BYOB in general. sweatdrop Serj's voice, the beat, the lyrics, EVERYTHING. Immediately after I heard that for the first time, I downloaded it, and went out and bought Mezmerize like a week later. LOVED it, listened to it 24/7. No joke. Begged my friend with all them to burn his whole music library for me, just cuz I knew he would have SoaD. No, I couldn't just ask him if he had SoaD, and if he could burn them all. xd Then the Mezmerize phase hit with the rest of the CDs, and that's how it all began.

The music speaks on numerous planes. Heart-felt at times, angry and powerful others. Sheer INSANITY!! cool cool cool but also shockingly wise. Wonderful synergy between the group members and brilliant writing. I guess in one term why I listen to SOAD is they have everything! No element is lacking from the music biggrin

They are just so different in a good way. Their music has a certain addictiveness around it.
I like their sense of humour they bring to it as well. n.n

wat got me started on system was actually a friend of mine. i never listened to music alot before i listened to system. just bands like Linkin Park, Green Day and the Chili Peppers(all of which are still some of my favorite bands) but then before Mezmerize came out, he showed me BYOB and i was amazed, i got there Mezmerize album and said im gonna get that Hypnotize album when it comes out. They still arnt my favorite band at that point. then i got Toxicity, and thats when they blew my mind. ATWA is like the best song in the world i think. well theres my musics life story lol
