Miyu, now sufficiently tired, smiled. "I thought I did well, but I didn't know that well! I'm so happy! Thank you for helping me, Rivera. You have helped me so much.. You gave me back my best friend, Yuki, and helped me to begin fully realizing my healing abilities and enhancing what I could already achieve. I am so very grateful to you. Is there anything I can do to help you? Oh, you must let me help you in some way. You have given me so much, I must give back to you in return." Miyu smiled once more. It gave her great pleasure to give back to others. She always had and always would. She would feel guilty if she did not feel that she had given back to another person. Rivera was considered by Miyu to be a new friend and Miyu wanted to help her in any way she could. That's what friends do for friends, in Miyu's mind. She eagerly waited Rivera's reponse...

Rivera smiled at her gently until she heard her say the word help. Her face suddenly faded, but she quickly put her smiling mask back on. There were those who offered to help her and she had accepted. Those were the ones who had met their graves before their time. Rivera never forgot that lesson. She was beyond help. There was nothing anyone could do for her now... nothing.
"It's... alright... " Rivera whispered, "I was placed in this world to make people's lives better... it's my 'punishment', I suppose. It should be over quite soon... I've been waiting to rest for a long time, after all..." Looking away, she gazed into the skylights. She could see the brightness formed by the contrast of the room's lighting. The illumination was brilliant and beautiful. "It was fate that we should meet, Miyu. It doesn't matter what you use your powers for. There is no good or bad in my eyes... only those who believe and those who don't." With that said, Rivera walked away. It was hard to call it walking. It was almost like she was just... traveling... somehow, from one place to another. Before anyone knew it, she had vanished outside the door. Usagihana had vanished too... but she didn't seem to have left at all. The android seemed to have... vanished.
Outside the room, Rivera found Darc. She had felt his aural presence when she was inside... but she didn't think that he would be wounded. There was no surprise on her face, only curiosity on what he had done. Checking her own energy level, Rivera pointed her middle and index finger into the air and drew a circle in blue light.
"Lend me power... for the sake of those beloved and myself." The prayer was whispered softer than her usual voice, followed by a louder tone of the incantation. "Purifacus dere vier, rastodde causa der'acqu..."
A torrent of water rushed from beneath Darc's body with her ultimate healing spell. It worked on others only, and she could never use it for herself. But when it healed, it healed everything... usually. Unless if the patient was of pure light entity, she could usually restore everything using her own life force and the power of water. The water misted over Darc's body and vanished into clear vapor, gone from all sight.
Rivera fell to one knee, dazed from her power overusage. She wasn't fully recovered from the star test yet. Her powers had been greatly dimished. "Damnit... Underestimated again... s**t!"

Rivera blinked. She suddenly stood up firmly, all signs of weakness fading from her. It was a long practiced art called 'resolve'. She had read about it in a book and had learned it quickly... Resolve was a form of mental reestablishment, to renew her grips on thinking and gain new energy from enthusiasm or will. "I'm okay. I've resolved to stay strong..." She began to walk away with the mechanical firmness of a veteran. Resolve had a bad side to it as well. It turned her into a machine, ignoring the feelings of others until it wore off completely. Yet when it wore off, she would simply be tired and unable again.

" he sead notlooking at her he was looking strait down, " i thout maybe when you saw it you would smile if atlest only for a moment " he picked the neckless up from his neck and he staired at the fang " here, maybe you can use it, give it to someone you like being around " he sead and he pulled the neckless off taking her hand lightly and placing the fang inside it he closed her hand around it and he turned and walke away from her slowly looking at the ground sliding his hands deep into the pockets of his pants not looking back afrade that if he did he would hurt her seens he wasnt wereing the pendent anymore. He walked slowly showing he didnt wont to and that he realy had no were to go, nothing plained out or anything, that he would just walk

Rivera's voice was hard and mechanical, cold, yet still with some shred of humanity within them. "I'm sorry Darc... resolve will do this to me... I will smile again, soon... but as long as I stay in resolve... I will be a danger to everyone here..." She didn't know that Usagihana knew about the dragonfang. It was something she guarded with utmost secrecy. No one was to know about it.
"I'll see you again soon... don't be... too down in the dumps..." And as she walked, she seemed to vanish within moments.

Miyu saw her disappear. She waited a few moments, in a bit of disbelief and wonder, before returning to her station. She set down Yuki and sat down in front of her painting. Miyu signed her name in the bottom right corner, ever so small and carefully, with a pen. She grabbed her painting and her books. She looked down at Yuki and nodded, "Yes, Yuki, it's time that we go back to our room. I have to hang this!" Miyu smiled at Yuki and rose from her seat. She walked with her items in hand out the door and to her room with Yuki following closely behind, just happy to be back where she belonged. Miyu knew that she would return again...

