I did, the day it came out. I enjoyed it a lot, even Richard's parts...and usually, I hate Richard. He wasn't so much of a jackass in this book, though...

What did you think?

Also, I was disappointed with the lack of Edward and Olaf. Other than that, I loved the book, and especially liked the introduction of the new British vampires, and the Wicked Truth. 3nodding But where were Cherry and Zane in this one? sad

yeah, it did kind of seem like LKH left out a lot of the things in Anita's life with this one. but she still managed to get it over 600 pages... hopefully, considering how open ended this book was, the next one will include all the things that she didn't get around to. like EDWARD for example. and i thought for sure Marianne's cards were talking about him with that "teacher from your past" stuff.

surprisingly, i too liked richard in this book eek i think it was because he was acting like anita though ^_^ actually, this book just got me to truely like Micah. yea, yea, took me long enough, but you know, i just didn't get much from his first impression.

i was so dissappointed how we got a bunch a Damien in the beginning, then none! crying and i'm going into Edward withdrawal gonk

I thought she was speaking of Edward, too. stare Eh, I still don't like Micah. I have no freaking clue why, but I just don't like him. Jean Claude had a lot more involvement in this book, which was pretty cool. I'd been missing him. I liked how Anita felt absolutely nada this time around, looking at the crime scenes and killing what needed to be killed. Gave me shivers. whee

i think it was the comparison to an kitty, small cute loveable, but will claw your face up to proctect someone, that did me in. i have two cats, and once you compare someone to a kitty, it's all over whee also the small description, because being female and kinda short, big is intimidating. ::shrugs:: whatever though.

and about anita feeling nothing, i loved how that spread to her sex-life too. wooo casual sex xp the blending of the 3 members of the triumverites' personalities was one of my favorite parts, excluding the making anita more submissive part. what can i say, that flat out doesn't do it for me. wink ... yes, i am a loser

.......*on page 56**Had to stop reading for A) Report, B) Singing friend going on tour in France and had to spend time with him before he left*

*sob* Imustfinishthisbook!

I'm scared that people like Richard. Very scared. If I read it and actually *like* him, I'll just re-read CS. He was a b***h in it, I can hate him again.

So far, I *still* dislike Micah. Dammed lepoard. Ronnie still has me made, all pissy about Jean-Claude. Nat stopped being so.......Uke-y. I was so sad. I had to stop readjng and stare in disbelief.

^___^ now I wanna finish reading that Thy's gone!

I didn't like how Asher was just an after thought to be mentioned in passing. As at the end of CS it seemed like the relationship between Anita Jean-Claude and Asher would be very important in Anita's usual "OMG i'm dating like 20 billion dudes... Ahhh, yell shout!!!!111!!"
I am very very glad that she is finaly dealing with her interpersonal relationships in a way besides being b***h, upset, or ignoring the issue.
I love the new vampires especially Byron and Requiem, but I wish that LKH had spent more time on her pre-existing characters, like, what is up with the pard, and the werewolves, I'd like to have known how the thred with Gil ended up, but more than anything I just wanted to see more Asher.

Oh gods, I got the book last month and i thought that it was so much better than her last couple of books. For a while back, she kinda got a little weak (in my opinion) in the whole vampire storyline and was heavy on the police work. But dont get me wrong they were ok books.

But I totally heart d the new book. Though I am a Asher fan, and i wish that he had made a bigger appearence in the book. But I am overall happy about the book.
