The only thing Jack loved more than weapon melee, was not allowing his opponent the use of his, with out even touching his own personal weapon. Jack's author didn't know what Ryon’s weapon was, or what it did, and he really didn't care to find out. As long as Jack was quicker and out maneuvered Ryon he wouldn't have to use his weapon, though. . . That may be best for Ryon’s sake. .

Jack opted not to allow his opponent any control over his body. Rolling his left hands fingers off of the kids boney wrist, the veins in his arms erupted out of his skin, trickling down to his fingers as he rolled his wrist, latching onto the kids right wrist his thumb as Ryon lost his grip on Jack's own wrist. An old wrestling move dating back to ancient Greece.

The rest of his fingers followed through, pinching into the nerves running to his hands, a well known pressure point that would serve it's purpose nicely by crippling Ryon's hand and keeping him from performing his own technique against him. At this time Jack simultaneously slipped his right hand up further on Ryon’s left forearm to take the place of where his left hand just departed, being sure to pinch down on the pressure point at the exact time.

With no intent on stopping, Jack ripped hard on Ryon’s right arm with his left, that combined with his hard smash into Ryon’s ribcage would cause him to roll over on his stomach, making it physically impossible for Ryon to perform is kicks. In the middle of witch several muffled cracks would be heard accompanied by a muzzled pop indicating the dislocation of Ryon's left shoulder.

Now Jack had him where he wanted, without wasting any time, just as Ryon began the flop to his belly, Jack retracted his right leg, much like that of a snake before it strikes it foe at a weak point, for an instant before smashing it back down in a powerful slide tackle. Pulling hard on both of Ryon’s arms to provide extra force to the blow. Recoiling his left leg upwards to exert the potential energy building in Jacks body into the powerful slide tackle that just launched in Jacks opposite leg.

The target: of course- Ryon's face, assuming that he was facing him. Though if he wasn't Jack's author would not complain one bit. For that would mean Jack's attack would go unseen and would not only stun Ryon for at least three seconds, but quite possibly knock him unconscious and give Jack a big 'W' and a bit of respect from the spectators. If any. . .

Since Jack's left leg had retracted, his right foot would cushion his own impact, the loose soil billowing out in a wave of dust upon the impact of his 180lb frame. Leaving his right leg extended into Ryon’s face, and his left leg tucked neatly underneath him. His knee pointing directly towards his opponent, resting on the ball of his left foot and ready spring should the situation demand a quick a powerful action.

His now emotionless face stared down at Ryon, his quick silver eye's widened for a brief second before contracting back, his right foot barrier into Ryon's face. Jack could almost predict the puddle of crimson liquid that would be collecting on the floor from his opponent crushed nose, or maybe a busted lip. Typically Jack would smile at this site, and probably lick is well moistened lips for the taste of moor. This time was different, Jack merely stared ahead with his silver eye's, now turning white with insanity. He didn't like inflicting pain upon friends, if that's what Ryon was, he wasn't quite sure what these strange emotions awakening beneath his skin were. Whether he liked these new emotions or not was a mystery to both Jack, and his author.

Nostrils flaring as he exhaled; his thin, smooth, red lips spread open as his own unique vibrations echoed out through the molecules in-between Ryon and himself. 'Say mercy!' Jack uttered in his most serious tone. Jack didn't plan on ending the fight here, but would release the hold non the less, in the mutual understanding that round three had gone to him. . .

Luckily for Ryon, he could not be manipulated so easily now after seeing Jack utilize his locks before, and he still had aces up his sleeve. Ryon's propped left knee from before kept him from completely belly-flopping on the ground, as he knew that would Jack's most desirable position to put the boy in. That left knee that missed before now propped Ryon up from the ground. Just as Jack would think he had Ryon pinned, Ryon would immediately execute his counter.

Ryon pulled back with both of his arms to counteract any strength his opponent could muster. It must be said again that despite appearance, Ryon possessed a strength far beyond even the greatest limitations of a highly-muscled, adult human. In fact, the mere game of tug-of-war simply allowed Ryon to further prop himself up on his knee. But he waited to do so. For now he would keep his shoulder from dislocating.

