Degewi was about to freak out from the suspense though he felt that the fact that she was chewing on his mane was a good sign.
"That's so great, oooh I was so afraid you were going to say no. Oh I love you so Myoa, you've made my life worth living again." Degewi said lovingly nuzzling Myoa.

Myoa laughed gleefully. "Are you sure it was just a one-way thing?" She teased, smiling. It was true. Degewi had freed her from her secretive past. She returned the nuzzle, putting all her emotions through it. "I love you so much, Degewi," She said, "and I always will."

Degewi tilted his head he would have never been able to tell that something had been bad in Myoa's life

She struggled to put it in right words.
"From myself, as well, but not only that....You saved me terrible memories, I suppose. I think now, I can finally look at my past without anger, confusion, and hate."
It was hard for her to explain about her past, and her inner struggle. It caused so many problems, and now that they were finally solved (at least to a point), Myoa felt so....peaceful. She didn't really know why she felt those emotions anymore, and why she wasn't able accept her foalhood sooner. However, she did know that if she hadn't found Degewi, she would've scrunched up and hid in her deep emotions, and never of overcome her past.

Degewi nuzzled Myoa feeling wonderful about this moment.
"Would you like to talk about what happened? We are life mates now, no secrets. Ill tell you what happened to me. " He nuzzled her again wondering if he was saying the right thing.

She nuzzled him back joyfully. "Alright, okay, I think I'd like that." Myoa took a deep breath, than began her story.
"Well, since I can remember, I've always seen my parents fighting. I think they once got along amazingly, like a perfect couple, but my mom said that something happened beween my dad and a really nasty kalona before I was born, and something in my dad changed. It was like, he had a thirst to be evil." Her voice quivered slighty, but she continued. "Then, he started beating my mother up. Sometimes, he would beat me up, but my mom would always protect me." There were tears in Myoa's eyes now. "Finally, in a beating that I was supposed to take, he killed my mom. Well, she didn't die instantly, but it was her injuries that killed her. In her last hour of living, I asked her why she never left my father, and never took me with her. Her answer was love."
Myoa leaned against Degewi's strong bulk. She had never ever told anyone about her past. It was a relief to get it out, but it also sent threads of confusion, saddness, and anger through Myoa's heart.

Degewi's neck rubbed agaisnt Myoa's. Her past had been horrible and would have made Degewi afraid of love. He didnt know where she found her strengh and felt blessed that he had met her.
"That's horrible Myoa. Your poor mother." Degewi contiued to cuddle her he was going to tell his story but he wanted to give it a few minutes.

Myoa draped her head over Degewi's shoulder, resting there for a few moments. Then, her head suddenly shot up in realization. "You know..." Myoa began, slowly. "That love, I don't think she was refering to my dad. Well, I know my mother still loved my father, but I don't think that love bound her to stay. I think it was her love for...me. I mean, if she left, I would've eventually died from abuse. If she took her with me, I doubt I would'e been strong enough to survive." She shook her head ruefully, having that thought just cross her mind. "Either way, I ran away less than a week later. Thank goodess my mother gave me some knowledge of survivng on my own, before she passed on...." Tears filled Myoa's eyes again. "She gave me so much, yet I haven't been able to see it.
She smiled at Degewi, feeling better that her past was no longer bottled up inside her. "Your turn for comforting."

Degewi wasnt sure what to say to Myoa about what had happened to her. His problems seemed childish compared to her's.
"Such a hard life makes my woes look childish, I would have never known you had gone through something so horrible." Degewi wiped her tears wishing he could change the past for her, but if he changed the past they might not be together now so things werent all bad.
"My life is not as harsh as your's. I was born without my sight and my parents viewed me cursed and left me to fend for myself. A two legger boy took me in he was young as I, but did not realize I was blind. Everything was going fine untill the war begain between the two leggers I was painted the way you see me now and the boy rode me into battle............I couldnt hear anythings but yelling and shrill crys of pain.
So I couldnt tell what was around us ......I fell and my only family Id ever had was thrown from my back onto an enimes spear......He died and up till now Ive blamed myself for it, but things are ok now, though I'll never let another two legger on my back ever again."

Myoa smiled and nuzzled him. "Your past....I'm so sorry. That's so terrible.....and it wasn't your fault. How can you change something you were blessed with?"

"Blessed with hardly its my curse...." Degewi returned the nuzzle feeling so in peace at this moment.
"Now we know each others past and now its time to learn our future.
I love you Myoa and Ill never leave your side nor will I ever let harm come to you."

Myoa smiled, and pondered her choices. Her eyes danced as she realized the perfect spot to show her new mate. "Well, there is one place I'd like to show you...follow me."
With that, Myoa placed a wing over Degewi's shoulder, and began leading him to their destination. After ten minutes of walking to the southeast, she whispered, "Careful, we're starting to climb up now. Watch your step." She stepped onto the mountain path, and with her wing still on Degewi, she waited.

Degewi laughed abit just for the fact that she had said show. He followed her lead though enjoying the feel of his mates wing over his shoulder. He took careful steps upwards after she whispered.
"Where are we going?" Degewi asked curious of where they could be going.
