mechredd I found a team Tippmann jersey a few days ago, I can never remember what that team is called. I think that I'll buy it because I like Tippmanns alot and it justy looks cool. Too bad the team sucks though. Name of the team's Tippmann Effect. They don't suck really though. They got awsome players, it's just that a tippmann in the arena just has a very hard time competing with maxed out autococker, angels, dm4's, etc. Plust they got a bunch of new players recently, so they're still tryin to fix all the bugs and waitin for the "glue" to set in. ONe day they'll be more respected.

I shouldn't have put is so blunt.

I play mostly deep-woods games, so while it's probably heresy around here, I keep my Tippmann Prolite stock, aside from a slight modification to the adjustment-nut (the aluminum had stripped, and we had to re-tap it) I simply haven't had a need to modify it. It's so reliable I don't want to mess with it.

I never heard of a Tippmann Prolite, did you mean the Pro-Carbine? If you did, I really like the pro-carbine. Its very relyable and durrable, thats why its the choice of police and military for nonleathel pepperballs.
The only thing I don't like about it is that there are almost no mods for it at all. I guess that works for you but I just have a compultion to increace the preformance of what I have.

I bought one of the last new ones I've ever actually seen, and they were already getting scarce at that point. They took it off the market after releasing the Tippman 98, which I don't find to be nearly as good as the Prolite. The Prolite is basically configured in the form of a rifle, using the CO2 tank as a stock coming off the bottom of the grip. The gun came with a 9oz tank with a butt, but I prefer the balance the 20 oz gives it (which is merely a personal preference). I carry the 9 as a spare, since as I said I play mostly woods and as a result we're usually out there for quite a while each game.

I was looking for the Pro-Lite on the net and I found out that the Pro-Carbine that I was talking about is actually a cross between the Pro-Lite and the 68. Its semi-auto but will open a breach for easy field cleaning if you pump it. It looks almost identicle to the Pro-lite.

It also pumps open to allow field cleaning in the breech. that feature has saved my rear a few times when I've ended up with a bad ball stuck in there.

One of the balls had somehow gotten some water on it and swelled in the breech. Wasn't fun tryin to get out, and then clean.

I wonder what the difference is between the pro-lite and pro-carbine.

It's designed not to use an elbow, which reduces jamming, and the whole forward grip including the elbow slides forward to reveal the chamber, which is what has been the life-saver. Thats what I get for posting when tired. It's actually pretty easy to open the breech too with an allen wrench, though, if anything happens to get in there, though the whole bolt-mechanism has a pretty good seal between the valve and the open area where the bolt's handle exits the main body of the marker.

I have nitrogen for my A-5 but I only use it for a game or two in the winter. I use CO2 the rest of the year because its cheaper. I havent used N2 enough to notice a difference. Do you think I should use nitro year round?

Do you think I should use nitro year round? Really depends on your budget. Nitro's supposed be be cleaner and more efficient, but like you said, it's more expensive. REally up to how much money you're willing to spend.

I'll probably have to use it when I start playing alot of airball, I'll be switching to a different gun.
