I think they balance each other wonderously. I'm one of those, if I can't have them both...try harder, kind of guys.

As far as who I think would be sexier in a purely physical sense it would have to be Richard. Richard has the whole down to earth look about him. He wears faded jeans, work boots and a good white t-shirt; to me that's just about as hot as it gets. Plus I'm a sucker for a guy who's tall, well built and tan. Not to mention the smell of him as described in the books would appeal to me I think.

Jean Claude seems a bit of a Fop to me. He's someone that seems to live in perpetual masquerade mode and while that's fun every now and then I don't think I could deal with that perpetually. Always having to look perfect kind of ruins it for me. Jean Claude comes of to me as one of those guys you look at but don't touch for fear that he's really just a fine statue or a figment of your imagination. I like someone who's more earthy.

Though I happen to think that Jean Claude for all his Machiavellian schemings is more stable mentally than Richard. Mentally Richard can't hold a candle to Jean Claude. Richard's got too many ideals that don't work in his very realistic situation. He needs to realize he'll probably never have children since he's a lycanthrope, he'll probably never have the house with the white picket fence, too much s**t goes on in his own yard for him to be Mr. Suburbia, Anita and he will never have a good stable relationship with each other with the exception of a friendship if they ever get over their own issues and agree to stop being ******** cruel to each other. Richard also needs to realize that because he's Ulfric he has obligations to his pack and he needs to start being a good political puppy or step aside though I'm not sure he'd be allowed to just step down. Richard is at odds with himself in the world because he can't really deny his situation anymore. On the one side he's accepted his beast but he hasn't accepted all the ramifications that being a lycanthrope brings with it.

Jean Claude knows what he is, accepts it, embraces it and enjoys the hell out of it. He's more stable, what he desires often co-incides with what's realistic for him so he doesn't have the hangups. Not to mention Jean Claude doesn't have morals that are in conflict or contradiction with his reality and that helps a lot. From that aspect Jean Claude is a better catch but I don't really enjoy him as a character all that much. I think were I to live in that world and run in the same circles as Anita he'd be someone to watch from afar just to see what s**t he's going to pull next. Kind of a buddy but not a close friend.

*then again I've yet to read Danse Macrabe cuz I'm waiting for the paperback since I don't have a decent library selection and I refuse to ruin my paperback collection with a hardcover, so I don't know if Richard has begun to stabalize himself, I know in the last book he was starting to but still having major hang ups.*

I'm more of a Richard fan than I am of Jean-Claude, but I like them both better than Micah and Nathaniel. (Not saying I don't love them, but it's just all about them lately...and I think it's gotten to me.)

I recently started to re-read the earlier books, and I really forgot how she used to look and describe Jean-Claude.

It's like he's gone on the back burner, you know? So, I now like Jean-Claude more than I did. sweatdrop

I love Richard. Yum. I do not know why but I do. I liked him in the beginning and now. JC was starting to interest me but after reading on...I do not like him as much. However JC is my back ground pic on my compy only cause I dont have one of Richard sadly...

Hands down Jean Claude is the hotter of the two and is the most considerate and just has less issues to deal with than Richard. Richard was ok at first but he just became quite bothersome and a handicap to the triumverate after awhile.

Which do you think is hotter, Richard or Jean-Claude???Personally, I think they're both hot.

:sigh:
That's such a tough one!!! The thing is they ARE both hot as hell but Richard has allll that emotional baggage and won't do what he has to do to be a strong leader. That just annoys me. He's becoming a whiner which makes me say JC alllll the way.

If Richard could can the bullshit than DEFINITLY richard...because he's a sweetie and not only good looking but he doesn't die at sunrise like JC. And I like to Cuddle in the morning and through the night.

I totally I agree with what you are saying...Richard is hotter but has all that baggage. I didn't give as detailed of an answer as you did but I am right there with you on your response.

Just for the record...no Richard doesn't get any more stable...

Jean-Claude, hands down. Richard is way too whiny and stupid to be hot. He should take some pointers from Jean-Claude.

Both. They're both hot, nice, and they balance each other out.

in my opinion Richard is definatly the hotter one of the two. but relationship wise, JC would get my vote.

Dude! Jean-Claude of course, Richard sounds ok but hes so whiny and insecure I mean JeanCluade has everything brains, power, money, ...looks. Only thing Richard has against that is that he can be out in sunlight and doesnt go into that dead sleep.

Ugh.
That's a toughie.
I gotta say both.
They both have interesting personalities and I can't help but like 'em both.
PostPosted: Tue Jul 31, 2007 12:17 pm

*Sighs* I love them both. The thing is that their kinda like polar opposites, Jean-Claude has got a lot of things Richard doesn't. JC is supernaturally hot, hes got money and power. Richard is hot but he lacks the...umm ability to use his hotness to its fullest extent. Hes too insecure. But Anita loves Richard because he's closer to Human than Jean-Claude is.

Poor Richard though, Jean Claude has the right stuff to make silk look utterly masculine. Put Richard in a silk shirt and he'd look like an Idiot

But i'm still leaning over to Richard's side more...dunno why but I just am. I think its because hes just sexy Naturally

OK whining men annoy me so I would have killed Richard myself by now....So I definitely pick Jean Claude.
