"Kitty VEWY hungry!" Alex agreed, making the cat frolic about happily after it finished it's meal. "Funfun Kajiku!!"
Feather's attention was suddenly caught by her watch, chiming away madly. "Five o'clock...holy...I'm so sorry, Jadaria! Kashimi! Kajika! I've gotta take Alex home now...I'm afraid I put a chicken in the oven a few hours ago and if I don't tend to it soon, it'll burn down the whole complex! We'll have to schedule another play date in the near future!"
She bowed quickly, swept Alex into her arms, and sped out the door.
"KAJIIIKU!!" Alex whined, a defiant tear streaming down his face. His kitty plushie was still at Kajiku's house!
'Til next time...
((I figured you will probably be questing soon, so I don't want to interfere with the process. xd We'll have to pick this up again! :3))

((Alright, dear. :3))
"Oh... Well it was nice of you to visit, dear!" Jadaria laughed, then blinked at a little tug on her ankle when the two disappeared. "Yes, Kaji?"
"Awex weft kittie..." Kajika picked up the plush, waving it at Jada. "He be shad, won' heee?"
"Oh! Dear... That's what he was yelling about... Oh..." She scooped up the toddler and the plush. "We'll take good care of that and make sure that it doesn't get lost, okay? You can give it to him next time, yes?"

Written in a little blue book... May 20. 2005: 6:17PM
Ugh. I'm sick. How awful! That's why I haven't written until now - taking care of a wee one and yourself at the same time is very stressful. Especially when you're trying to keep him from getting whatever you're infected with. Which I don't know what that is, but... eh.
Alex left a plush over here... I need to get it back to him. I put it up so Kaji can't tear it apart by accident, but he doesn't seem to mind. He has enough toys, I suppose. He has been bugging me to play with somebody... I had to explain sickness to him...
Poor little one. He was so cute, though. He's so concerned about me, now, even though I tell him I'll be fine. He's really a sweet boy... Very kind. I hope he stays that way.

Still so sick... Can't breathe right, can't function right... I'm thankful I have Lucien to take care of Kajika. Poor little baby... I feel so awful, getting sick like this, and not being to take care of him properly.
Can't write long... my lungs hurt too much... I'm giving this over to Lucien to write in while I'm ill.
Poor Jadaria. She's really sick. She's been running a high fever, and we really can't let her around Kajika. I think little bro's gonna be traumatized or something... He's been really, REALLY mope-ish since she took to bed. It's really kind of weird, actually; I guess he's gonna be a majour momma's boy. Or mim's boy, in his case.
I tried to entertain him, but he just won't smile.

Quest TimeA small letter from the Project is inside your mailbox today ! To Jadaria Hello Jadaria,
First of all get better soon, I heard you're having a terrible fever. After all we thought that it might by time for little Kaji to do a sort of quest. It already helped some of the children to grow and it will probably help him as well.
Please teach him how to do a children puzzle and probably involve another child of your choice. Either ask an Eden guardian and it's little one or simply someone else. It should help him to become more patient and get more social contact.
Wish you all the best
~Lena [ Please follow the quest rules while doing this. As mentioned you don't need to buy an item, you can also describe or draw it on your own. You have to work on this quest for at least one week time now and you should make at least four entries about it. ]

Lucien picked the letter out of the mailbox, crinkling his nose at it. The urge to open it washed over him, but that was rather impossible. Kajika wriggled under one arm, giggling and making noises happily as he pretended to fly. Even though he'd never really be able to, he, like most little kids, loved to pretend.
"Here, Kaji... play with Kash for a minute. Hey bird! Entertain him. Mim's got a letter." The tiger-man turned his back as the Nightmare swooped down to entertain the toddler, which was promptly followed by enthusiastic squealing. A claw pulled across the top of the envelope, ripping it easily, and he pulled the note out. He scanned over it, tail swishing across the floor.
"A puzzle...? Eh, whatever makes them happy..." He snorted, then set the letter down on the coffee table. He flopped onto the couch, watching Kajika hop after Kashimi as the bird skittered about in circles. The boy giggled gleefully, temporarily distracted from the constant sulk of the day before.
Jadaria was still sick.... Her fever had gone down, but her cough had gotten worse. She was spending her time in bed, now, voluntarily quarantining herself from the child so as to not get him sick.
She'd finally fallen asleep... He'd bother her later, when she woke.
((It is likely I'll make more than one post a day on this until I pull someone else in; I really am sick, and can only sit and type so much before I start getting a headache. ^_^; ))

