5, 14
Total: 19 (2-40)

((First dice Rook lvl. 10, second Hein lvl. 16))
With the barriers long stressed by the bullets and the dark matter concentrated in the shades back rather than the head...
The energy burst through the rooks head splattering dark matter against the wall. The rook was down, but it's body smacking against the dam formed one last solid hit.
9/12

Aiolos needs to respond to being shot at, because unlike the others here, he is not protected by Sey's magical barriers.
He should worry about his life before talking about his music.
The miners continued to shoot at the one vulnerable one.
Those around Sunstrike would countinue to attempt and surround, then stab at.
The ones who had gone for Sey would try and shove her over the edge.
This is simply a restatement of intent from before.

Shouyin reached the base of the dam, coming onto quite a scene. Giant... thing in front of the dam, pounding away at it, some girl dressed in white who really didn't fit with the scene, and a evil demon-looking thing flying about in the sky, miners' bullets a'flying anywhere.
Frowning, the half-golem shouldered his assault rifle, looking to the man with the flute, who, however unlikely it seemed, looked to be controlling a small twister. He couldn't be sure of the distance, so he switched the select-fire to single shot, and let loose with two rounds aimed at the small of the man's back.

Even as the Rook began to fall, Hein didn't let up on his assault. He let loose 2 more arrows, each following the beast's descent. One at each arm, hurtling like vicious hawks towards their target limbs. If he managed to defeat it completely, then it might be the victory that they'd need to change the tide of the battle.
Pulling back once more, Hein sight down a third shaft, aiming at the beast's chest, aiming to take it out for good.
"Lady Luck...don't fail me now..."
Firing off the third shaft, Hein watched patiently through gray eyes as it flew true and strong.

((Oh, sorry. sweatdrop ))
Edit:
Aiolos stopped playing and ran back into the forest, the twister was dying down, but it still held the dust inside it. He went behind the tree and played his flute again, a calling tune, this time, the winds from the twister transfered to the air behind Aiolos, they unraveled and blew in a sideways fashion against the edge of the woods, pushing any bullets out of the way.

Taking out the creatures head had doomed it, but the extra arrows made sure it happend very very fast.
Soon the rook was nothing more than a smudge of darkness against the dam. Looks like the shades would have to wait for another one to arrive. Its a good thing they had invested in a second outpost closer to the dam.

Flare continued to attempt to dodge, with mixed results. A bullet clipped her ear, taking the pointed tip of it right off. Another inconveniently embedded itself into her left forearm...her rapier wasn't going to be of much use until that got fixed.
And finally, it came. Under all that fire, Flare couldn't avoid getting a small hole in one of her wings.
She began losing altitude slowly, which made it harder and harder to dodge effectively.
((Will roll for death on my next post if this keeps up.))

Sunstrike moved to Sey, only to have a pitchfork cause him to fall backwards lest he end up with holes. His feet connected and wrenched the fork forwards into another oh so happy to maim comrade.
Twisting it, he managed to slice another and force the group to step back, lest they also be wounded and/or killed.
Then the Rook went down.
"God's..." The pitchfork ended up in someones gut while the staff whipped over to clonk anothers head. "Be..." He kicked a stone into the groin of a shovel weilder who ended up beating himself in the head as he didn't think to let go.
"DAMNED...ed....ed." The curse echoed through the lower dam area.

themightyjello The ones who had gone for Sey would try and shove her over the edge. Sey watched as the Rook became a giant... pincushion. A determined expression settled over her face, but she ahd other things to worry about: the oncoming miners. Her barriers would hold, of that she was sure, but... If that's how it's going to be, then very well. Clasping her hands fervently, Sey prayed, then threw her hands up and downwards. In response to her words and gesture, two dozen spears of Falis' might rained down from the sky at frightening speed at the charging miners. Quote: Starry Night - 2 dozen (24) spears of holy energy form above the caster and fling towards a/multiple targets, causing massive holy damage. The spears are 6 feet in length and are 2 inches in diameter.

"...phew...it's done. What's the next target?"
Surveying the battleground, Hein watched in quiet intensity. All the mannerisms from before, the flirtatious attitude, the idiotic personality, and all the other idiosyncrasies, seemed to melt away. And then his eyes fell on Flare. She was falling. And he faltered.
Even though he had an arrow perfect for piercing through her, and more importantly, he had a clean shot, Hein faltered for a moment. She was a woman, no different than he, and he was about to kill her in cold blood. But this was a war. She was an enemy...wasn't she?
"...damn!"
Aiming just a bit above, Hein let loose a shaft, the arrow piercing through the wind like a hot knife through butter as it flew straight at her wounded wing.

The water mage, in the meanwhile, had a plan. It was a good plan. It was...
Hide behind Aiolos and pray to god he survived.

Damning to hell the truck Quin jammed the gas down and drove straight into the melee. It would take a while and anyone that noticed would be able to get out of the way but once in the middle of what was a battle, even if they backed up to get away from the truck, Quin would both press down on the break and throw the stearing wheel. Putting the truck into a wild spin.
Quin's only grace had been buckling up before this wild surge.

It was the only thing she could do really. She kept firing, and thanking the god that reinforcments had arrived. At least she hoped it was reinforcements. She kept behind her rock. She didn't have much before she would have to reload, but she still have several shots left.

The ones that had surrouned Sunstrike drew back, but closed in immediately again. They knew that their only chance was to get ahold of him and keep him from moving, which meant swarming like ants.
When Sunstrike went to stab one with the pitchfork, two jumped onto his back, and another came from the side trying to drive a shiv into his right thigh.
They had no idea what the girl was doing, they simply knew that they needed to put a stop to it. When the spears came down they were already throwing themselves at her. A few fell at her feet, though two of them managed to knock her with their tackles, sending the three of them sprawling in the dirt near the edge...
