Hmm. Okay, so far the 17th, 18th, and 19th of june is leading. Problem being, that if its going to be for that, i'm going to need people to help me track down artistis and such that will do the costumes for people. The lovely Sayuri has already volunteered to help, but i don't think we want her to commit suicide for piling all the fa'e that need costumes on her. *wink* Or have her coming after me to kill me for that. >> So please, any artists out there, pm me, or post here?

kalindara Seriously? Wicked cool! Which part/s of Aus are you visiting? If it's too close to the 22nd, I won't be able to make it, as that's my birthday and no doubt there will be family things involved that will keep me from being able to spend a weekend on the Net. Well, I know I'm going to Sydney in Australia. And then Auckland in New Zealand. But other than that I'm nto really sure. We do get to go snorkling in the Great Barrier Reef, though. I'm really excited about that. <3

I'm really excited about that. <3 Awesome! I went snorkelling on the GBF a few years back, it was really cool. Hope you enjoy the trip. Like I said, June-July is not the best time for me because of my birthday (which is mid-week, so either weekend around it may become 'family time') and then my sister's birthday a week after that (same problem). And if half the people I like to RP with aren't even going then I prolly won't bother setting aside a weekend and convincing my roommates to let me monopolise the phone line. *shrugs* Not that Roth would overly be looking forward to something like another prom anyway. Maybe Dil and Roth can have run off to create some mischief or something instead...

Just my own $0.02 on the issue...
I chose the first weekend in July for my vote because I just will NOT be able to do anything on the other dates. The 17-19 of June, I'll be cleaning house and getting ready for my trip. I'm spending a week in Toronto, which will cover the weekend of the 24th and I will have sporadic access. The weekend of July 10th is Anthrocon, and I'll be in Philadelphia for at least part of it.
However, I'm planning on kindapping Karma back to my house that Friday, for the radio show we do on Friday nights. biggrin
So basically... if it doesn't happen the first weekend in July, I'll have to make excuses for Omi and I not to attend. sad

What about the very last weekend in July? I know that's late for a prom, but the basic theme is outdoors-ish anyway.
ALso, will be willing to help with things as I'm able art-wise. 3nodding

Maybe you need your poll to be what dates people _can't_ go. Because that'll rule out weekends that are bad, rather than people just saying which one of several that could suit they would prefer ^_^ The poll is a good idea, but it doesn't let you know if the people voting for the early one are voting because they can't make any other dates or if they could make them all and that's simply their choice.

Another idea i've been kicking around is instead of having one massive prom, having 2 smaller balls, at different date's so that hopefully everyone that wants to come could at least make one of them, though, of course, people would be welcome to come to both.
