
"We are here to retrive the mana booster. This is the most logical place to go. I perfer not to disturb hallowed grounds to get one." Aith'a said in her monotone voice.

Mana Booster?Mateo wondered if she could be talking about the same thing he had in mind. "Please, clarify. You are in no danger, but perhaps I could help you." Mateo, like the rest of his family, was not one to trust easily. Though, perhaps both he and the women could benefit from the information she had to offer.
