Actually they don't take the bible literally if they don't accept homosexuals.
Is being homosexual anywhere in the 10 commandments? No.
It's finding a church that isn't narrow minded, not the religion. 3nodding Actually.. there are more specific rules than that, it's just that if you love God, and you love people (which Christ Himself says are the two greatest commandments), then everything else works itself out.
Wishbone Redemption
The Episcopalian Church (Christian.) They're ordaining homosexual and female bishops left and right, despite the opposition from the Anglican Church.
When Christianity is practiced correctly, it accepts homosexuality. Not just homosexuals, but the actual concept of a homosexual lifestyle.
Again, love God and love people and everything works itself out.
Test Two
Well, I'm Catholic, and the church's view on gays is (at least according to our priest) that anyone who isn't married by the church should not be having sex, that means ANYONE. Unfortunately there is no gay marriage in the Catholic community, so technically you'd have to take a life vow of chastity to be a good Catholic.
This is a highly accepted view from Catholicism. Pretty simple, really. If you're not married, don't have sex. Their acceptance also stems from their belief that all sex should be meant for procreation, not (just) pleasure. Meaning they don't agree with condoms and birth control.
Karnell
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Yes, Mormons. I've done extensive studies in religion (and I'm going to eventually go back and get a B.A. in Religious Studies--but not until I've gotten my Ph.D. work completed), and believe it or not, the Mormon religious actually makes the most sense out of any religion I've studied, both in belief structure and in practice. There are, obviously, a lot of misconceptions about the religion, and if you speak to a member of the congregation (if you go to the church and see a young-looking person, usually in a white button-down shirt while working, or just the priests), they'll be more than glad to talk to you about the religion. They're actually very relaxed in practice, and focus on just leading a good life. There are many branches of the church that have sprouted, sadly, that twist its teachings into something bad, and there's even a large sect of it that is anti-homosexuality. The TRUE Mormon church discourages the activity, but it does not condemn it.
. . . Ironically, after all of that, I'm not Mormon. I'm agnostic.
Holy freaking crap that's awesome.

Ya, I found the part in The Bible where it talks about sex, and it says no sex with the same-sex, but it only mentions it once. The Bible says more against straight-sex then it ever does about same-sex sex. ((Haha, that sounds funny. Same-sex sex. Lol, I'm such a nerd.))
I found a verse recently that says something along the lines of "If you forbid marriage between two people.." something bad.. basically saying that any two people who love each other should marry. Period. End of story. Pretty nifty. Oh, and all of the condemnations (that I remember finding) are either in the Old Testament or quoting the Old Testament. Under the New Covenant which is given to us by Christ's sacrifice on the cross, those rules don't apply. Only love God and love people. Everything else falls into place.
And I know I've used that several times "Love God, Love People." It's one of my church's mottoes... after "Why Not now? Acts 2:24-27." Yay open minded people.
