The mysterious, slightly creepy hermit from an action game or RPG who appears after the main character has suffered an embarassing defeat and goes to train in the snowy mountains. After a brief period of weirding the hero out and eating all his food, he reveals himself to be a martial arts master and teaches said main character to become stronger and regain his confidence as a fighter through a strict training regimen.
