moookau WHOAH! I just saw an episode of a show called either "coupled" or "coupling" or something like that, and this one guy was describing what a sofa was for. "and, it is (ducks under) ample protection from, (comes up again) Daleks." or something like that. I rolled around laughing for a good five minutes, then jumped online to tell all of you. whee YES! I REMEMBER THAT!! On the Simpson's the comic book guy buys 200 tacos for 200 dollars, and he says, "Ah, this should be adequate sustenance for the Doctor Who marathon!" as he lifts the wheelbarrow full of tacos. And on the Office, Ricky Gervais put the giant inflatable c**k on his head and said, "ExSPERMinate!". Hey, it made me giggle.

Are you being Served?
Captain Peacock (to Mr. Lucas for being late again): You had better have a good excuse.
Mr. Lucas: Ah well you see my dear old crippled mother overslept and she forgot to wake me up so I missed the bus. So she took me on her Invalid carriage and when I asked her to put her foot down, her good foot that is, she got pulled over for speeding. The police made her take a breathalizer, she'd only had time to cook my breakfast so all she'd had was a quick liquor chocolate. But you see it was still on her breath, and by the time I had bailed her out I was very nearly late.
Captain Peacock: You are late.
Mr. Lucas: Ah, well you see on the way up I ran into Mr. Grace and he congratulated me for getting her on time. And by the time I explained that I was very nearly late... I was.
Captain Peacock: That still doesn't explain why you're still shaving, surely you could have done that at home.
Mr. Lucas: Ah, well I've been shaving all day, you see my mother uses the battery in her deaf aid during the weekend.
Captain Peacock: Get to you counter.
(at the counter with Mr. Humphries)
Mr. Lucas: How did it sound?
Mr. Humphries: It makes Doctor Who's adventures seem quite normal.
(sorry it's so long)

Ookokok, I got a huge surprise with this, see- my sister got a PS2 and a game called 'Dogs Life' for her birthday. Basically the objective is... well... you wander around versing other dogs and doing stuff for people so you get bones, and you can rescue your friend from the pound. Now, scattered throughout the game is the occasional pet parrot, and they always say random things when you bark at them.
But this one parrot, amazingly, incredibly and unexpextedly said:
Intruder! Intruder! EXTERMINATE!! EXTERMINATE!! I almost pissed myself with excitement. Well. Not really. But you know. I was surprised.
And then the dog replies back 'this thing has been watching waaay to many cable repeats."
Stupid dog, you can never watch too much Doctor Who.

Well...sorta.. OMG I can't believe somebody left out this one! My sister was watching "Suite Life of Zach and Cody" on the Disney Channel, and there was this one episode where the janitor (who usually messes things up instead of fixing them) has built this time machine in the basement or something. The funny part is that it's a police box. The kind of thing that looks incredibly like the TARDIS, but the interior is that of a phone booth with a ton of levers and buttons. And it's blue. And the top says 'phone booth' or something..and they go in it to see if it works, and they have to pull this lever down, and they go into an alternate reality where the janitor is actually handsome, etc, and I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but he's wearing a black leather jacket. (The ep was done during the US days of Eccleston). I cracked up when I saw it! mrgreen

donkey.logic In Back to the Future the Doc is called, well... and I SWEAR he says reverse the polarity at some point *trundles off to rewatch the trilogy* Oh gosh, if you want to compare 'Who' with BttF... mrgreen I did that a long time ago, trying to remember some things... 1. He's only ever called 'The Doctor' or 'Doc' (some exceptions to both, I'm sure) 2. Has a companion 3. Has a time machine - stays one way but can change 4. Has a catchphrase - changes depending on current Doctor/"Great Scott!" 5. Both have a dog - K9 and Einstein 6. Both use incredibly long explanations for incredibly easy stuff 7. Both speak very quickly when excited, and then look at you like an idiot when you get confused 8. Both are fathers (in order to be a grandfather you must have children) 9. Both dress up in the period dress of wherever they are 10. Both are incredibly (and understandably) concerned about touching/speaking to future selves 11. Both have had said companion start to unravel their futures by messing with parents' timelines ('Father's Day) .......honestly that's all my over-tired brain can think of now..more to come! Feel free to add on too! ^o^ blaugh

I've seen 2 Robot Chicken Who spoofs so far--one has a Tom Baker figure standing on what has to be first base on a baseball diamond. He doesn't say or do anything for a long moment, then finally says, "You get it?" (Who's on First). The other has a kid doing show & tell with Doctor Who toys & a big kid comes busting in the classroom door & yells "NERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDDD!!!!!!" At the top of his lungs at the kid.
