"This isn't quite a public place, Laurel, it's the nest." she motioned around the club, the few that were there, in deep whispering conversations of their own.

Aly walked in slowly, looking at the set up of the night club. This would be the perfect place to pick up information.

She noticed two people chatting at a corner table and another person standing near the entrance. There were a few other people at the night club, but these three people lit up in her sight as persons with gifts (powers). One ladies was flickering with a silvery fire, and the other was entirely enveloped with a pale orange fire. The man was glowing with a pale green fire.

She sat at a table and pretended to study the menu, which didn't have very many items on it. From under her lashes, she watched the people with gifts, curious to see how other gifted people were getting along in this city. Are they going to be bold about their powers? Or are they hiding it from the public eye? Probably hiding, she smiled inwardly. She was also curious to find out a little more about "the underground" mentioned in the note, and to gather some information about her new job at the Public Safety HQ.

Aly looked up at the scruffy man who was attempting grace and poise, mentally giggling to herself. She gave him a charming grin and said in a playful voice, "I'm not really sure which drink to get... what would you suggest?" She noted that he did not shimmer at all in her sight, indicating he was non-gifted. But he looked the sort that willingly let information slip.

Her grin widened as she watched him. Like taking candy from a baby. Then she put on a semi-serious face making her eyes big as she looked up at him. "I'm afraid I don't do so well with alcohol. They give me terrible headaches. You're going to laugh at me for asking for a virgin drink, but is there any from that list that you could reccomend?" She looked at him earnestly.

She clasped her hands together and smiled thankfully at him. "A Pina Colada sounds wonderful!" She cocked her head to the side, "You've been soooo helpful. And You also seem like such a knowledgable guy. I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. Mine is Aly." She smiled innocently at him.

Aly watched him leave and as soon as he was gone, she burst into a fit of contained silent giggles, her shoulders shaking just slightly. He was sweet in his own way, and it was people like that who she would eventually have to depend on for supplies and inside information.

She leaned back in her chair and looked around again. Her mind was filing away the info that Snapps had just given her.

She looked at the drink as if it was something grand. "Thank you Snapps." She sipped the drink, nodding her satisfaction. "I think this will last me a while. I'm only stopping here for a short while." She leaned in towards him in a confiding manner. "I'm on my way to the public safety HQ. I've been assigned to night secretary," she whispered so only he could hear.
