Porigon is actualy less like a pokemon than humans. And obviously it wouldn't work on humans, their evolution is far to stable. Mew can't, for example, turn any pokemon into a mew, which is what's at the bottom of the evolutionary chain for every pokemon except Castform and Porigon and mabey unknown. It can't do anything to a basic pokemon like Charmander, it can only de-evolve things which have evolved within their lifespan, thus making their evolution unstable.

Legendary pokemon don't have an egg form, with the exception of the three lesser legendary birds(Zaptos, Artocuno, Moltrace)in and only in the cartoons. It's one of those thing legendarys share that seperate them from normal pokemon. At the very least Mew and Mewtwo don't. Mewtwo was created in a lab, and Mew is like the primordial ozze of the pokemon world, there's nothing that could have laid an egg for it to hatch from.

Anyways I haven't played the gme yet, but I've done some research. In terms of new legendarys for Diamond and Pearl, we have-

Uxie, Mespirit, and Azelf-Three very similar picic pokemon, apparently a parralle to the legendry dogs/birds. Don't know much about them. The don't seem very though, but I could be wrong.*shrugs* They "quelled" Dialgla and Palkia's powers by fighting them. Uxie has the ability to weaken it's enimie by sacraficing itself, which is nifty, and Mespit can revive itself and possibly others after it's been defeated. Described as the emotion pokemon, the knowledge pokemon, and the will pokemon, respectively.

Diagla-The pokemon on the cover of Diamond, it's a steel/dragon type. Much more intrestingly, Diagla is the "time" pokemon, apparently able to travel through and bend time. Bassicly, it's a second Celibi, only it's substantialy more powerful, and a welcome new asset to the pokemon team. Not sure how it's powers will be interpreted in the anime(which is what I'm using for the most part in this disscussion). It's ability makes it so that the opponent uses double PP-in other words, they get tired twice as fast, which is somewhat useful. Intresting attacks include the roar of time, which stops the opponent from attacking by frezzing them in a time warp, and heal block, which stops opponents from healing or regenerating, though I don't know of many regenerating digimon anyways.

Palkia-The pokemon on the cover of Diamond, and a water dragon. It's the "Space" pokemon to complement Diagla's "Time". I'm not sure quite how it's space powers work, though I tentatively assume it has to do with demensional alering, similar to unknown. Again, I'm intrested to see what it's powers will be like in the anime. It has the same "tiring" ability as Diagla. It's intresting attacks are spatial rend, which someow uses spacial altering to inflict critical hits, and the same heal block move as Diagla. NOte that apparently niether Dialga nor Palkia are at full power when you fight/use them, their power having been reduced by the afformention legendary hree(Uxie, ect.)

Heratran-I have no clue what's up with this guy. Though apparently a legendary, He's pretty much just a random pumped up steel fire pokemon, which I suppose isn't all that diffrent from the birds/dogs/reggies, expecally the reggies. He is called the crater pokemon and is most likely a metiorit or something similar. It's completely immune to fire and heat, which I suppose could be useful against the right opponent. No particularly intresting moves, just a lot of powerful fire moves wit some steel and dark mixed in.

Regigigas-Now this is an intresting one. He's apparently the king of Reggies, and was said to have pulled the continents together in lore, and he's got some of the highest base stats of any pokemon ever. He is called the giant pokemon. His specal ability, intrestingly enough, is a handycap, with his power being halfed for a short while after his awakening. Intresting moves include confuse ray(everyone should know what that is), Crush grip, the power of which is determined by the enimies HP or healt, and giga crush, one of the most powerful attacks in the pokemon games.

Gigrantina-The third of the the legendary dragons of D/P(the other two being Dialga and Palkai. It's a gost dragon(intresting...) and called the rebelion pokemon(?). Space, time...and rebellion? That makes a hell lot of sense. Anyway, it apparently controlls sadows or spirts or something like that. It has the same "tiring" ability as the other dragons as well as heal block. Also has a very powerful, unavoidable move called shadow force whic can also be used to dodge.

Cressilia-Very little is known about this rather random legendary pokemon. It's called the crecent pokemon, so mabey it's from the moon or something. It's a psycic and has a bunch of basic psicic moves. It has a coplle of nifty healing moves, namely moonlight and a new move where it sacrifices itself to heal an aly. Also has the ability to shift status effects infilicted on it to it's opponent.

Phione and Manaphy-Manapy is a legendary that must be traded from pokemon ranger, Phione is what you get when you breed Manaphy with a dito. Phion is called the ocean pokemon, Manaphy the voyage pokemon. Not much to say about them except they'd be a freakn' perfect match for marien anglemon.

Darakrai-A dark type pokemon called the Darkness pokemon, it's very...well, dark. It apparently is some kind of nighmarish pokemon that preys on it's oppponent's dreams, with moves like hypnosis, Dark void(a pumped up hypnosis), nightmare and dream eater, as well as an abilty that basicly works the same as nightmare, causing the oponnent to constantly lose health as long as they're asleep. Not much ealse o say about him. He looks really cool.

Shaymin-It's...a freakn' white and green hedgehog with a pink flower. Right then....It's called the gratitude pokemon, and is a grass type. Doesn't have any particularly use ful moves or a useful ability...but it can put opponents to sleep with grass wistle. Yay. Hard to belive it's a legendary.

Arceus-And here's the moment you've all been waithing for, the most relivant neew eddition in D/P, no, the most useful and powerful member in the pokemon team. Meet Arceus, literaly the God of pokemon, known as the "creation pokemon" by the pokedex, which is found in the "begining demenision". There's apparently a huge backstory for this guy, found in tablets throught the game, but I have yet to find a translated version of the story. What is know for sure is that it is, as stated before, the God that created all pokemon(and aparently their demsion), and it is the unrivaled most power pokemon ever, with the best base stats of any pokemon. Mewtwo wishes he were this guy. Strangly enough, he can't learn all the TMs like Mewtwo and Mew can, but he can learn almost all of them. He has the ability to change to any of the diffrent types in pokemon, and an exlusive move called judgement which changes to what ever type Arceus is. Wether or not Arceus in an omnipotent God, and what he'll be like in the anime, reamans to be seen.

Good idea Kamikazek-Z. I'm game. Though I'm thinking it could take awhile with over 200 combatants on each side. Should we have a set number of fighters? Maybe one for each element or something from Pokemon, and then Arseus (I think that's 16, but I'm too lazy to check)?