Lucien sighed softly, staring at the computer screen blankly. He'd been searching for hours - HOURS! - but with no luck. None of the puzzles he'd found had attracted Kaji's attention... probably because the boy couldn't hold them, feel them... Toddlers tended to be very, very feel oriented, after all. A screen didn't seem real to him at all...
"I guess we'll just have to go... ugh... shopping..." The tiger-man sighed, shaking his head and bouncing his little brother on his knee lightly, making him giggle. "Oh how I hate that, though... I guess it's for the best, but ng. Maybe Jada will be up to a trip in a day or two..."
"Puz-puz! Shopppeeeeng? Wassat?"
"I'll tell you later, okay...?"

((Have to apologize for the slowness. sweatdrop I've been trying to catch up on my shop work, which is a pain in the butt. Heh. ._.;; )) "Which one do you like, Kaji?" Lucien held the little boy in his arms, looking at a wall of various puzzle boxes; they had been shopping most of the day, and they'd finally come to a little hole-in-the-wall shop that specialized in puzzles. The tiger-man wondered why he'd never seen the shop before, but... then again, he usually didn't SHOP for puzzles. Not that it mattered now - all that mattered was getting Kajika to pick something that he liked; the bags of gifts that Jada had ordered were getting heavy, and he really just wanted to go HOME... "Puz-puzzeeee..." Kajika bounced, wriggled, then waved at the wall. "Colowfuuuullll...!" He giggled happily, then pursed his lips and seemed to be thinking very hard. There were too many to choose from! How would he be able to decide...!?"Hon, if you don't choose one soon, I'll choose one for you.""NOOOO!" Kajika squealed, kicked his legs, then began to squirm angrily. He couldn't let his brother pick, could he? With a whine, he shut his eyes and pointed a finger at the wall, sniffling.
"Dat onnee...""Hmm... This one?" Lucien picked up the box, then chuckled. "Nice choice, kiddo..." Shaking his head, the headed towards the counter to buy it. The cover held this picture: [[I tried a million times to make it look like a puzzle... and failed. xD;; So I decided to do the cover instead. Heh. ^_^;;]]

