-Lim as well, felt no need to apologize, trying to hide the smirk that wanted to cover his face. He really shouldn't take pleasure in other people's misfortune.. but truely.. it wasn't as if he'd done any REAL harm. In fact.. this boy would probably be better off now with the words of the king.
And the king.. the king was obviously a stick in the mud. So he would get no apology either. Lim didn't FEEL up for trying to impress the old lion.
Offering a soft smile on his currently white maw, he motioned gently for her to follow, speaking lightly over his shoulder.- "Very well, we'll wait until they're done. Thanks for your time your highness."
-And with that he slipped from the landing to the rocks below, making his way slowly down.-
-Mufasa's smile was warm once again, and he shoed away the 'child's' worries with a soft wave of his paw.- "Those words weren't for you alone Taabu. You'd be surprised how many beasts don't take that knowledge in heed. It's simply advice from an old lion."
-His mind however had returned to something the boy had said before, and a gentle frown settled on his face.- "I do hope that your leaving turns out alright and as you wished. I for one know the pain of losing children. Both to travel and to the circle of life."

Taabu watched calmly as the pair exited the scene, his eyes drifting slowly away from them and up to the great bodice of his grandfather, watching him calmly with the utmost gentle smile lingering on his maw. He was glad he got to see the old lion before time ran it's course.
"My parents will be here, I know they will, I'm their only child. My mother will know where I've gone, and father will come too," he said, his voice calm, not even the smallest glimmer of doubt lingering. He had always just figured that his parents would come - and he never wanted to believe otherwise.
"Maybe, when they get here, I can bring Dad to come see you?" he asked quietly of the great lion king, his tail flickering behind him calmly.

"Goodbye, King Mufasa. Goodbye, Taabu," she murmured, gifting both with one of her rare genuine smiles, before falling into step beside Lim. She started off that way, anyway. She walked beside him for a few moments, before deciding she liked their previous travel arrangement much better, hopping first onto a rock he walked past, and then using the elevated height to leap gently onto his back once more.
As she settled, a bit of a smirk on her maw, she asked, "So where are we going now, Lim? Do you actually know anyone in these lands who we can talk to?"

-As he made his way further from the rocks, and she settled on his back he debated letting the illusion slip away. It was obvious they weren't waiting for Taabu.. soo.. was there a reason for him to stay concealed once they were out of eyeshot?
Her words lifted his ears, and he shook his head a little.- "I'm afraid I don't. But not knowing people has never stopped me from talking to them."
"Exactly how long are you intent on staying?"
-He smiled gently, nodding at the sentiment. Had he not been stuck to the throne.. Sarabi not so weak.. and his children not so head strong he too would have likely gone after them. Atleast to check up on them.- "I'd very much enjoy that. I've only seen two of my five children in the past few months. Most of them left so long ago."
((@ Kaytla - We could hunt someone else to meet if you like. But if we do we might as well move it to the Pridelands forum :3 ))

Taabu smiled as he listened to the old king, tail flickering to and fro behind him as he slowly pushed himself up onto his paws once more, the muscles beneath his pelt rippling with a maturity no one quite expected of his bodice. "That's too bad, I know that my Gamma was very upset when my Uncle Denahi left the Kusini lands," he murmured, staring down at his paws for a moment. He certainly hoped his mother hadn't reacted in such a way - after all, Taabu hadn't left in rage or fury like Denahi had. " I can only imagine what it must be like. I don't think Bibi is very happy, not knowing where they are," he murmured, stealing a glance to th einside of the cave, " she was very happy to see father when he came home to show me to her, though." IT was odd to think.. that this was his family. A family he hardly knew, but one, no doubt, that he held dear.

XD Wanna draw this to a close since Uumi and them have reached the Pridelands and all.
And pathetically.. I just realized now in this post who Bibi was. whee ))
-He nodded a little gently, knowing very well that his mate longed for the children as much as he did. And unlike him, her health really kept her from finding this to preoccupy herself. He offered Taabu a soft laugh though, and a knowing nod.- "There isn't much one can do when strong minded children are involved."
"And where are you staying until they find you?"

Taabu stood slowly, tail flickering behind him as he glanced down from the edge of priderock. He shrugged at his grandfather's question, his eyes glittering as he looked over the lands that had raised his father into adulthood. "Anywhere I find, really," he murmured as he glanced back up to the larger lion. He shrugged it off, tail flickering as he took a step back from the edge.

"Well, I'm sure Sarabi would be thrilled to pieces if you stayed with us up in the rocks while you waited."
"But only if you want." -He added the last bit with a soft yawn, lifting his body gently, streching out old apendages before his eyes turned back to the large den that rested atop the rock platform.-

Taabu grinned, rather amusedly in fact, as he turned to gaze into the den that held his grandmother's slumbering form. "I'd love to stay with you and Bibi," he said, his grin still plastered quite happily to his maw. His tail flickered, eyes peering into the dim mouth of the den, his paws slowly taking a few steps forward, "I think I'll go have a bit of a visit with her now, seeing as that was my true intentions coming up here."
He took a slow stride into the cave, glancing bakc over his shoulder, a smile on his maw, "It was nice to finally meet you grandpa, I'll see you later." And he sauntered off, disappearing into the darkness of his temporary residence.

-He laughed a little lightly with the title. Even in all his years.. and all the grandchildren he had, he didn't think any had actually ever called him that. It certainly made him feel old.
Watching his grandson dissapear towards the den, he finally turned his attention back once again to the savannah, before setting out down the rocks.-
