i always thought of him as a gay guy, but i read the comic first then saw the episodes. it totally disappointed me that they had a woman doing his voice in the english dub. u'd think that in this day and age, with the mature content already in the show, that they'd still keep him as a effeminate guy. what? we're not exposed to that kind of stuff already? some of my best friends are gay or bi, and that was in high school. all they've done is create confusion for the fans. 3nodding

man, but he's into dudes.Which wasn't very rare in mideavil japan, especially among smaurai and the upper classes, and jakotsu's a ronin, which is just a free lance samurai.

Oh come on, he may squeak alot but he tries to show off and act macho by killing human samurai and small demons in front of Sesshoumaru. He's gotta be male, he sounds male, he acts male. I've seen ugly girl demons but that's still pushing it.

I love the show but I hate almost all the main characters... stare especially inuyasha...I like sango cause she hot and can fight well...but in mount hakurei inuyasha vs bankotsu, bankotsu should have won, he's kicking his a** all over the mountain and all the sudden used backlash so incredibly stupid...bankotsu would have won save for the storyline...and then when it's over inuyasha (who barely won yet should have lost has the nerve to say he was to greedy and acting like he's all mighty what a croc of bullshit...)

i was wondering myself but i kept watching the show and everyone refers to jakotsu as a male. one ep he was hitting on inuyasha and inuyasha was like what his problem.
