Hiei's glare turned to an incredulous look that while holding comprehension, showed that he really thought this whole thing was rather daft. Things were growing increasingly inconvenient and mindless. He did not want to be trapped in this charmed keep. He did not want to be the object of anyone's amusement. He wanted to neutralize her, make things normal, and nap in a tree. Already he knew which tree.
"Why?" he asked almost suddenly. He was quick, unafraid and pissed. Another glance at Kurama.

Her answer was simple. "Because I /can/, little one."
Kasai didn't care if he tried to kill her, since he wouldn't succeed. While they both were /much/ more powerful than her, she had the advantage. Why? This was her home, and she controlled it. And they had more to lose than her.
"Now, tell me if you need anything," the girl said, excusing herself. Long, drawn out conversations were not to her taste. She would prefer to rest in her room, just watching them.

Hiei twitched visibly at being called 'little.' His glare only hardened. He picked up the 'I'm-leaving-now' in her last offer and made a move to dart to her, but thought better of it.
"Kurama, we need to get out, now," he snarled, thoroughly piqued. Though he knew they probably had little chance of escaping.

The fox struggled to now say 'I told you so.' Had this not been what he said a while before? "I agree with you. Can your Jagan lead the way?" Kurama asked, though he did doubt that it could. This woman could probably send it false messages, as well, since she had planned everything out so far.
They both seemed to have been blinded, wanting to find Yukina and Shiori. The fox himself had overlooked his better judgement.
((Am I being... ridiculous, now? Because I think I'm taking this in a lame direction.))

Hiei brought a hand to his forehead, resting his light fingertips on the white cloth that covered the Jagan eye. After a moment of concentration, a dull blue glowed beneath the white. Hiei withdrew his fingers as if something had bit him. Another snarl.
"Not well enough," he said lowly. Wonderful. They were trapped inside an enchanted castle by and enemy that had announced herself as their hostess. And to top it off, they were alone. It wasn't the Tantei, where they could all work together and be okay. No, it was just him and the fox.
He let go of his sword and turned to Kurama in a somewhat subdued manner. "Any plans?" he asked, more to point out how screwed they were.
((No, not at all! I'm actually laughing over here. Them being stuck in there is very fun and will make for interesting things~am I right?))

(('Kay, good. And yes, things should get interesting.))
Well, to be optimistic, at least they hadn't been attacked. Still, this psychic wasn't to be trusted at all. Who was to say that she wasn't done weaving her trap?
He could think of one plan, but the details were very sketchy. The female had mentioned wanting entertainment, yes? It wasn't worth telling the other about, yet, though.
"I'm afraid I told you of the only one I could think of," the fox said, trying to sound pleasant. In reality, he was quite ticked. Being out-smarted by that girl had definitely not made his day.

Hiei seemed to calm down, accepting the fact that there wasn't much they could do. Perhaps they could explore? Better than sitting around, anyway.
"Come on," he drawled, beginning to walk. Entertainment. This was far from what Hiei would call entertainment. Usually Kurama was better at things like this. Hiei would've guessed the fox to have a few other plans by now.

Kurama replied with a mere nod, then did as he had been told. There was no reason to object, since it was better to explore than to be bored.
The comment the demoness made bothered him, also. How were they entertainment? Figure that, and they could get out much sooner. This castle was beautiful, but being stuck anywhere was not an appealing thought.
Eventually, they came to a series of hallways, doors on both sides. Certain ones were left open, revealing what was inside. Some were bedrooms, others obviously used for storage, and others that seemed to have no purpose but decoration. None were empty, and all were fully furnished.

Hiei scrutinized the hallway they were currently in. His eyes darkened with masked curiosity as they moved over the decoration and design of the walls, doors and rooms. Well, at least the female had some taste.
He had no real intention of entering any rooms. But he had an inquiring mind at the moment and stopped in front of an open door to peer lazily at the large bed sitting rather appealingly in the middle of the elegant room. A chuckle escaped him at the thought of sleeping. Don't be ridiculous. Even if treated like guests in this castle, he hardly trusted it enough to actually let himself sleep.
Hiei motioned to the room and glanced at Kurama. He had noticed a small detail that made him want to tease the fox. "Look," he said, letting his gaze fall on the vased roses. "Someone must know you well."

"Really, Hiei? All I am to you is a lover of roses?" he asked, faking a pout. The tone of his voice made it clear that he wasn't serious. Only around the fire apparition would he act this way... teasing, acting like a child, and generally just playing around.
The bed gained his mild interest. It was large, comfortable-looking, and he could sense that it was getting late. But, like Hiei, he refused to sleep here. In a sleeping state, one was vunerable, and Kurama had already taken enough unwise risks for one day. As of yet, his carelessness had gotten them both trapped.

Hiei gave Kurama a sideways glance, smirking. Though he would not admit it, he actually enjoyed this kind of play. Returning his gaze to the hallway, he wondered whether they should stop exploring and retire to the room. There was a window, and Hiei felt drawn to it. He remembered a rainy night when he had made himself comfortable by Kurama's window. He had left before the fox awoke in the morning, of course.
He 'tched' inwardly to himself, shaking out of his thoughts.

The bed kept nagging until he finally decided that lying down for a bit would do no harm. Walking around all night wasn't appealing, and it wasn't like they had to actually sleep. "Hiei, would you like to rest with me?"
If nothing else, the two could ramble about their current situation. Even though that would only succeed in getting them both in an unpleasant mood.
((Sorry to disappear. Issues with my mother.))

In another part of the castle, a woman was playing with her pet. Childlike, but strong, she sat and kept her eyes glued to the mouse on the floor. It did its fifth backflip of the day under her instruction. Suddenly, her eyes snapped up. Her victim scurried off and into a hole.
We have guests... She thought. Maybe they'll play with me... A soft, yet bone chilling smile graced her features. She would have ask Kaisai of course. It /was/ her house.
I wonder what she has planned for them?

"Enjoying yourself?" The woman had been in the room for a while, but had not announced her presence until the small mouse had fled.
Kasai had heard her thoughts quite easily, so she realized that the girl wanted to play. She had taken the liberty of hiding her power, as well. Couldn't have the other two coming to kill her, now could she?
As for her plans, they were a secret. Even her friend might betray her... not intentionally, but that vertically challenged boy might manage to read the girl's thoughts.
The psychic smirked after thinking about the game with the mouse. That was her idea of fun, and playing with demons who could kill her was Kasai's. The younger-looking of the two was also weaker, it seemed.
