Hm...a bunch of us seem to come on really late at night, (depending on where you live. On the east coast here, you'll find a bunch of us starting around 10 and 11 PM or later...those times get progressively earlier the further west you go) other than that we pop in and out randomly. Middle of the day sometimes.

I've spoken to Tavin, and I'd like to get everyone's input on it, whether they think it's a decent Idea, or simply a waste of time.
The Brink is extremely convenient for us in that we can easily pop in and out, and our threads are designed locationally, so that we can keep actions in a specific area. It creates less confusion when multiple groups are RPing, and I personally like the set up.
However, when you're trying to read the brink, to see what's transpired, it can be as confusing as hell. People pop between the main room and the guest rooms, or the main room and the library, or the main room and another time. and it can often be confusing where one session ends and another begins. Here is what I propose.
I will go back, with everyone's permission and add pointers to the dialogue. The pointers will be in blue or some other color to separate them from the actual RP material. Here's an example:
** Enter Bard ** <- a basic entrance, meaning that they've just come from their own timeline.
** Exit Bard, Cora to Guest Rooms/Living Quarters, 5 ** <-- This tells readers that Bard and Cora leave, but their story continues in the Guest Rooms/Living Quarters thread on page 5
** Enter Bard, Cora from Main Room/Bar, 84 ** <-- this states that next section continues from the story already in progress in Main Room/Bar on page 84
** Exit Bard ** This indicates that the character has vanished back to their own time or at least out of the RP.
I tried this a little this morning while RPing. It takes very little time to do, but I for one think it would make the entrances and exits of our characters a bit clearer.
I have no objections to going back and adding this commentary, if none of you object to me editting your posts, but I'd like to know whether you like the idea or whether you think it's a waste of time.
Tavin also said that he will not force anyone to use this notation if they don't want to use it. If you want to begin adding this notation to your entrances and exits, that's wonderful. If you'd like to not worry about it but are okay with me going in and filling it in, that's okay too. If you don't want to use the system at all, then that's okay three.
Let me know what you think!

Selurnis Does anyone come on during the day...? I really can't make these 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning times because of my work and school... crying We sometimes come on during the day, but for the most part, we're all busy with work, school, and other obligations. Your best bet is probably just to make an entrance. If people see you online, they'll come and join you. smile

Hi, I so feel like I'm treading on serious hot coals at the moment. *sighs a little* but I thought it was time I posted an explanation to not being around for so long- as I know the guild deserves an explanation.
This is so going to sound like bickering so I'll make it as short as I can- as I know a lot of people could shoot many of my reasons right back into my face for my absence. Though...please id love it if you didn't judge properly until ive finished this little post, though I also know you have every right to judge me on my lack of commitment.
Unfortunately I'm in my last year of school (year eleven) and at this very time being everything seems to be pilling down on top of me. It has done for weeks on end now, the coursework load keeps getting worse and worse to the extent that ive had to have some time offline pretty often. Just tonight ive got science, maths and media to tackle- and that's without mentioning I also need to go see my grandparents later (which I probably won?t end up doing, yet again).
I really do feel awful at the moment- as I know almost everyone here will have, be going through, or will soon be going through some sort of stress like this. So you all could easily shout back at me that they stayed on throughout it...but...all I can say is sorry for my crimes. And I truly hope I didn't cause any wounds, as if I did they weren't intended, I am feeling dreadful about it and id love to say 'I could hop back in right now'but I can't, and I probably won't be able to until the weekend at the least.
Ive already said sorry to Tavin and he...as always...took it excellently but I wanted to say sorry to the rest of the group as well. Tavin's like a brother to me and I know he cares so much about this guild- and really I do honestly think I should have posted this a lot sooner just as to show some respect for him. I didn't though and it was totally stupid of me.
If you feel that I do need a punishment for being gone for so long- I can totally understand.
I'm so so sorry,I promise I'll try and drag what little left of my Gaia life back into the brink when next i can, Sorry yet again, Robyn
P.s sorry for bickering, and sorry if this offended anyone! I know you also have every right to shout.

You're under a rather strange delusion that we're mad at you.
*hug*
We miss you. We've been wondering where you were, and we'd love to have you back. But everyone knows that real life has to come first.
Do what you have to do, and come back to us when you can. We can be patient. Patience is easy when you're sitting in the eye of eternity.

Hon, you've got nothing to apologize for! We'll be thrilled to see you and play with you again if and when you find the time, but of course you've got to take care of your schoolwork and spend time with your family - that's very important stuff! We'll be here whenever you're able to get back.
Hope all that school stress lessens up for you soon! Take care of yourself, ok? 3nodding

Why would we be mad at you for having troubles in real life? D: We'd never be angry with you for not being able to put The Brink before more important things. <.<
Because, sadly...
The Brink < Real life
;__;
-hugs- I like you Robyn, and I enjoy RPing with you. It sucks that you can't be here, but I completely understand your reasons for not being around. ~_~ There's absolutely no need to be sorry.
I hope things get better soon, so you can come back to us. <3
