Several brief reasons. Alloow me to elaborate...

1.) I'm a perverted, twisted man.

- Like most other males, I got into the series from the aptly named (and ultimately unnessecary now that I'm older) "breast physics engine". Don't get me wrong; subtle jiggling and flopping about is cool (DoA3), but the exaggerated "features" get rather annoying later down the road. Alas, the curse of being a straight male. whee

2.) KABOOM, YO!!!

- Destructible environments, what's not to like about that?

3.)

Ol' Dirty b*****d

Do you wanna get you teeth knocked the f*ck out?!

- The moves *look* like they hurt. Bad. gonk

4.)

Bruce Lee

Don't think... feel. It is like a finger pointing away towards the moon.

- Jann Lee. What kind I say? Bruce Lee knock-offs own me. whee

5.) Hitomi

- Need I go on? wink

6.) "You is a dead motherf*cker."

- Ein and Jann Lee. Fight (or use) this team; you'll know what I mean. twisted

*interactive environments
*kick a** characters
*kick a** fighting styles
*FMVs
*and....everything! 3nodding heart

hmm... for me it's because of the amazing proportions they put on the chicks. And the incredible counter attacks that raise my nerve level

the deep gameplay, and the fact you can't just win with simple tricks, unless your opponent just doesn't catch on...Also, the very things that can save you, can easily be the same things that causes you to lose. In the DOA, Nothing is 100% safe 100% of the time. Also, its fast thinking, high risk/high reward......It has a big realism to it...And yeah, the Girls are hot too yes, and they have Fly costumes.

Kasumi made me pick it up, but the fighting engine and the enviroments kept me. virtua fighter is deep and a quality fighting game, but its to slow for me and i dont like tekken. imo DOA is the best fighting game and is my fav franchise.

I love DOA for so many reasons..

Besides the fact that the story is really cool IMO, I also love the characters...(Kasumi is my absolute favorite character from anything...) It also is what got me interested in ninja muchly.

The gameplay is also my favorite of any fighting game. It's just so satisfying to just punch the opponent (whether it's the sound effects or the realistic[ish] physics, I don't know..). The characters are so heavy, so it feels as though you're actually hitting something even though you're controlling a character...

Also..a friend of mine got into the game by seeing the panties... eek lol and she's a girl. She's obsessed with cuteness, so seeing the customized panties Ayane and Kasumi have in DOAU made her excited xd

yea!!same here my friends played doa and i was like...come one guys doa sucks like other fighting games...but my friend actually talked me into playing it and i like it XD
