About to speak up in defense of her pride once more, Siku went quiet at the sight of the waterfall, mouth hanging open in awe more so than it had when she had first seen the waterfall. Eyes widening, she approached it quietly, muscles tensed as if ready to run at any minute. From what Kijibwa had said, it was perfectly safe, but it still made her a bit nervous. Watching it more, she finally seemed to relax a bit, lowering to a sitting position as she stared into the waterfall.

Apparently not having any more to say, she turned to look at Kijibwa expectantly. Managing a smile, she turned back to the waterfall.

"I think you're right, though." She said quietly, eyes unmoving from the tumbling water.

"That the waterfall is safe. Is the water around it safe, though?"

Kijibwa lets his mind wander from the Pridelands back to their current location, the Jungle. The waterfall is as wonderful as he remembers, and it doesn't look like anyone else is about right now either. He grins at Siku, though the lioness is not looking in his direction at the moment, and wastes no time heading for the edge of the pool.

"It's safe," he calls back, brushing a paw through the water. The water is more still than the water running through the streams, if one doesn't count the rush from the waterfall and from the edges where the water leaves. It'd be more familer to the lioness, and Kiji grins back at her, nodding for her to come over.

If Kijibwa had been paying close attention to Siku's face, he would notice a gleam in her eye and a mischevious smile, followed by feigned innocence as she timidly padded over. Drooping her ears a bit, she slowly approached the side of the water, eyeing it cautiously and doubtfully. Pulling back, she retreated to stand behind Kijibwa, pretending to hunch to a nervous form, when in reality, she was tensing her muscles in preperation to pounce.

"I..I don't know, Kiji.. it's still a bit frightening.." She said softly, looking up as she couldn't manage to hide the grin any longer. Uncurling from her wait, Siku poured all of her strength into the following shove, hoping that Kijibwa would find his way into the water.

"Tell me how it is when you get in!" She cried out, laughing. It just might end up working..

Any background motion around him from Siku goes completely unnoticed by the black and white lion. As timid as Siku is, when she isn't so anxious she is good at pretending to be.

"Really, Siku, it's a lot calmer here," Kiji says as an explanation in an amused tone of voice as he turns around to look at Siku. The expression doesn't last and is quickly replaced with a stunned one as he attempts to duck a lioness lunging at him, "Hey!"

Being so close to the water, it's inescapable. Without all four feet on the ground, which is not all around him, his balance is easily overthrown and with a great splash he tumbles into the pool, pushing himself far enough away from the edge that he does need to paddle.

"H-h-hey," he sputters from the water, unable to see Siku clearly because of his thick mane now weighed down over his eyes, "An ambush!"

"And you fell for it!" Siku said with a laugh and a mischevious grin, sauntering to the water's side and sitting to watch Kijibwa. Unable to hold her laughter, she simply sat and watched in amusement, seeing the dripping lion paddle around frantically. Sure, it had been a cheap shot, but it was funny to watch him swim. Remaining in her seated position, she leaned in with a mischevious smirk, tail skimming through the water.

"Come on now, Kiji! You said it's safe, right?"

Kiji paddles closer to the water's edge until he can comfortably place his paws on the slippery floor of the pool, though it still appears as if he is swimming. Through bits of his mane, he can make out that Siku is very close to the water's edge, and judging by the rippling in the water some part of her is touching it.

"It is safe!" he declares, reaching her fairly quickly, "But not for you!" He reaches suddenly for her tail and back legs doing his best to get a grip on the lioness to drag her into the water as well, at the very least he causes waves enough to splash her.

"WAAAAAAAH!" Suddenly finding herself being pulled, the smile fled from Siku's face, and she frantically whipped around to attempt at grabbing the land near her. Failing miserably at this, she watched in desperation as the ground fled from under her claws, and she landed in the pool with a heavy SPLASH.

Being sumbmerged into the water, Siku remained for a moment, looking around almost disbelievingly that she was in water. It almost seemed impossible to her... atleast, until she remembered that breathing was an important aspect to living. Paddling as quickly as possible, Siku managed to pull her head up, fur soaked to her body and weighing her down. Glancing to Kijibwa as she paddled for shore, the lioness couldn't help but manage a laugh, planting her paws on the water's edge.

"W..Well, I asked for that one.." She admitted with a grin, looking to Kijibwa.

"But I think you win the "Looks funniest when wet" contest."

Kiji laughs triumphantly when Siku falls into the water with a mighty splash, pleased to have his revenge. He watches her from above the surface while she takes her time coming back up for air, almost tempted to bring her up for air himself. Once she does resurface, though, he wastes no more time and paddles over to the edge and climbs out of the water, dripping.

"You most certainly did ask for that," he says with a chuckle, tossing his head to try to get his mane from his eyes, only to whip the sides of it into his face. Realizing this isn't going to work, he just shakes his whole upper half.

"I can't help it if my head is fuzzier than yours," Kiji argues are her 'funniest' comment, and though he can't see it his mane now sticks out at odd angles, much puffier than before, "Well, that was one way to get some of the sand out." He laughs again, and then shakes his lower half off.

Nodding in agreement, Siku followed after Kijibwa as he headed for the land, rather amused with the whole situation. It was funny, she had to admit, and it was a great way to start off her jungle experience. Planting her feet firmly on the ground, she fought a bit to pull herself up.

Managing to hold herself steady on solid ground, Siku's attention fell on Kijibwa. Eyeing him for a moment, her emotion seemed unreadable, only to be seen as amusement when she burst into hysterical laughter. Trying to hold some of her hysterics in, Siku shook her own fur dry, resulting in a fluffed coat all over. Laugh fading away, she nodded in agreement to Kijibwa's last statement.

"True.. and, I suppose that was a pretty grand entrance, wouldn't you agree?" She added, closing her eyes with a romanticizing smile on her face.

"It's the perfect way to start a visit to the jungle."

Kijibwa gives Siku a playful glare when she stares at him and then bursts out laughing. He gives himself another quick shake to dispell any more water from his coat, then settles onto the ground beside the waterfall. Now he has to try to get his mane and fur all un-fluffy! Atleast he needed a bath with or without the ambush.

"I 'spoze," he replies through a tongue-full of one of his paws. He moves the paw back and wiggles his toes to check for sand. At her last comment, though, Kiji looks up and smiles at Siku.

"Perfect," he repeats.

Fin.