Ryon kept his head turned to face his opponent, always keeping his eyes on him. He buckled to take the slide kick, launching his head forward in a quick head butt. By now it would be obvious. Ryon's head would meet the kick directly and the boy would sustain little damage. Somehow, he could channel a superhuman force into his attacks so that he did not even have to achieve a full range of motion to maximize the strength of his attacks. If simply allowed to act on an opposing force with his own, even in the form of a headbutt, Ryon could instantly generate unbelievable amounts of power. He grinned when he stopped the kick flawlessly.

Oh, but Jack had kicked some dust up in the air on the execution of his attack. Perfect.

Ryon used this to allow both his propped left knee and free right leg to shoot up explosively into a standing position, though his arms would still be bound by Jack's vice-like grip on his pressure points. No matter. Handicaps made a battle interesting.

As Jack uttered his line, Ryon would already be up and on his feet in a split second. Meanwhile, his right leg snapped out in the cover of dust and quick motion. Bam, bam, bam. A solid side kick first snapped out with both speed and power to slam into Jack's portruding knee, followed instantly by a swift kick to his left thigh and another to his left knee.

As Jack would deal with that, Ryon would use the sheer weight of his body, magnified about five times over, to instantly push down on Jack's arms and body. This would create almost 800 pounds of pressure on Jack's arms and upper body, pushing him onto his back and possibly burrowing him down into the ground if he could not handle lifting such a load.

"Never."

Ryon stared into his opponent's eyes with his own fiery, bright orange irises. Jack was not the only one who seemed insane now. Something about Ryon's expression made him look bloodthirsty with a hungry, wolfish grin. He was simply enjoying the fight. By now he had placed his forward right leg and trailing left leg in his typical battle stance, his right ahead and facing his opponent, his left behind and pointed to his left. However, he had also dug the heel of his left leg into Jack's right ankle, pinning it down with almost an equal amount of force. The force in his left leg would begin to quickly deteriorate, though, to only about twice his body weight (of around 168 pounds). That's if he even caught Jack's extended leg in the first place.

A small fragile woman exited the great colleseum, retreating from the loud noises, the brute warriors and the sounds of clashing swords. She was in need for a moment of peace. Hynuwa walked slowly, but a far distance away to the outer border of giant trees and green grass. Her indigo robes trailed quietly behind her as she found her ideal spot in the shade of a great oak tree. Setting down her staff that looked more like a branch picked off of a tree, she took her seat on the cool grass next to the tree's trunk. Closing her eyes for only a moment, the visions of Baylu's and Rovell's match flashed in her mind and then, the final blow. It was not Baylu's sword against Rovell nor Rovell's polearm against Baylu, but it was Rovell's own weapon striking his own chest. Hynuwa could almost feel the pain he had caused himself in that moment. Opening her amber brown eyes, she found herself looking upwards into the leaves and dancing light.

'Why would someone strike themself?' she asked herself, thinking of the reasoning behind the act. Hynuwa's fingers traced down from her neck to the center of her chest directly above her rounded breasts. She tried to imagine for a moment what it would feel like to have her ribcage broken open and for a cold metal pole to cut through. Resting her eyes once more, the thought nearly took her breath away...

Just as he suspected, Ryon had kept eye contact the whole time. It worked out nicely, the wall of dirt would roll right into Ryon's opens eye's, blinding him while it collected all over his face and hair.

Thanks to sand in Ryon's eye's, he would have quite a hard time executing the slide tackle properly, and it provided Jack with just the amount of stuff he needed to once again out manuver Ryon.

Just as Ryon shot to his feet, Jack's right leg shot under him, curling up on the balls of his feet he lept upwards. At this time Ryon would be executing his slide tack, his left leg bent underneath him, and his right leg shooting forwards in a powerful kick.

From above, Jack noticed the move right away, and sent his left foot down in a stealthy stomp upon his unguarded genitles. Simutaneously bringng his right knee up as if in a run, and yanking up hard on Ryon's arms to ensure no defense from that depart ment could be made.

In the same motion as the last, Jack rammed his right leg down, pointing his toes as he brought the end of his foot crashing towards the side the kids throat. It was a vulnerable point, Jack had caught on by now that this was no ordinary kid and he'd have to take shots where it hurt the most. Starting with the two most common the nutts and the throat.

As he executed the run over Ryon's body, he immediately shot his left leg back upwards, and immediately down. slamming it against the bottom of his chin as his right foot slid behind Ryon's head.

To ensure damage, up on crossing over Ryon's shoulder area, Jack twisted both his hands inhumanly backwards, in an attempt to brake both his wrists.

