*just finished watching it...*

i think they portrayed the GLBTness just fine... i'm glad that i got to see it though! *is listening to La Vie Boheme*

I loved Rent. All of the characters were great. Roger was my favorite since I loved how his songs had so much passion. My favorite song is "One Song Glory". It is truly an awesome movie/musical!

I don't know what Mark's sexuality is, is he straight or is he bi? cause he would make a really cute bi character! O.o you have raised an interesting point, but if I had to guess I would say straight, both because of his jewish background and because there's no indication of relationships of that kind between him and another man. He and Roger ,I think that's his name, would make such a cute couple together! But neither is gay or bi so yea... sweatdrop

It funny because I told the same thing to my friend when she told me that thsi guy in our school asked her boyfriend out but her boyfriend said no because he was dating her so I told her why don't they have a threesome but then that be kind of akward because the guy was guy the boyfriend bi and I don't know what she is but she's probably bi but I'm not sure cause nobody really mentions it.

I thought the movie was a really good way to slowly introduce society into the lives of all sexualities.
It is and will always be one of the greatest movies I've have ever seen.

I don't think Angel was a transvestite. Just a crossdresser...but anyway...I LOVE RENT. :]] And I'm going to see the play this May in Seattle!!!

LeSange SarahArden They've got a transvestite, a gay & lesbian, a bisexual, and some straight people. I understand why Maureen (bisexual) was made out as the sluttiest one. It is a common misconception that bisexuality = promiscuity. Still it bothered me that they were drawing upon that stereotype...
How did you feel about how LGBTQ people were represented in the movie Rent? Angel isn't a transvestite, she's a drag queen. See, transvestites fancy women emo
