Neko-cat Electric Roses I'd like to see davros but I'm not convinced it will be him... I'm not entirely convinced either, but I couldn't think of anything else that was Dalek shaped/sized that isn't a Dalek. I'd love it if it's Davros. That's what I screamed at the screen when I heard the line. Was a good episode. I loved the way Mickey was so confident, then it all changed. And Jackie was fantastic, working with the Doctor. Loved the cliffhanger, and the earpods. (My family are a bit slow not noticing those...)

Cow_Demon StrikerShane I think everyone knows this already but to those who haven't: In the Episode the Cybermen said they didn't create the Sphere so who else could of,yep 3nodding the Daleks! I'm guessing the Daleks did too. I mean, that would explain how they escaped Rose's Time Massacre. >.< That was in the future, remember? They went to the future and thats when rose killed them daleks, these daleks made the void ship ages ago I think and got inside to save themselves, before the timelords and most of the daleks were killed. OMFG, I WANNA SEE THE FIGHT BETWEEN THE DALEKS AND CYBERMEN!!! And They Migh Form An Alliance With Each Other!! I Heard a Cyberman say 'Daleks And Cybermen, We Could Upgrade The Universe, Together' AWESOME! Despite that werid dude who hated that episode, I LOVED IT!

Sheesh this is going to get me metaphorically kicked but...
I actually agree with Jettrick about this episode. Most of the stuff he's said about Torchwood I agree with and as far as the Daleks and Cybermen - well - I just think that they had some good opportunities and wasted them.
Sorry. I just hope the next episode changes my mind. I'd hate to end the series feeling disappointed.

I am... well... stunned.
Yeah, I hated Torchwood. I'm just hoping Jack's branch it better. ^^ Or maybe they get cool once this current Torchwood is screwed.
I think I noticed something no one else did. biggrin
In the beginning, when Rose is narrating it, she sounded like she did when the Time Vortex was in her. You know, how her voice is all echoey-ish. That's what it sounded like to me... although I am watching it on the computer. What're your thoughts on that?
I already knew it was the Daleks thanks to the Dalek ray gun in the preview for this episode. But I had no idea a truce might be coming.. HOMG! But yeah.
As soon as I saw the actual Torchwood ear pieces, I started freaking out. I thought they were all already controlled. And I knew instantly which universe it just HAD to be! w00t! And with Cybermen... there must be Mickey! biggrin
I am very excited to see Jake and Rose's dad again. I wonder how Jackie will react to seeing her nothusband, and how he will react to see his notwife. That'll be interesting. Maybe they'll hook up once the war is over, if they survive. Because he works steady like she wanted, and she's not stuck up like he wanted. True love... at last?
The climax was good. What's this Ark thing... ? Is that in some old episode? Because it's reminding me of Indiana Jones right now. DO NOT OPEN OR GOD WILL SMITE YOU! Maybe if they open it the Doctor aka Lonely God will be able to kill them?
I'm predicting Rose and the Vortex merge again... or something. And she's able to fix everything. But there will probably be something else that happens before that. I dunno, maybe she'll remember what happened last time. But this time, obviously, she wont be coming back.
What I REALLY hope happens is that Rose merges with Vortex, fixes everything, and then is able to kind of watch over the Doctor. And maybe she will end up going back to him somehow. With her memory erased! :COUGH:Fallen:COUGH: < --- SG1 Or something. How else would she survive being Bad Wolf again unless she forgot like last time? Because I, for one, always desperatley wanted there to be this cool reunion scene between Rose and the Doctor and Jack. Maybe she also kind of watches over Jack (okay, that's from a ff I read). Because it was mentioned that she might make some kind of guest appearance in Seriese 3. Maybe it will be a flashback, a past self, an alternate reality self, or her emerging from the Vortex?
One can only hope... and bow down to the writers.

We should probably not discuss stuff from the trailer here, since some people (Warnersister... razz ) actually avoided watching it because they didn't want to be spoiled next week. I suggest we keep trailer discussion in the new Official Doomsday thread (thanks Sepik).
Anyway, my thoughts:
I loved this episode a lot. Much better than Rise of the Cybermen. Unlike UNIT, Torchwood is an entirely British entity, and for the benefit of the British Empire. Empire... somehow, I think this is something they'll be getting back to in the 3rd season... Doctor Who vs. the empire of the Wolf.
I originally disliked the idea of the Daleks coming back so soon, but so far I think it's been handled well. Granted, they were only on the screen for like 3 seconds, but their appearance didn't feel as bizarre as in Bad Wolf (the Daleks manipulating the human race with reality TV... say what?!). In fact, I'm quite interested in seeing where this all leads. And the Cybermen were much better this time... no more dorky marching in unison! That scene where the Cybermen bust into that house and seize that family... gonk
Random comments: 1. The Doctor singing the Ghostbusters song was cringe-worthy. Ugh. 2. Every time I saw that Torchwood lady, I kept thinking... she's not wearing a bra, is she? 3. The Doctor is sorry, so sorry yet again! Is he going to apologize to everyone in the friggin' universe?! 4. Darn that psychic training!

When he said he had psychich training I had a few thoughts...
1. Haha! Rose, you're screwed. ^^ 2. Wait... Jack could do that, too. This reaffirms the theory that the Time Agency was originally Torchwood, or branched away from it.
The Ghostbusters thing made me laugh SO hard. I've seen all the movies. I was just waiting for a giant marshmellow to come and get them.
But what the heck was with the 3-D glasses? Those have never worked well for me...

If that were the case, I suppose a Jack stuck in present-day London would know how to get himself into Torchwood. I was hoping the sphere would open up and reveal some 3D Daleks. Ah, well, maybe next episode...

3-D Daleks? :GASPETH:
Now THAT'S impossible.
wink
Yeah, but the more I think about it the more it makes sense that Torchwood and the Time Agency have something to do with eachother. And references to Torchwood span all across time. So either it lasts a really long time or it's placed in different places by random references Time Agents might make to other people that non-time traveleing people might name stuff after.

This may seem as welcome as my usual rants always are around here but why for heaven's sake if the people of Earth have been conned into believing the ghosts are lovely and even hooking up with them in one (genius) case did they all turn tail and start running around screaming when the cybermen emerged? Are robots somehow less acceptable than ghosts on the streets of London? I mean it's not like they actually knew the cybermen are out to kill them. Until they all did, granted. Maybe if they'd just invited them in for a cup of tea and a nice sit down and a biscuit all this could have been avoided. Also what was with the cyberman's voice? I wasn't a huge fan of it last time but...was he a cyber-liuetenant or something? Cause the one the doctor talked to sounded weird :3
PS. That's it Roobarb, come to the dark side >=D

I will say one major plus for this episode - it got my whole family (and several of my neighbours) argueing about what's going to happen next episode. And what should have happened in this one.

I loved it when he was talking about Jackie's tea.
"Well, she's not that bad. Well, when I say not bad." That was great. I loved the part where Jackie was pretending to be Rose.

But he said 'The Eternals called it Howling." Maybe they died in the Time War? Maybe the writers just thought that 'eternals' sounded cool and stuck it in... ^^ I wouldn't put it past them. I do hope they explain who they are in a later episode. But are they in an older episode I just don't know about? (I've only seen nine and ten.)
