Who is Puffer Fish Vice Captain

When you somehow convinced your BDs(high school and middle) to convince your parents to let you in marching band.
When you actually get songs from band stuck in your head and somehow get them stuck in your band friend's heads.
When, while thinking of taking up another instrument, have realized there is no time to with all the band stuff what with Jazz band, marching, and concert.
When the other instrument you're thinking of taking is not even in concert band...but in symphonic. (violin...eheh)

-when your have had more mouth time with your trumpet than with your girlfreind.
-when your girlfreind is jealous of your trumpet
-when your catch your girlfreind trieng to break your trumpet so that you two can spend more time together
-when you break up with your girlfreind for this reason.

heart -when you love the pain of the first day of band camp.
-when all your non band friends wish marching season was over.
-when you have a nightmarish fear of sabres/rifles/flags.

-when you have a dream where your friend attempted to kill you with her flute...and a few days later your other friend starts attempting to smack you with her oboe case...

-when the marching band director knows your name, even though you're not in marching band('twas the case last year)
-when you've made out with your instrument more than any person.
-when your entire bulletin board is devoted to things you've done in band
-when you have a rather large stack of music in your room containing every piece of music you've played for the last six years.
-I realized it when I was caught carrying all these in my bag and I wasn't even going to band at the time: drill instructions, mouthpiece, flip folder, pencils, directions to a parade that weekend, and a lyre for an instument I don't even play.

1. you got fired from your job cause a band preformance was more important
2. you have graduated high school and everytime you walk some where with someone you have to stay in step; with them
3. you still go to band practices to watch the new band members and you are no longer in band
4. you have hit your self with a color gaurd flag or a drummajor staff
5. yuor instrement breaks and you start to freak out cause compotition is tommorrow and you don't want to use a school horn
6. the only friends you have you met in band
7. the only people you have dated where in band
8. you daydream about still being in the band marching through the halls and preforming at the half time show at the football games
9. you can name every instrument that your band uses on and off the football feild and concert stage
10. you acctualy came up with something to post in here

- When a band rehersal is more important than possibly seeing your grandfather for the last time.
- When you end up in the drumline room every day after school practicing quads, even though you're not on drumline, let alone a quad player.
- When your myspace/facebook default is a picture of you in your marching uniform with your instrument.
- When every single picture on your myspace/facebook has to do with band
- When you seriously look at new instruments on ebay everyday because your own instruments are crappy and you can't afford new ones.

-You would rather die than have your instrument break
-You walk in time with the music you are listening to/have stuck in your head
-You start talking about marching band infront of your non-band friends and they don't understand half of what you are talking about (Too much band jargon! XD)
-You stand at parade rest outside of band without realizing that you are standing like that
-You can sing all of the parts to your current and past marching shows
-When you are with band friends, you all sing your parts to the marching shows you have done
-The only reason you lose friends is because they are not in band
-You have strange tan lines because of band (glove tan, neck strap tan, farmer's tan, shorts tan, sock tan, etc.) and you are not afraid to show them off
-You walk around school using your marching technique without realizing you are doing it
-When you listen to the radio or go to a concert you point out when the singer gets out of tune
-You would gladly get a giant house and live with everyone in band for all of marching season (very convinient [sp] for sectionals)
-Your best memories from high school are ones from band
-You go through marching band withdrawls when marching season is over

-When you spazz every time anyone not percussion is in the percussion section...even if it's your director and you almost shout at him to get out before you realize that he's allowed back there...XD
-You nearly smack your own dad for playing your instruments while you were gone at a fundraiser...(at least he used the right mallets...)

when you cry at your last competition ...ever
when youd rather fall in the mud to protect your instrument from getting dirty and broken
When you look forward to going to three hour practices in the freezing cold, then sitting home and watching tv in the warmth

When you miss the heat-sucking metal of the pit instruments...and the numbness of toes...
When you'd much rather be at a festival on a weekend than at home.
When you finally realize that even though you sorta hate your director, he's still your favourite teacher at the school.
