Ivydoll ChibiDuo ...Nobody ever bothered to answer in the series why Quatre is apparently Arabian and yet he's one of the most Aryan boys I've ever seen ninja mrgreen Quatre's character is based on the legendary Lawrence of Arabia. T.E Lawrence was an English boy, an Oxford graduate, who became the 'Prince of Mecca.' He was five-foot-three and had blue eyes; his blonde hair and fair skin where trademarks of Scandinavian blood. When Lowell Thomas wrote of him in "With Lawrence in Arabia" (1924, 1952, 1961 printings), he was first introduced to Thomas Edward Lawrence, it was as "The Uncrowned King of Arabia." He played a more-than-significant role in building the new empire. He united the nomadic tribes and peace and rebuilt the war-torn Arabian country area. He was soft-spoken and rather shy, but relentlessly brilliant. He held himself quietly, but everyone who ever met him saw him as a prince. biggrin Sorry to ramble on, but I LOVE T.E Lawrece and Quatre. sweatdrop heart There's a gorgeous Quatre pic that's all Lawrence of Arabia style out there and I believe it is official art! *must find it* Awesome post ^_^

Cool pictures. I'm actually working on making a model of my own Sandrock upgrade design with that kind of cloak, but it looks like it's going to be a little bit of work...

In the movie, if Marte Maya (sp?) is Treize's daughter and her last name is Barton. How the heck does that work out?

Shining_paladin In the movie, if Marte Maya (sp?) is Treize's daughter and her last name is Barton. How the heck does that work out? Mariemaia is the daughter of Treize and Leia Barton, the daughter of Dekim and sister of the "real" Trowa Barton. Since Leia and Treize did not marry, Mariemaia uses her mother's last name.

Ok here's a question (probably without an answer. If some of these are official (and are obviously very cool) why didnt they actually use some of this art style for Quatre in the show crying Might have been easier to believe he's Arabian then. ninja

That was the Sanc Kingdom arc. He was headed to the Maganac base to retrieve the rebuilt Sandrock so he could defend the Kingdom.

The train attack happened near the Middle East, and Duo ended up nearby by coincidence. Quatre found him and invited him along.
