Suddenly Chaleha found very little to say."Nice night for an outting." She stated simply.Becoming interested in the stallion. There were many questions to ask,but she could not, because she wondered what he was like in personality. So she waited for him to begin.

Eloran bobbed his head at the stallion. "Eloran, and I wouldn't mind some company on this lovely night." He settled himself on Chaleha's other side from the dark stallion, careful not to come between them. He honestly did enjoy the company, even that of a lukewarm companion.
His gaze turned to the rising moon, off to one side, and he nickered at the mare's comment. "Oh, I agree. One of those mild nights, when you can just imagine saytrs dancing on the soquili meadow and the unicorn soquili sneaking out to join them." He turned to flash an amiable grin at the other two for his fanciful thoughts.

Chaleha brightened at the flight of fancyful thoughts from a stallion. All the ones she knew had heart complications of some form. This one had stories and tales. She liked him,for that.To her otherside, she felt Rahu stiffen, then relax a bit.Suddenly she wondered if the best place for her, really was between them.

Rahu flicked his tail and listen to both. he was never one to be talkative and continued to watch the stars for a moment. " mmmhmm it is a mild night tonight. but a nice mild one at that." was all he said more to himself than both Eloran and Chaleha.

Chaleha laughed after a few moments of silence. It was a nervous laugh, but it filled the silence about them."I dreamt the other night I was flying, even higher than the winged Soquili."She paused and quickly said,"Then a great owl woke me with his callings."She wondered to her great pleasure what they would say about such a dream.

Eloran turned his gaze to the softly glowing grasses at his hooves. "That seems a most pleasant dream, although I am not sure I myself would like to soar higher than the clouds." But even as he spoke, it was clear his mind was on something else.
After a moment of quiet, he went on. "Not long ago I dreamed all soquili shunned me. But through the crowds of the disdainful, one soquili came towards me, shining brightly. I could not look straight at this one, so brightly was their light. Beside this one was another, but smaller. Not a soquili, but a familiar of the four-legged kind. It was then that I woke." He glanced at the other two with only mild unease. He didn't want them to dislike him either, like in the dream... but generally what others thought didn't bother him.

It took Chaleha a moment to understand what all he had said, and to think it over."Oh,I would not let others bother me like that.I see many who seem to shun me,onlt they seem to have alot of drama going on.I myself like to keep things simple,if possible."Then she thought of the drama that had entered her life.Shaking her mane she refused to think of such things on a night such as they had.All the stars and the moon were out to put on their celestial show.Chaleha liked to talk to this stallion. He was interesting and as yet not so tempermental.

He snorted amusement at her. "Oh aye, I don't normally let what others htink ruffle my own feelings. I'd rather they think badly of me for being myself than think well of me for being what I am not." He nodded contentedly at this small piece of wisdom. "That is why the dream was so strange for me. I am sure there is a meaning in there somewhere, but I have yet to discover it." He leaned and grabbed a mouthful of grass thoughtfully. He chewed until his bite was done, then concluded, "But I shall continue to mull on it. I'm sure it will eventually become clear."
He turned his attention to the mare and smiled. "Have you ever wanted to have wings as some soquili do, and to fly among the birds?" A flick of his ear was the only indication of his sudden thought of how not necessarily fun it would be to be in the air with Jaden, Delphia's smart-alec hawk. He let out a breath in a very muffled chortle. That bird was somethign else, to be sure.

"Flight, like the birds?" She felt as if he had read her mind.Shaking the feeling she admitted,"I have always wondered about flight. And dearly wish at times I had wings.I have talked with several of them, who have wings."She paused to look at him,to see if he was even interested in her conversation,Thinking he was she continued,"But they do not talk about flight, not to me." The scent of the sweet graze growing at her feet became over whelming, and she took a bite of it. As she ate she turned to look at the little white mark on her side."I think I was marked for wings, but I never got them."

Rahu had stay very quite the whole time just listening to the both of them talk. he then chuckled to himself a little as they talk, then shook his head. finding he id not mind looking at the stars and listening to the two talk, he kept staying shilent unless one of them said something directly at him.

Eloran grabbed another mouthful of grass and listened while she talked. His ears canted forward and he watched her intently, thinking about what she said. He nodded his head, dropping bits of grass unnoticed, when she mentioned that those with wings did not dicuss flight. Swallowing, he replied, "Perhaps it is something only those who share the ability can understand. Or perhaps they feel it is what sets them apart, and thus they keep it private." He shrugged his large shoulders in ignorance. "I would not know."
When she mentioned the mark on her side, he leaned close and peered at it closely, huffing lightly as if to see if it somehow would divulge the secret as to why she had not receieved wings. "That is very curious. I must admit, I have not seen a marking like that on anyone else, wings or no wings." He blew gently once more on it and raised his head. "I wish I had an answer for you. But at least you can fly in your dreams." He smiled warmly. "A wonderfully safe place to do something that surely must be a bit frightening in full daylight, I'd think."
He had kept only a small part of his attention on the nearly silent black stlalion, but had come to accept that he must be content with the arrangement, for he had not moved away nor seemed restless. Instead, the dark soquili merely stared at the stars and listened. Or he would assume he was listening. But since it was the mare who seemed interested in conversing, the entire rest of his focus was completely on her. It was nice to have a friendly chat with someone with interesting things to talk about.

Two things amazed Chaleha, one a stallion who enjoyed talking, and second a stallion who enjoyed listening.Actually if she had thought of it,two stallions in the same place, but she did not think of it that way. Busy thinking out all that had been said in the course of her conversation with Eloran, she felt calm and content to just talk all night. Rahu seemed perfectly content so she did not try to drag him into the conversation. But she certainly wondered if he had dreams, and what they might consist of. "Perhaps they do have a big secret and they don't want us to know what it is like to fly.Or if we were supposed to fly,we would have wings." She thought she heard Rahu grunt, but she could not be sure, and it was ever so slight.

Rahu had only grunted softly as they talked of dreams. when he then heared them talk of secrets and flying it caught his interest alittle. " hmmm maybe but then maybe they just like keeping certain things to themselfs. i know i keep alot of things about myself a secret but then thats me. but then not all keep secerts." was all he commented with a smirk and went back to looking at the stars.

Eloran nodded solemnly at the other stallion's input. "True, true... I wonder if they all feel the same about it, though?" He couldn't help it... he kept glancing at Chal's wing-mark, as he was coming to think of it. It's paleness against the orangey glow of her hide was compelling. He strove to distract himself.
"If they do feel just like keeping to themselves, though, we should honor that wish, I think." He mused for a moment quietly, feeling the earth shift slowly beneath him and the stars minutely swirl above, so intense was his thought. "We all have parts of ourselves that we do not wish to share with just anyone. We either hope never to reveal these thigns to anyone at all, or we hope to someday meet the one whom we can share it all with, and with them alone." He surprised himself with that thought. Was this so with him? Was he waiting for someone to share his deepest self with? This definitely bore more thought.

Rahu chuckled. " your mostly one of the few who would say such a thing. some would decide to pry at those who choose to keep secrets and keep to them selfs." he then snorted as Eloran talked of waiting for the one who you could trust with such secrets and it made himself think back of when things happened between him and aruna. but it was only a bitter thought and quickly got rid of it. he was over her and she was over him, there was nothign between them and he would never let himself get into such a thing again.
