*Upon closer inspection this pained creature seemed to have no biomechanical augmentations at all, almost as if it were...perfect. It is in fact an entity that can truly be called ageless. It has lasted millenia in these forests, and even now feels all the pain it has ever gone through. As for the wall of water it seems to be liquid, but its rushing upwards at such high velocities that when Kalie reaches out to touch it she is thrown back by the pained elemental as he glares at her. When he speaks he sounds as if he was being pierced by droves of needles and burned to death.*
"Touch it not. Arm detatched if you do. Ride it, up and back down."

*Sitting up from the ground the actions prior to her landing there, flashed by Kalie's memory; the dusting of cool rushing water, before the outer strength had flung her back against the forest's edge like a rag doll. Gingerly lifting her head, a hand pressed to her temple.. her mentality physically wincing as she listened to the 'elder' give his instructions.*
*Heaving herself up from the ground, Kalie again approached the forbidding wall.. her fingers stopping within a breath of the waters glimmering surface, her eye lashes fluttering closed with the gentle sigh that escaped her before her form shimmered and resembled the liquid comprised wall. The pull of the water sweeping the elemental along with it.. a bluish glimmer from the light reflecting on the water the only difference between the rough current and where 'Kalie' was traveling..*

*As she traveled back down on the reverse side she was spit out from the wall of water just before it went under ground level, throing her across the raging waters like a stone skipping across the water, even in her liquid form. It seemed that the waters were guiding her to the island. As soon as she landed everythign went earily calm. The only thing that would be heard for miles would be the faint sounds of the biomechanical implants in the nearby animals, the faint pained weeze of the fleshy elemental, and several mechanical beeping sounds coming from Vis's mask.*

*Skipping across the water, the shape changed as it neared the island, flattening and rounding, then doming up as it became a slightly squished sphere, the flattened sides of the geometric shape sending sharp reflections of light into the sky at various angles. Reaching the water's edge, it tumbled across the isle, rounding the sides out, as the 'watery sphere' rolled to stop upon nudging and bouncing off Vis. The unplanned contact with another object sending a variety of over lapping ripples across the blue hued surface..Kalie's mind feeling a similar effect as it tried to straighten itself out.*

*Vis makes no motion beyond the reaction of the force from her nudging him further than a string of quickened beeps from his mask. The pained elemental nods slightly before turning and heading back towards the forest. One must only wonder why he is so perfect, yet so pained. Why out of everything in this section of the forest he has no biomechanical implants. The eary calm only grows as the animals begin to disperse.*

*With the surface of the globe becoming tranquil once more, it rocked back, simultaneously falling from the shape, Kalie taking form shortly after...with a miscalculation of space needed to change back, her leg having landed partially over the body.*
*Swiftly moving the misplaced appendage back, she tucked it under the other, and leaned down, tracing around the blinking lights of the mask with her hand.*
"hello..?"

((damn Gaia ate my post))
*Man makes no reaction, but mask does, going all lit up. small voice from inside of back of mask.*
"Hey! back here PFFT get all this hair outta my way."

*Blinking, she literally sat there dumbstruck for a little while.. her fingers flexing a bit unwarily. *
*Taking hold of Vis' shoulders, she hurled all her strength and body weight at him, he was after all 'dead weight', eventually getting him flipped over after some struggling.*
*Moving closer, Kalie leaned over again, while sweeping the mess of hair clear from the mask the best she could.*
"better?"

*As she moves away the ahir she could see an indentation in the mask with a slash across the back. Inside small mechanical arms and a wave of what seemed to be liquid metal were repairing the rear of the mask. With a rush of liquid metal a face formed on the back of the mask. It appeared alien, almost like an insect, a praying mantis to be more precise. As it spoke it seemed to have a metallic screeching quality to it.*
"You have to help me, this guy is kinda like dying and I have no knowledge of his physiology. If he dies the last of two species goes with him. From what I've been able to gather he's what elders and scrolls call an Ancient. As for me I used to be the last surviving member of a dying race on another plane of existance. You HAVE to help us."

