I.Am That's exactly what I was wondering. confused I've never heard of a woman being able to sue a doctor for giving her an operation she specifically asked for, knowing full well what it did. But that's what the Pro-Choicers who talk about it have said. Pfft. We need to get rid of some of these stupid frivolous lawsuits. At least, if this one exists. I think there should be a law: If you make a stupid lawsuit against someone, like for performing an operation you asked for or "for making you fat" because you ate their food, instant death penalty. That'd stop them short! But seriously, there should be some serious penalty placed on people who make these lawsuits, and lawyers who help them. question I don't watch that show... Only American cable I watch is: Adult Swim, anything Star Trek except Enterprise, sometimes Comedy Central, and LOST.
...I'm freaking addicted to LOST. crying
And I'd watch the Justice League shows, but I just haven't bothered to find out when they come on. sweatdrop

But seriously, there should be some serious penalty placed on people who make these lawsuits, and lawyers who help them. i think they should just be ignored. anything with a redundant title should be halted pretty much immediately. for example- person suing for burns obtained from hot coffee- 450 lb person suing for breaking a porcelain toilet- fast food causing weight gain

So the pro-choicers in the guild shut down and informational thread about adoption?
How pro ******** choice is that?
I feel pissed now. Not very. I gave links to sites that told about it and way to help them until then, also info if anyone wanted to adopt. Even told them places where you can drop of the baby (hospital, fire station) and they ask no question. To at least give more options to people. Yet they didn't seem to care or listen (not like a forced them, just said there is more then one option which is true and to give info for the other options).

MiNdCaNdY ok, but if you can't ever have kids without endangering your own life, couldn't the more responsible thing to do be to.. oh i dunno... disable your girly parts? and i mean disable. 100%. They can do that without ruining your sex life too if that bothers you.

That certainly gives any prospective born children something to feel wanted about. They'll know you would kill for them.
Edit: I might as well elaborate.
You may be able to have children some day yet right now, if you do, it will kill you. You might want kids in the future though, so, you're not going to do anything that would prevent conception permanently, even though it would make sure that you would never need an abortion and no one must die. Because you want kids someday, you're going to risk it, and instead of waiting for that day, you're going to have sex even though you KNOW childbirth is dangerous for you and you would abort any pregnancy that resulted from sex.
There are two solutions that would work. One, having a hysterectomy, would allow you to keep having sex. The other, abstaining from sex, would ensure you would never need an abortion. Instead of taking either of these, you've decided to be selfish because you want your sex and later on you want children, so you're having them both and killing any unscheduled humans that come into being. Excuse me if that sickens me, but it does, because it is all about you. You care about your own wants, not needs, but wants, so much that you are willing to kill your own children in order to have sex now and have children later.

So, basicly, Faeyas, its all about you? Right? You don't want to get a hysterectomy because you might be able to have children int he future. But if you were to get pregnant between here and then, you would most definetly abort. Instead of having a hysterectomy and never having to worry about sacraficing a human life for your own, you would rathe rhave it all your way?
I've sat by and let you have your peace, I did so because oyu claim to have a medical condition that could kill you if you were to birth, but now that I've seen your attitude towards it (basicly nothign at all, an aboriton I mean), I can quite frankl say that sickens me and I'm not sittign by any more, regardless of your condition.

They can do that without ruining your sex life too if that bothers you. Sure I don't what kids now either, which is what adoption is for. There is hysterctomy and if you want kids later, adopt. No killing, kids that need homes get homes and have all the sex you want without worrying about pregnancy, Sounds good. Besides how do you know if your condition will cause harm to you and your baby? My mom was told something like that and were both fine, I was born and my mom had no problems, you don't know what will happen until it does happen.

To be honest, it sounds more like an excuse to me. I mean, i'm sure she has problems, but you know, it's more like she just wants to justify her stance on aborting until she wants to run the risk. I mean, after all, you could keep the baby untill it caused complications, and then abort it and have it be completely legal even if you were in your 8th month. And if it's a problem with your hips, long live the C-section. I don't see a valid excuse here, no offense.