However, Ryon could not be so easily deceived by the very same amount of dust he used to his advantage sooner. If anything since used the dust to his advantage first, whereas when Jack first created it the author did not state that Jack used the dust to obscure Ryon's view initially, it would lead one to believe that Ryon never let the dust fool his eyes once.

If anything, the dust would come too late. By the time it could even try to cling to him, Ryon had shot upwards from his position. Sure, perhaps a trace amount might have reached his eyes, but Jack could not count on that.

Ryon did not also execute a slide tackle, but merely a side kick aimed at Jack's leg. As soon as he realized he missed from Jack's quick leap, he retracted his leg and followed his opponent's movements by feeling where the ends of his bound arms moved. Going up? He could feel the slicing wind and watched as Jack unleashed the stomp down towards his genitals. He sidestepped to Jack's left, moving his left leg in a sliding motion so it never left the ground. By now he stood with it fully extended. Jack's foot barely grazed his groin, but he would survive.

He would not let the second kick come, either. He continued to side step, following Jack's motion and tugging on his own arms with equal force. He would force Jack to keep facing him. Using Jack's own momentum against him, Ryon would execute a swift 180 degree turn. He would swing his arms around, along with the centrifugal force, to slam Jack right back down into the ground.

This way, Jack would never get behind Ryon's back to execute the hold from behind and break his wrists. Ryon dipped his right foot into the dirt as he swung his body around, picking up a good amount of dust along the way. As soon as he executed the 180 turn, he would launch his right leg out in a roundhouse kick in front of Jack. The kick would barely graze or completely miss Jack, but either way it send a good amount of dust into the air between them that would head straight for Jack's face because of the angle of the kick and the force of the spin. As soon as the dust began to leave his foot, Ryon masterfully retracted his right foot in mid-kick and execute a devastating side kick straight for Jack's gut. Since his earlier push failed, he put the same amount of force into his kick as he did when he planned to push down on Jack--nearly 800 pounds of pressure.

During this time he pulled back on his arms and swung them so that they crossed each other suddenly. This way, his left wrist now crossed over his right, even as Jack held them. Along with the sheer force of the kick, Ryon hoped this would send his opponent spinning off and crashing to the ground.

During this whole time he also kept the cylinder locked in his left fist in a death grip.

Edit: Actually, I mistranslated my post. The kick itself has the force of Ryon's normal attack. However, if connected, he will keep it up against Jack's gut and then quickly start to press against him with that amount of pressure as I noted.

Ryon had done good avoiding the last string of attacks, just as Jack hoped he would.

Flipping up in the air as his arms crossed, and the kick skidded under neath him. He would avoid the whole sequence altogehter. However, the 800lb. kick would send Ryon's regular body jolting forwards with the sheer inertia of kick. At this time, Jack would twist in the middle of his flip, since his arms were crossed he would land behind Ryon with his arms straight.

As Jack's author noted before, Jack hate's to waist momentum, so as he spun he wrentched down hard on Ryon's wrist as he against attempted to break it. That combined with Ryon's forward motion would make the grueling task quite easy.

Kicking off the ground as he landed, Jack used the momentum of Ryon's inertia to propell him forwards. Jabbing his right knee forwards into Ryon's kidney as he released his grip on Ryon's, most likely, broken wrists and shot his hands and arms forwards.

The right one would wrap around Ryon's head, beneath the chin, his right hand grasping onto his left tricep. While his left hand smashed against the back of Ryon's head, grabbing a fist full of hair for extra support.

The rear-naked choke as it's called in Mixed Martial Arts. Probably one of the most famous holds of all time, due to it's quickness to act and near impenitrable lock. Unlike his last one, this one happened immediately, the lock was virtually the first thing to happed and due to the lightning like speed of wich the hold occured, it would prove to be one tough cookie to brake out of.

From Ryon's front side, it would appear as if a die hard fan had snuck up from behind and latched his self onto Ryon in a massive hug, with no intent on letting go untill he got his autograph and maby a few hair samples.

Shooting his free left leg past Ryon's left rib cage, he wrapped it around his torso as his right leg met up with it. Locking at the ankles as he squeezed his thighs inwards with enormous strength and power. This would prove to be another good reason why speed is vital if you wish to succeed in melee battles.

