Shadowdragon087 Dirk Pitt. From the Clive Cussler Novels. And Al They both use a lot of action but can be funny at the same time. I like Al more than Dirk. I wish there was more from Al in the books. And Rudi is awesome too whee

Joscellin from the Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey. That man is concentrated awesome right there, and I'd be supremely pissed off if he died.

Eugenides from The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner. Because he's just that clever.

I probably jumped on a band wagon with this one, but Anakin Skywalker. Shouldn't have died anywhere near that young.

I'm not sure if this counts, but John-117. AKA, the Master Chief. A strong, selfless hero fighting impossible odds for the future of humanity. He's aged and experienced and all that good stuff. What's not to love? A second would be the Arbiter, for his sexy man voice.
As for book book, I'd say... Ender, from Ender's Game. A book my girlfriend got me hooked on and I loved it.

Anita Blake from the Anita Blake series. ^.^ I can't help it. Everything about her makes me so happy. heart
EDIT: So directly after I posted, I thought to myself, "This seems so familiar." so I went and looked. And there I am. On the front page with a different (yet still valid) answer. xd That amuses me.

If I had to choose a #1 favorite character, its Kimmuriel Obladra from the Drizzt Do'Urden saga... Overall though, I like the characters HP Lovecraft creates & utilizes in his stories. Its one of the rare times I like humanity