It was nearly a week later when Miyu returned with Yuki in tow. She carried her bookbag at her side and her diary in her arms. Miyu sat down in the same spot as before and set down her items. She got up and found another canvas. She placed it upon the easel. Miyu got out some paints and brushes. She pulled over a stoll and motioned for Yuki to jump up. Yuki did and sat down proudly. Miyu smiled and began her portrait of Yuki..

Deserai walked into the art room. She had hoped it would be empty. Her purple hair swirled around her as she walked confidently into the room, her head held high and her deep grey eyes sparkling. She would go to some sort of club to think, but since she promised her sister that she'd be more responsible, she learned to channel her emotions into her paintings. She sat down in the back of the room with a blank canvas, putting her long hair in a ponytail. She tucked a loose piece of hair behind her ear and began to paint wildly. She felt her homesickness and sadness brushed on her painting as she leaned back to take a deep breath and examin the painting before continuing. She stared at the canvas for a while before really seeing the painting. It was a painting of long purple hair blowing in the wind. It was intangled at some time with bubblegum pink hair, long and thick just the same. Deserai felt the sadness well up inside of her. At the edge of the canvas, the hair finally 2 heads. It was just like the picture she had at her dorm. It was her purple hair with her sisters, her best and only friend. They had hugged for the picture, not thinking it would be the last one they would take for such a long time. Deserai saw her face, and Kendal's stare back at her with such happy smiles that she couldn't help but grin. She'd see her again, she knew she would. And she would also see the real her. The one free of sadness and anguish.
(Is that any good? It's my first post since getting in to the guild)

Miyu finished up her portrait of her best friend. As her finishing touches were made she exclaimed, "Yuki, you were great. In a moment, you will see." Miyu finished and said, "There we go! Want to see?" Yuki meowed yes. Miyu took the canvas and turned it so that Yuki could see. Yuki meowed happily. Miyu put the canvas back onto the easel and looked at it again, "It is nice, isn't it? I think it captures you well." Yuki meowed happily in response. Miyu's painting skills weren't perfect, but they were improving. The painting wasn't half bad, in her opinion. It didn't matter, to either of them. Miyu cleaned the brushes, put all the paints and brushes away. She grabbed her diary and placed it inside her bookbag. She left the painting to return for it another time. Miyu said, "Yuki, it's time to go. We'll be back again sometime. I promise. The painting has to drive and I love this place as though it were my sanctuary, so I will surely return. Come on now. I need to do some studying." Miyu picked up her backbagand rested it upon her shoulder as Yuki jumped from her stool. The two walked out, to return at a later date..

She walked into the stdio. Her purple her whiped behind her as she took a quick left. She took out some paper, and colored pencils. Then from her purse she pulled out her lucky pencil. Mae closed her eyes and thought, Let this picture be wonderful! This was a little ritual she did every time she started to draw. Lost in the picture she was creating, Mae ignored all in the room. In her studies of fashion design, she had learned many things, and one thing was that when you had an idea, let nothing disturb you until you completed it. Each stoke of her pencil produced more of an image. As Mae added eyes, mouth, nose, ears, the portrait seemed to come alive. Then the body began to for and then clothing along with it. The dress she was designing was long, but had a short flirty pleat in front to give it a 3 dimensional look. The neckline was deep, but not daringly so. The sleeves were short and loose and the shoes matched the dress to perfection. Finally, Mae pulled out the colors and added more vibrant life to the flat dimensions on the paper. I highlight here, and dark stroke there, and the dress was complete! "There!" Mae whispered on a sigh as she held up her latest creation.

Deserai came out of the back of the art room, unknowing that a newcommer had entered. She instinctivly (sp?) tucked her hair behind her ear and walked up behind the girl, looking at her artwork. "It's really nice." she said outloud, more to let the girl know she was there. She put down her colorfilled canvas and sat on the floor, staring up into the glass ceiling. "It's so relaxing in here." she whispered, and she closed her eyes, laying back onto the floor. Her breathing slowed down and she let her mind wonder as she lost all connection to the human world. (Other words, she fell asleep. Don't worry, she didn't die!)

Ligah walked into her newly-assigned class. Apparently, there were no teachers, only a sleeping girl and a few other students. Ligah took a seat beside the former, who was lying down on the floor, and whispered, "Psst, I'm kinda new in this class... Can you, like, help someone out? If I'm disturbing you, then..." Ligah's voice trailed off as she set up her easel and half-finished picture of an orange.