This would be Jack's final test he put on Ryon before taking the defensive. Don't let me down now kiddo. Ryon had proved quite a worthy opponent, on the defensive side that is, but wether or not Ryon could bring this beast down Jack's author wasn't certain. The most crutial mistakes are made in one's offensive, but before we start thinking about that let's hope Ryon pulls off another upset.

There is one secret to defeating the rear-naked choke, wether Ryon knew it or not, Jack was about to find out first hand. Then again, in all honesty most people do know the secret, wether they can execute the secret is what's normally the problem. Especially against an experianced melee fighter.

Once again, Jack could maneuver incredibly in the face of the moment. Luckily for Ryon, most of the power in his attacks came from a more supernatural current of strength rather than gravity-snapping inertia. Recall that Ryon tried to block Jack's earlier stomp by simply tilting his head forward. Again, Ryon does not need to even complete the full range of motion to get such outstanding power out of his attacks. One could relate this to a chi-like energy flowing through Ryon's body, which the boy would called his "Aether."

However, as a down-side, Ryon often used this Aether to simply power through his attacks without much reliance on technique. Jack clearly did have him beat here. When it came to technique, it appeared Jack had a vast array of skills applicable in all situations. Since Ryon had agreed not to use the extent of his full powers, he would now come to find out that in the world of martial arts, power was not always enough. Speed and technique could prove key in the face of fierce hand-to-hand combat.

This did mean one thing; Jack's plan did not go exactly as arranged since Ryon did not need to thrust his body in an equal amount of inertia to generate the nearly 800 pounds of pressure. Thankfully. Ryon merely extended his leg but kept his footing. When he missed, he quickly retracted it to the ground and followed his opponent's movement. Why is it even worth noting when he still ultimately gets put in the chokehold?

As Jack would move to land behind Ryon, reversing the twist in his arms so that Jack's could be straight, Ryon would counteract with an equal amount of pressure on his own arms. He tried to turn to face his attacker, but the attempt proved futile. He had to worry about preserving his wrists. By pulling and crouching right when Jack tried to break them, he ultimately denied Jack the leverage and power to snap his wrists, but barely.

Due to the motion of his arms he felt and heard his shoulders pop a few times, but they did not dislocate, either. He merely felt a surge of numbing pain shoot up his arms. He did not cry out, but he did clearly wince. Damn, that pain would linger in the morning.

And to think Jack was already ready with a new technique when Ryon barely stopped the first. Despite the pain in his arms, an odd half-smirk still played on Ryon's lips. What an impressive opponent.

So Jack executed this chokehold from behind? Despite how raw and numb they felt, Ryon knew he would have to make use of his arms quickly to at least try and counter. He would not give up. Quitting was not in his vocabulary, even if suggested to him. If Jack had fought, say, Curse, one of Ryon's peers, Curse would've conceded to Jack's mastery and simply asked for another round. Not Ryon. It was not in his character to admit defeat until dead, because even if knocked unconscious he would find the one who bested him and constantly demand a rematch. In this way his superior, the master of the Guardian Order, had defeated Ryon in friendly sparring matches nearly a thousand times. Ryon would just keep coming back.

The will to fight burned in his fiery blood.

Surpisingly, Ryon poured more strength into his legs to remain standing as Jack wrapped his legs around the boy's body. It almost offered a comical appearance, but Ryon could not waste time to think about it. Immediately, he whipped up his sore forearms to act. With his right arm, he grasped the arm Jack used to choke him just below the elbow. With another surge of great strength he pulled down, easing or even negating the choke as much as he could with his worn-out arm. Meanwhile, he reached behind to whip his left arm behind his attacker's head. Using more or less the same technique, Ryon gripped Jack's hair before sliding his left hand down to grab the back of Jack's neck and pull it forward. Once again usig his great strength, Ryon pulled Jack's head over towards his left shoulder as he continued to ease the choke underneath his chin. One could tell he exerted himself now. He began to sweat, finally, and he winced and strained himself as he put much of his strength into pulling apart this hold. He regretted it, too. That young woman who stepped outside would probably notice it and think him totally "uncool." Jack looked like the only "fan" who would ever want Ryon's autograph now.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 07, 2006 5:17 pm

Unfortunantly, Ryon had targeted the wrong body parts, and at the wrong time. Though Jack was still impressed, typically when people are placed in the rear-naked choke they tap immediately, this "15 year old kid" proved to have more spunk then any one he had ever fought. There would be no doubt in Jack's mind that this kid would struggle untill death if he could.

