Perilas was just as shocked as Bree. Those little... punks, brats... gah, there was no word to describe them! He groaned. Great, now he was in trouble for sure. Peri's mind registered Bree leaving and the man managed to look at Alan. He nodded mutely to the man's question, accepting the phone number and staring at it for a moment.
The last phrase made Peri jerk his head up and glare at the retreating back of Alan for a moment before he sighed. Pocketing the number, he headed off towards his classroom. He had probably better reassure the two dragons first before contacting Laial's parent. Especially since the boy was apparently in surgery and his mom would just have longer to worry while sitting in the waiting room.
So... reassure the dragons, call Laial's mom, and then take the two leviathans up to the 9th floor to meet back up with their bonded kids. It was a plan. Though Peri was definately regretting having to do the second one.
Once Perilas entered the classroom, he saw that the two dragons were fairly calm, though a bit confused. Well, maybe he'd just keep them in here until the two boys got out and could come and retreive them... Sighing, he pulled his cell phone and the phone number out of his pockets and slowly pressed the buttons, taking a deep breath before hitting the green call button. This was worse than calling to ask a woman out on a date!
When someone answered, Peri spoke. "Hello, this is Mr. Coleman, the dragon instructor at D-corp. Is this Laial's mother?"

A higher-pitched voice (definetly female) answered the phone. "Ja?" Nexen blinked. No WAY was she Laial's 'mother'. A smirk crept over the child's face. Why not test this guy? "Es tut mir leid, 'Laial' hat eine Mutter nicht. Hast du die Nummer falsch?"
((Translation: "Yes?" "I'm sorry, 'Laial' does not have a mother. Do you have the wrong number?" ))

Peri blinked at the voice, speaking some other language. Gah! He didn't know what she was saying!! "Uh... is Laial's mother there? I need to speak with her... It's important." Hopefully that would get whoever was on the phone to get the woman. Or, if it was the woman, hopefully she'd start speaking in English...

Nexen's grin was bright enough to replace lightbulbs. "Weiderhole," she managed to sound slightly annoyed, "Ich weiss ein 'Laial' nicht." Okay, she couldn't keep this up! "Joking. Laial got in trouble again?" The small Fennec Fox had first read the letter from Orpheus as well.
((Trans: "(I) Repeat, I don't know a 'Laial'."))

Peri frowned as the German continued on, then sighed as the speaker switched to English. "Well, uh - wait, who is this?"

The girl managed to surpress a few giggles. "This ist Nexen. Laial trouble again oder nein? Eine D-Corp namens Jekel oder Simon?"
((Trans: "This is Nexen. Laial in trouble again or not? A D-Corp named Jekel or Simon?"))

Nexen? That hadn't been the name on Laial's folder. But Peri couldn't remember what that name was... Though when he heard Simon's name, the man was snapped back to the conversation. "Yes, it has to do with Simon. May I speak to Laial's mother, please?" This was getting a bit annoying...

"Alright!" she chirped happily. Her fun was over, now was time for Maji to b***h at Laial when he came home. "Ein moment, bitte!" The phone was sat down as Nexen ran off to get Maji.
A short time later, a young woman's voice (English thankgod) came over. "Yes? Did those two fight again?" The voice sounded slightly irritated, but that was only expected if someone was irteruped during studying.
((Trans: "One moment please!"))

Peri sighed as the girl (it seemed to be a younger voice) put the phone down and another voice came one, thankfully speaking English. "Ah, yes, ma'am, they did. And... well, Laial got injured. It seems that Simon... bit off some of Laial's tenticles. They have Laial up in surgery right now trying to reattach them." The last part was said in a rush, as though Peri wanted to get it all out before Maji could interrupt him.

Maji had sighed when he first told her they got into a fight. Wait...injured? Oh, just tentacles... he had plenty of those... "I see. Now let me see if I can make YOU ((see)). Those two previously got into a fight, but the teacher sperated them before either were seriously injured. Is there any reason why you did not?"

Peri reddened a bit as the woman questioned him. "Well, I... uh, I wasn't present at the time. The two had been dismissed and they apparently decided to start up their fight afterwards..."

Maji smirked at his nervousness. He wasn't telling the truth... "Alright. I'd buy that, but.... I doubt they pretended to get along like old friends during class. Or am I mistaken?"

Maji had no trouble beleiving THAT. "Of course he did. He's very good at mouthing off. But my other question is: Why would you leave two preteens together alone together when you know they hete each other?"

"Because Simon seemed to be handling the situation quite well. And because I didn't figure Laial to be stupid enough to continue to provoke Simon to the point of where the boy'd snap. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to clean my classroom up for my next class." BEEP. Peri hit the red end call button and put his phone away. Crumpling the note with the number on it, he tossed it into the trash while he grabbed the mop and bucket and started to clean up the blood off the floor.