Kajika Meets Narrin BlackWingedJada: Lucien set the boy down, patting his head lightly. The tiger-man smiled sweetly, scritching at the top of his adopted brother's head, tail swishing; He knelt beside him, glancing around at the other tots that had been dropped at the nursery. "You're gonna stay here for a little while, okay, Kaji? I'll be right back to get you. Mim's gotta be checked in, so I have to leave you. But I'll be RIGHT back..." "Mimmy... Mimmy be okee, Luc...?" The little darkskinned boy lifted his eyes worriedly, clinging to the other's arm. "Mimmy's gonna be fine, Kaji, but I have to go now... Be nice and play with some of the other kids, okay?" And with that, he pulled away, leaving a sniffling toddler behind to wonder what in the world was going on, and WHY he was being left alone in a strange place?! Arri Boiz: Narrin was sitting in the corner of the room, completely seperated from the rest of the children. He was playing a game with himself, though his entire body was shaking softly with stifled coughing. An IV stand was next to him, and suspended in it was a bag of fluid, running down some long, clear tubing ending at his arm. He looked a little sad, taking short glances to the other children now and then, and sighing before going back to his game. BlackWingedJada: Kajika fidgeted a little bit, then looked around at the other children. They all seemed to be involved in something... Playing games with each other, not paying attention to him. Except for that one boy in the corner; what was wrong with him? What was that THING in his arm? Curiously, Kajika pulled himself to his feet. He didn't walk, however - he hopped, rather like a little frog. Hop by hop, he made himself over to the lonely child. He hadn't been around enough yet to realize that there was something wrong with him... The only thing he realized was that the person reminded him somewhat of how him Mim had looked. Only... with a thing in his arm. Arri Boiz: He heard someone approaching, and turned his head to look at him, smiling softly. He didn't know what this one wanted, but he wasn't scary, and he didn't hurl insults at him, or ignore him like the other kids did. "H....hi." BlackWingedJada: Kaji crouched near the boy, bouncing up and down in place. He offered a wide smile, then pointed at the clear tubes going into the boy's arm. "Wassat?" he asked, with the pure, simple, honest curiosity only available from a child. He'd never seen IVs before, so how could he be expected to know? Arri Boiz: The boy smiled a little at him, and turned around, looking at him. He was nice-looking, so he figured he might as well tell him what he knew. "It's stuff to keep me breathing right." BlackWingedJada: "Y'can't bweath wight?" His little lisp perked up again - he could speak alright, just... some of the noises didn't form right, yet. "Wah noot..?" He crinkled his nose, confused at the prospect. Arri Boiz: Narrin shrugged, and coughed. It sounded like it hurt him. He blinked ,and shook his head quickly to clear it. He hadn't expected another to come talk to him and stay this long. "I dunno.... the doctors say I have to have this... What's your name?" BlackWingedJada: "Ooo... Kajika. Mim calls me Kaji." The dark-haired boy flopped into a sitting position, holding his feet and swaying side to side. "Who're you?" He lifted his eyebrows in curiosity. Arri Boiz: Narrin coughed more, shaking near-uncontrollably before the fit passed, and he was able to breathe again. "I'm Narrin... the doctors call me Nari." BlackWingedJada: "Nawii?" The lisp again; he smiled widely, though the expression faultered at the coughing. "Y'gon' be okay...? Whatchoo doin' ovah hewe bah y'self...?" He glanced back at all the other children, then focused on Narrin again. Arri Boiz: Narrin calmed himself, still trembling softly. He was strawberry blonde, with soft gray eyes, and very, very pale skin - near white. He looked over at the other children, and a tear slipped down his face. "They don't like me." BlackWingedJada: "Wah not?" Kaji frowned at the crying - he seemed nice, he shouldn't be so sad! He reached up and wiped, rather clumsily, at the tear, something he'd learned from his guardian, one of those things he assumed everyone did. "Y'seem nice t'me..." Arri Boiz: He shivers, and coughs again. "They think... they think I'm gonna make them sick like me." BlackWingedJada: Eyes widening, a little bit of fear crept into the boy's eyes - he didn't want to be sick like that! "C'n they get sick from you....?" Arri Boiz: He shakes his head, and starts up the shivering again. "Nobody can catch what I got." BlackWingedJada: "Well wah dun y'tell them that...?" He lifted his eyes, the fear gone. If it wasn't contagious, well, then... Why treat him like somthing icky? "You a nice kid, I t'ink..." Arri Boiz: "I did..." He lowers his head, and breaks into another coughing fit, holding up a ball to Kaji. "Play?" BlackWingedJada: Kaji smiled happily, then nodded, holding his hands out for the ball. "I play wif' you... Pway catch?" He bounced up and down a time or two. He'd only really played with a ball a couple of times; usually he played with his ploosh collection, or with Lucien. Arri Boiz: He nods a bit, and turns to face Kaji, tossing him the ball gently, and giggling. BlackWingedJada: He caught the ball, then smiled and giggled happily as well, tossing it back to him just as gently. He'd already been scolded for throwing things too hard, so... Arri Boiz: He caught it, and tossed it back, coughing hard, and doubling over in pain, whimpering softly. BlackWingedJada: Kaji popped up, hopping over closer to the boy. "Y'okay? You want me t'get an'one..?" he asked, kindness and concern natural for him, even though... he didn't know WHAT was wrong with Narrin. Arri Boiz: He shakes his head, and straightens, wiping a bit of blood away with the back of his left hand. BlackWingedJada: Eyes widening, Kaji backed up a foot or so. He couldn't help it - he'd never... well, he'd never seen blood before. He couldn't help it if he was a little scared of it... "Y'sure...?" Arri Boiz: He nods, and looks down. "If you wanna go away like the rest did, you can." BlackWingedJada: "No... I dun wanna... I sowwy... S'just a lil scawy, y'know...?" He scooted back over, arms pulled up to his chest nervously. "Bu' I stay over hewe.." Arri Boiz: He shivers a little more, and closes his eyes for a moment. "M'tired... will you watch me if I nap? So the others don't hurt me?" BlackWingedJada: "Mmmhmm... I sit here wif you..." Kaji smiled kindly, letting his arms drop slightly. Arri Boiz: He curls up, with his back against the wall, and closes his eyes. The change is near-immediate. He calms, and drifts off into sleep within moments. His breathing sounds harsh and uhealthy - but he's asleep. BlackWingedJada: Kaji plopped down, sighing a little. He found the breathing disturbing, but... well... At least the boy was getting to sleep, right?

