Reproduce?...of course. The procedure is very simple. Everything is done invetruviously. Reproductive cell samples are extracted from a couple, and they grow the child in the reproduction facility. What does that have to do with anything?

*blinks and snickers* Oh nothing, in my era we just go to a Sears, buy the kit, and assemble the baby. It's much easier and more efficient when you don't care about DNA.....
*pauses for a minute*
JESUS WOMAN, I bet you don't have overpopulation problems. Don't you know how creatures naturally reproduce? But then... with your attitude of touching spreading disease, I would guess not, because it's quite an awful lot of touching...

Wait...what facilitates a lot of touching?

Natural reproduction. You didn't even read about it in a science book? They do an awful good job of keeping things hidden from you apparently.... We may have a first use for the Brink Library, cuz I sure don't want to explain this by just telling you.

No no...I know what natural reproduction is. We did learn that in anthropological history sessions. But...I did not know that it required so much touching.
Are you saying that Tacitus touched me that way because he wanted to reproduce with me...that makes no sense. And how does that explain why the feeling was so different?

What I'm trying to say is that, it feels really good, and that people do it just for pleasure alot of the time. And... the body responds differently to different types of touch. For example, him using his mouth in that fashion is an erotic type of touch, and therefore would feel differently than say me poking you with a stick. Also, the feeling of being poked by the stick quickly fades, while the other kind of touch leaves a remaining feeling almost making you yearn for more. Do you see what I mean?

mm.... ::she nodded, in thought::
So, reproductive touching is done without the purpose of reproduction, but pleasue, because it feels better than other touching... So Tacitus didn't want to reproduce with me...he just wanted to commit the act because it would feel good?
I can see how that would work...but why? Why does reproductive touch feel better than stick poking touch? Why does it linger like this...?

Yes, that would be why he was doing that, because he wanted pleasure. Some males devote practically their entire interaction with the opposite gender to just getting pleasure in this fashion.
*blinks in disbelief....* I can't quite tell you why it would linger like that, perhaps the hormones distributed throughout your body when touched like that

:::she sighed... at least she got some kind of explination that sort of made sense. She was thankful for that at least. She looked to Haelous:::
Thank you for explaining it to me... you are by far the most normal, sensible person I've met here so far...at least of the male half.

I thank you for your kind words, but from what you've told me it's making me wonder.... is everyone here insane, cruel, evil, and so on...?

That is a very good question...I've tried to sort it out myself. Many of the people who come here have serious matters of good and evil...many internal conflicts. But others don't seem that way at all. Lucas seems like a normal human being..except that I watched him die and now he's back...and Maggie, though from a very foreign time, seems to be a normal woman.
But perhaps the brink choses us...I didn't understand why I was here, but herhaps I just have a lot to learn. What confuses me about is...why doesn't the brink take every person from my time then. Why me? Anyway... yes many of us have troubles...but there seems to be a deeper meaning to it.

I'm not quite sure about Tavin, but he seems to have honorable intentions although that's not quite what I kn-thought an angel would look like. There must be more to it then I suspect, because he doesn't appear to act evil.
*phoof, my brain is going to explode over here... this IS a bit intense....*
As for what you tell me of Tacitus... I do hope like you said he was not himself, as the last thing we need here is someone that attempts to manipulate others to get what they want.

Yes...I too witnessed his transformation...but I have an overwhemling sense that this form was not a demon...simply his demon. Like you, I don't sense malicious intent on his part, aside from the fact that he is my captain, and our leader. I will not question his actions..I believe he is the leader for a reason.
As for Officer Tac...I have forgiven him for any of his wrong doings on my part...I just wish he would come back to us. Because he is not himself.
:::Cora had been thinking of what Tac kept saying about Torment dying...she had not seen Torment in a long time, and it worried her:::

Just don't be afraid to ask for help, and don't do anything dumb. You can't forget the people in your own era that still need you. They have to come first. What I'm trying to say is, it can be better to leave matters of those who aren't human, to those who aren't human. You don't want to dig yourself a hole so big you can never get out....
*Can I really trust her enought o be tlaking like this? Maybe she's not really as innocent as she looks.... Maybe she's trying to get me to admit something.... No, she was honestly drunk off of a single glass of wine. Poor girl. *