*Having never adhered to that philosophy of 'look don't touch', Kalie did everything possible to restrain herself from prodding at the little moving parts inside the break of the mask. Her self-control slipping just as the 'liquid' swept over it, creating a face of sorts..capturing her attention enough that she refrained from poking at it.*
*Nodding, a few things were remotely familiar to her..but as far as 'fixing' or helping the two was concerned, she looked a bit lost..*
"Does he have any injuries or anything? I'm not sure I'm the best to be doing this.."

"Hey, I don't keep track of his body, I just live in his mask...against my will at that."
~~~
*Back in the grove that had been cleared away Torment awoke fully. He had half awoke and noticed that Kalie was gone, whereby he shot up, fully awake. At first panic came over him because the forest wasn't exactly the safest place, but calmed for a moment when he realized the screen wasn't mussed up. He slowly stood and glanced around.*
"Kalie! Where'd ya go?"
*At that point, she was to far from the clearing to hear Torment.. along with the almost death glare worthy look she was giving the little creature that lived inside the mask..*
"that's helpful.."
"Don't complain then, if I have to flip him back over to figure out what happened...and you get a.. face full of dirt.."
*Sighing, she diverted her attention from the voice, and gazed over the man for any signs of injury or harm he had experienced..her eyes not only searching Vis' general appearance but also the clothing down to the detail, looking for bullet holes or rips in the fabric..*
*The face shifts in and around the hair and replaces the masks's face.*
"Feh, They'd just eat it and replicate...hey, you know where the hell we are? I can't seem to pinpoint any planar nexus points that I'm familar with."
*As for Vis, his clothes seem undamaged expect that they are bleached, everywhere, every last stitch.*
~~~
*Torment calls out once more, but decides that she either can't hear him because she's too far away or that, getting a stabbing pain at the thought, she can't hear him, at all. He walks over to the vines and sets through, moving to The Tree and placing his hand upon a clear portion. His hair ruffles a bit as if by an unseen wind as he casts a Speak with Nature spell. He inquires as to the whereabouts of the one he was with, waiting for a reply from the elder tree.*

"Where?"
*Looking around she caught sight of the sun, frowning she looked away, Tor would have a better answer to that question.. was he even awake yet? Trying not to dwell on it, she just hoped he hadn't been hurt by waking to find her gone..*
"The forest near the Razor fields would be the best answer I could give you..."
*Not bothering to wait for a reply she rolled the body back over and pressed her ear to the colorless clothing covering his chest, listening for a heartbeat, and trying to feel if his chest was rising and falling from breathing.. she assumed Ancients breathed like most living things.*

*The face shifted so it was pointed upwards at all times. As for Vis his breathing was extremely shallow, nearly unnoticeable. His heartbeat sounded more like a metronome than anything else. Thrax spoke up once more.*
"Razor Fields huh? Don't think I've ever heard of the place. I remember forests, big ones too. Nothing like this though. The forests I remember were filled with things that seemed to be born of trees. Tall trees that were older than life itself, not filled with mechanical abominations. Those we left for the.....the monsters...built of flesh and metal and oil..."
~~~
*As Tor tried to communicate with the tree the pained elemental approached him.*
AE: You wished to speak with the forests, I shall speak for it.
Tor: I should have expected as much. Have you seen an elemental, a female that takes human shape, *describes her in detail (cause I haven't the time ^_^)*? She's with me.
AE: I have indeed. By the Ancient of Gears. Cross the waters she has.
Tor: Thanks for your help.
*He passes him, patting him on the back, which produces a small yelp from the creature and a wince from Tor at forgetting.*
Tor: Crap, sorry!
AE: Just go. The Geared One needs your help as much as she will soon.
*Torment didn't ask further questions but took to the air as two pairs of great purple wings grew from his back, bright blue veins running across the surface.*