Unfortunantely for Ryon, pulling on Jack's right arm would just cause his left hand to push down harder on the back of Ryon's head. Because Jack's right hand was securely fascend to his left tricep the force Ryon applied to Jack's right arm would ultimately just cause more pressure to be applied through Jack's left arm, and vice versa.

Jack didn't allow Ryon that much control of his head, not that it would do much. He simply barrier his head down to his own left shoulder and waited it out. Gritting his teeth as he pulled harder.

Ryon was smart to not bother with the feet though, even though they would cause emmense stress and render breathing slightly, the most damamge will be delt to the head if he didn't do something fast.

Jack pushed his back in, pulling back with both arms while maintaning the snare but also pulling back with his legs and squeezing them tighter. His veins his arms shot to life, erupting out of his skin for the first time through the whole fight. Similiar to his arms, his legs erupted with there own set of veins, though fewer in number and more spread out than the arms.

After ushering this hold on many victims, Jack was sure that if held on much longer Ryon might faint frome exauhstion and lack of breath. I can't do it, not yet.. Ironically enough, Jack opted once again not end the fight here, this kid had spunk and he might make it through. Though if he doesn't succeed this time he would have to call the round, or possibly the match.

The chances would be slim, Ryon's blood would be collecting rapidly in his head, his face would go plum red and the lack of oxygen would keep him from thinking well and would normally result in panic. First the arms would flail about, followed by the ripping up and down motion of the torso. . . All would fail. . . But wether or not Ryon would succumb to the panic is unknown, this kid had proved to be quite different than most and has yet to show little fear or panic in any of the exercises Jack has put him through.

With the blood rushing quickly to his head, Ryon could feel himself beginning to black out. He only had two saving graces at this point. First, he had every manner of enhanced resistance compared to the average human, from greater immunity to viruses, to simply taking more pressure before passing out. Second and most important of all, Jack did not end it there just yet. Ryon could feel his opponent's gesture even in the heat of battle. It was as if Jack whispered into Ryon's ear: "This is it, kid. Escape or I'll finish it, here and now."

Ryon began to let out a low growl as he prepared his final move in an attemp to break the hold. A surge of strength suddenly coursed through his body. Unconsciously he caused the temperature around him to rise a few degrees, nothing too drastic. After all, he could not entirely concentrate with the depleted oxygen and all. He then let out a loud, bellowing yell of power only a split second before launching his counter.

With Jack's head burrowed away, Ryon furtively slid his hand from the back of Jack's neck to Jack's left wrist, arching his arm over his head to avoid having Jack slam it back to knock his hand away. Pulling his head forward had served as the distraction. Ryon placed his left hand instantly over Jack's. He applied the palm of his hand the knife edge of Jack's left and allowed his fingers to interlock with Jack's so that he could bend them backwards. He also dug his thumb deep into the veins on the other end of Jack's wrist to apply more pressure and pain that would ultimately tell his body that his hand had to move. Then he yanked down and away hard to break Jack's fingers and ultimately snap his wrist if he did not simply let the boy's hair go.

At the exact same time he tilted his head forward to dig his chin into Jack's choking right arm to allow himself a little breathing space. Even as he did this, he moved his right arm swiftly up Jack's right forearm until he immediately applied almost the same kind of pressure hold on Jack's right wrist as he did with Jack's left, though he could not lock the fingers as well. This would apply just enough pressure on Jack's wrist at just the right time for Ryon to fiercely take hold of Jack's right wrist and apply another ripping wrist lock--once again, if Jack refused to let go, Ryon would force the right wrist to snap by putting an incredible amount of force to snap it the wrong way.

Ryon timed all of these locks precisely with a twist of his own body. This way, just as he applied enough pressure to make Jack let go from the pain reflex or risk having his wrists snapped, Ryon would snap his body to the left, where Jack's head would lean and upper body would follow, to toss the man aside (again, as he let go or has his wrists severed). So, in essence, Ryon executed all of these steps more-or-less at the exact same time in his final bid for freedom. He also slid his free legs to keep himself from toppling over, including bending his forward leg as he turned to act as a buffer in case Jack tried to slide his legs down and take Ryon's feet out from underneath.

If it all worked out, Ryon would even use his hold on Jack's wrists to forcibly slam him into the ground and off of his body, shaking away the legs if needed.

All of it happened as Ryon uttered his explosive battle cry.

