Prodigious_girl KirliaEmi LonelyShaman Prodigious_girl LonelyShaman Well... I kinda think Opacho IS a boy. But in Japan Opacho is a girl. So I i've ben trying to get used to Opacho being a girl. Which is odd beacuse I like the dub American verson of SK better than the original.(I gess the manga kinda wears off on me...) Anyway... Since chan can be boy or girl... It would be Opacho-Chan! ^_^ Poor Opacho must be more confused than we are! *Hugs Opacho* Nope, it would be Opacho-kun...because he's younger than you. ((Which really confuses me...because in Fruits Basket Tohru calls Kyo "Kyo-kun" but I'm sure Kyo is older than her...Hmmmm...^^;; Well he's certainly TALLER than her, that's for sure.)) Anyway, you'd use -chan for Opacho if he was your age. But I thought that u used kun if it was a guy and Opachos a girl... *Head explodes* Before I get more confused... Which is it? Kun or chan? -chan = girl, -kun = boy. I'm sure Yoh's older than Manta, but Manta calls him Yoh-kun. -chan is for BOTH boys and girls. And yes, you're right, Yoh IS older than Manta...BUT Manta has lived in his area longer than Yoh. I'm not sure, but that might have something to do with it. <.< >.> Just a guess. ANYWAY...: "-chan" is a more affectionate term, used mainly with friends, family members and children. "-kun" is usually reserved for boys or young men, but can sometimes be used for girls or young women too. Therefore, we'd called Opacho...Opacho-kun! :3Okay... So originaly... I was right!!

chan = "suffix for familiar (female) person" kun = "Mr (junior) (suf), master, boy"
That's what I got.

KirliaEmi chan = "suffix for familiar (female) person" kun = "Mr (junior) (suf), master, boy" That's what I got. Master is -sama whether they're female, male, young or old. :3 or you could use -dono, though it's not as powerful as -sama.
in simple
-kun (young boy) -chan (familiar boy and/or girl)
:3 -chan CAN be used for boys too!! XD Or else the phrase "Oni-chan" wouldn't exist! I've also seen -chan be used for boys in mangas such as Fruits Basket.

If you're a girl, you can call him -chan or -kun! (**He told me: "Girls can do whatever the hell they want. Boys can't.**)
