Chiemi shrugged, she saw the point and yet remained with what she had initially said. "My Gramps has trained me for five years, I haven't improved that greatly... He says that I'll be a moderate fighter, genin or chuunin-leveled... Besides, how do you know how far I can go? You haven't even seen me do anything..."
She somewhat lightened up, a spark of interest and emotion flaring back into her blood-red eyes, "Are you... serious?"
"I want to be a good ninja... But, it's harder then that. You can't just believe in yourself and you'll suddenly get there... It's just never worked like that. Perhaps for you, but never me."

Kinami nodded. "Like I said before, your grandpa's an old geezer. If you weren't any good as a ninja, you wouldn't have caught that UFU. But you are, and you did, and I don't care if I haven't seen you fight. I'll make it work somehow. Keep in mind, I'm the one who assigns levels and everything.
"As for my ninja levels, I'm deadly serious. Hard work can put people through everything. Believing helps, and hard work even more so, but you have to have the attitude before you can gain the skills. That's that, and I won't have any ninja in my ranks saying otherwise." She stared around the circle to make sure people got her drift.
Then she turned her attention back to Sarara. Sheepishly, she rubbed the back of her head. "What can I say? It was the only thing in my hand at the time."

"Inspiring speech Onee-sama." Sararin smiled impishly. If there's anyone that can give a good instant speech, it's her. "Yeah, trust me, she's serious. And hasn't let me forget it... But I know how you feel. I had to train hard too. I know I'm not going to even reach jounin, but that's not the point. You've trained hard. I've seen you in the Academy. You're spirit's just as inspirational as her speeches." she said, pointing to the Kage.

Kinami blushed. "That's not...I mean, that is...I...Oh, cat dirt. I hate making speeches, yet I end up making that. Cat dirt, cat dirt, cat dirt." She immediately started to shovel more food into her mouth, not caring that the combinations might be a bit disturbing to the rest of the group.

"That old geezer was the only reason why I even managed to catch that fork... I suppose he gets some credit for that, that and practically everything I know." She sighed again.
"Hard work makes the best ninja. That's my Gramp's favorite quote, he always shouts it to me and says I'm not working hard enough. Heh heh..." She hated this subject, she wanted to change the topic, especially with everyone watching her.

Kinami smirked. "The old geezers got nothing on me. But, hey, why aren't you eating? Your food is getting stone cold." She polished off the final bit of dolphin and sat back with a sigh.

She sighed and slipped under the table again.

She polished off the final bit of dolphin and sat back with a sigh. Chiemi suddenly perked and her eye twitched. "What? My food was there? Why didn't anyone tell me!? Whaaa!!!" In a blurr of awkward motions, Chiemi was back up in her seat, shoving her face. She was always hungry, for being a such a young, small girl, she had an awfully large appetite and matabelism.

She jog-hobbled to Chiemi's chair again, hauling her up. "Do I need to nail your butt to that chair?" she said stearnly. "And you're not over-experienced now. I probably wouldn't have seen myself either."

Kinami smiled at Chiemi's antics. "I told you. Just a little later than you thought...."
She watched Sararin for a moment. There was something decidedly awkward about her, not to mention depressed. "Sarara, you know that you aren't supposed to threaten the younger kids. You might scare them!" She smiled foolishly.

"And this coming from the person who threw a fork at them. Sure." she replied going back again. She smiled happily as she drank her sake. She started to chow down as well.

Kinami shrugged, ignoring Chiemi's glare. She had recieved worse. "Oi, I can't help it. They should watch for Unidetified Flying Utensils themselves. They're incredibly rare, too," she said with a straight face.

She drank the last of her sake and finished her curry. "Well, I'm done!"
"The only reason that happens is because you're the only one throwing them!"