Written in a little blue book... Right, well... Jada went to the hospital. They gave her medication, now she's back, but quarantined in her room again, leaving me with Kaji. I swear, I wasn't meant to be a father! If I was, I wouldn't be... er... Well, that's not true... ANYWAY.
I tried helping him put the puzzle together, but he just won't listen. I got a corner of it done, but he threw a fit because HE wasn't doing it - but... err... Maybe those Eden people were right... Kaji doesn't have any friends that I know of, though! Maybe if I send Kash out with letters... He really needs a friend to do this with. Maybe then he'll accept help?

As Kajika experienced the illness of his mother and the lack of pation he had with the puzzle, he felt that he changed inside. It was a little bit like a lot of needles were poking the inside of his stomach and it made him feel uncomfortable.
Quickly he looked for a place he couldn't be seen at and kneeled down as the pain grew stronger. The young toddler started to glow faintly at first, but it became more and more intensive and quickly he couldn't be seen anymore.
Just a few seconds later his pain was gone and the toddler had grown into a child.

Written in a little blue book... June 15, 2005: 9:01 PM
Kajika... Kajika grew. Kajika grew and I wasn't even around to see it... The doctors have had me on medication, and I'm finally able to get up and around... I can't believe I missed something that important...
I just hope that he can forgive me for being absent in such a critical time. "K-Kaji... You....!" The blue-haired woman stared in disbelief from the top of the stairs; still wrapped in pajamas and a blanket, the effects of medicine still biting at her mind - she could have easily been hallucinating, couldn't she? But the lanky boy at the bottom seemed real enough... Had she missed soemthing? Had he grown as rapidly as he appeared from the leaf? "Hey mim..." The boy's voice was soft, rather subdued sounding - it was the first time he'd seen her in what seemed like weeks! He wrapped his arms around his shoulders, flashing a huge smile at her - he was still cheerful, though not as innocently so. Something had kicked in - he'd realized that his mother wasn't the invincible, amazing creature he'd once felt.
"You feelin' bettah now?"Jadaria stared, then slowly descended the stairs, staring at him - he was real! A few tears welled up in her eyes as she reached the bottom, then threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly. "Oh, Kaji... I'm so sorry... I'm much better now... I'm so sorry I've been sick..." Blinking in confusion, the boy hugged her back, laughing a bit. "Hey, mim, mim... It's okay, s'okay! Don' get all.. mushy'n stuff, kay?"

Sneezing, DiYanni held a cotton handkerchief to her nose. Through her watering eyes, she surveyed the area, searching for the appropriate house. Madeline clung to her mother's side, unhappy to have been drug out into this summer heat.
"Oh, don't pout, dear," DiYanni scolded as they approached their destination. "See? We're already at Ms. Jadaria's home. This is also where little Kajika lives. Do you remember him?"
Madeline shook her head once, continuing to sulk with one hand wrapped in her mother's dress. When her mother gave her the letter, she obediently slipped it under the door.
"All done!" DiYanni exclaimed chipperly before leading her daughter away.
Lady DiYanni Date: 2005/06/20 Dear Ms. Jadaria:
My goodness, I hope that you can forgive me. I have been as absent-minded as always and neglected your message until this late date. Unfortunately, I fear that Kajika may have lost interest of that puzzle game already, so I am not certain if he will want Madeline to visit anymore.
However, I am very eager to have our children play again! It's been such a long time since Madeline was able to see your charming child. If you would like to arrange a time to meet, I am mostly available during the mornings and afternoons (I'm afraid that all of the children are home during the evening and I am rather occupied with them).
Take care of yourselves!
Regards, DiYanni

Kakui sighs as she pulls something out of a very large sack. She was happy to find that the last gift she dropped off had lightened her load exponentially, and her mood with it. Opting not to disturb anyone in the house, she placed the gift with a note by the door.Quote: Dear Jadaria, You don't know me, but I've been to the Eden Project HQ a few times while no one was there. After my visits, I've decided that I'd like to get to know everyone involved, and what better way to meet people than through gifts? The other day I came across this and just couldn't let it go, but considering how many stuffed animals I already have, I thought your child might like it. I hope he doesn't feel he's too old for such things and that he enjoys it. ~Kakui Sitting by the note is a large Lehmann's poison frog plushie.
