I will admit that it was a very unexpected (but not at all unwelcome) side effect. smile [Helmorana] Whoa... That might be a good idea for my mom/grans's garden... I think she energises the water she uses for the garden already, but... I'm not even sure what I'm thinking right now, but it's a good sketch razz

Wow! I read the first page, and there's drummers in this guild! YES! I love drumming, although I'm not very good at it.
As for looping music with your magickal workings, I certainly don't see why it couldn't work. A good friend of mine uses Enya in his meditations. I do once in a while, too. But I can fall into a trance much easier if I play along to this sacred drumming cd I got from the library. It's beautiful, and made for spiritual workings.
I'll see if I can sign the book out again to get you guys the ISBN number and stuff if you want to check it out. ^^

Crap! I was supposed to go to the library today to get a hold on a book I've been waiting for like -ever- for, but mum went to pick it up while I was in school. I'll see if someone can take me tomorrow so I can sign it out again.

Hey,
Just curious as to what element a guitar would be, Jess uspects it would be fire but also thinks of it as water, though like me she can't really decide. She also can't explain how it would be water. It's a string instrument so I guess i could be the same element as a violin, a harp or a double bass however I think that the element would be more based of the sound rather than the way it's played, so I'm not sure.
Any ideas?

i dont think it has an element because of its range i think its omnimental(?) meaning it can go from sounding like gentle rain to invoking a firey blaze.

One of my close friends gave me a CD of a wiccan woman who wrote nine songs, all rushing with power. Some had chants in them, there is one that is a beautiful, almost bardic story about how a young songstress meets a old witch and becomes a wiccan. It's really powerful stuff, and it's definately magical.

I love Enya. Or, I used to, haven't listened to it for a long time now. Very entrancing though. For me, it's usually Burzum. When I listen to his music I can't help but doze off... Very surreal. As for Wiccan/Pagan/Whatever thingies: Inkubus SukkubusThe only song I really liked was Wytches. I like her voice smile The lyrics I tend to ignore cause they're just all wrong. They're very popular amongst "non-conformist" gawths and all that jazz.

Drums usually get me really worked up and energetic. Unfortunately they make my head ache too.

I find music and dance feed energy in a circle. One of the reasons so many Wiccans use chants, drumming and dancing in their circles.
A cd that you might find interesting is "Bones" by Gabrielle Roth. Any of her stuff is good, but Bones is especially good for meditation or to just get yourself moving.

SowiloWitch Hey, Just curious as to what element a guitar would be, Jess uspects it would be fire but also thinks of it as water, though like me she can't really decide. Any ideas? I tend to correlate stringed instruments with Water, seeing as the element can be calm and soothing or feirce and unforgiving xD Fire I stick with drums, and wind instruments with air, obviously. I'm kind of stuck on what to do with Earth though.. xD
