Prodigis Predator was also a good series, different to Alien in a way, but I think I prefer Alien. the predators are awesom. there the rastafarien aliens

I loved all of them. I didn't get a chance to see AVP, but I heard it was pretty good. I haven't seen alien in awhile though, so I better refresh my memory...

alot of people hate the idea of something getting inside you and getting violated so, thats why I think a lot of people hate face huggers. Stick to your face, shove something into your mouth, and have an alien burst out of your chest and you die.

I really don't consider it as horror, though most people do. There are some very tense moments (Dallas in the air ducts scene). But I look at it as mostly science fiction.

Actually, it's Horror/Sci-Fi. Remember, movies are blendings of genres. Alien is a Horror movie in a Science Fiction universe. To say Alien isn't a Horror movie is like saying something like Spaceballs isn't a Comedy, it's strictly Science Fiction.

Gunslinger_Harrison Actually, it's Horror/Sci-Fi. Remember, movies are blendings of genres. Alien is a Horror movie in a Science Fiction universe. To say Alien isn't a Horror movie is like saying something like Spaceballs isn't a Comedy, it's strictly Science Fiction. I know, but I'm just saying if you were to specify what one genre it falls into, then I'd say Sci-fi. But yeah, it is horror-sci-fi.

Im more of a Preditor fan myself but the first 2 Alien moves kicked a**. Aliens was always R rated, Predator was always R rated, where the hell did the PG-13 come from in AvP. They ruined the entire thing by puting in antartica, the Predators would barely survive the walk from one of the buildings to the hole that leads to there temple. There are a few other inconsistancys with the predator actions and ablitys in the move, blah. Rent AvP if you like the aliens or predator, but I wouldnt pay the new release price, like I did previously, and Im glad I was too poor to go see it the day it came out.