Edit: Forgot to mention, by now the cylinder has disappeared again. Ryon dropped it.

Jack's author must applaud the interesting tactics, wether or not they work? Well, I'll guess you'll just have to read huh.

Ryon began working hard on Jack's left hand but he would find it wouldn't budge. Though, Jack new that if he was given enough time, he would eventually have to succumb to the pain or watch as his fingers were broken off.

Almost half way grinning, I'll choose option "C" thanks! he thought as he decided both of those options didn't sound like to much fun at all.

Jack simply ripped his head up in a stealthy cheap attack on Ryon's own hand. His mouth unlatching itself from it's grunt, his unusually fierce k-9's cripping with saliva as his mouth closed in fast over Ryon's fingers.

Crunching down with out a second though on Ryon's own fingers with the intent of braking bones and spilling blood. His eye's were now completely white with madness as he began lacerating Ryon's fingers untill he gave into the pain or untill Jack chewed them down to nubbs.

Wichever came first he didn't rightly care, though he was sure his would hurt a lot worse than the simply ripping back of fingers. Though Jack's fingers weren't budging for the time being, he had his death lock on that scalp and Ryon would indeed need to brake his hand off if he wanted free.

A more simple solution was provided for his other hand. Once again, Ryon pushing down with his chin would only further secure the grip on top and push his head further into Jack's right arm. Though he would soon find out that there was no reaching Jack's wrist. A simple matter of posistioning, Jack's right wrist was trapped between Jack's left bicep and forearm, a rather tight squeeze that Jack's author was sure Ryon's hand could not venture through.

Although, Jack didn't seem to want to end the fun just yet. Jack could sense Ryon was comming to the end of the road, so he released his grip with his legs, planting them firmly on the ground. Then just ask quickly as he set the rear-naked choke, he ripped it appart. Simutaneously bringing his right foot up in a solid kick to Ryon's lower back, a simple kick, but it was forceful and more than likely Ryon would be slightly dazed and now in shock as tonz of blood rushed into head.

Jack wasn't about to show mercy however, reaching back with his right hand he retrieved his special wax wood staff.

He quickly retrieved it from his back and within an instant it was crashing across Ryon's back. He gripped it like an ax, his left hand at the bottom of the pole, and his right about a foot and a half further up.

A trickle of sweat pursed down from the corner of his forhead as he swung. Now, show me what that weapon of yours is all about... If you can... Jack was ready to upper the fight, indeed round 3 had gone to him but round 4 had some very different variables that could very well change the course of the fight. Then again, it could just cause even more pain and suffering to unfold upon Ryon, could he handle it?

"Aaargh!" Ryon's battle cry became a howl of anger as Jack unexpectedly bit down on the boy's hand. Honestly, Ryon (or his author) would never expect that to happen, even if forced to think of all the things Jack might have possibly done on pain of death. The fact that Ryon could feel the dripping saliva did not make it any easier. Though somewhat moot to point out, Jack would feel the temperature of Ryon's skin rising quickly where he bit, enough to induce a burn reflex to force Jack's jaws to open at least a little. Ryon neglected breaking Jack's fingers to then hold Jack's jaws open forcefully with his hand before Jack finally stopped trying to bite. In his initial bite Jack did manage to draw some blood. Needless to say, Ryon did not like the feeling of having his fingers become Jack's choice steak fingers at all.

Ryon could not reach Jack's other hand considering the angle of his arms, but before he could even still snap the wrist by simply jolting it in a lateral motion (side-to-side, rather than up-down like he tried before) Jack suddenly released his grip. Ryon was too dazed to block the kick, so he simply took it and worried about leaping away from Jack and gaining distance. The boy lunged away furiously, spinning around in mid-lunge to quickly face Jack as he skidded across the ground in a low posture. He dug his right hand in the ground to slow himself down and keep his bearing on Jack despite the dizziness which threatened to overwhelm him.

However, Jack did not stop there, and Ryon barely reacted in time to bring up his right hand to block the heavy, wooden staff. He felt the blow crack harshly against his forearm and he winced again, but at least he let his arm absorb the damage instead of his back. Ryon then kept the staff at bay with his forearm as he leaped further back until he put the apporiate amount of distance between himself and Jack--just out of reach of Jack's weapon.

"b*****d!! You bit my hand!" He exclaimed as he glanced down at it. He remained slightly hunched over as he lowered both of his arms now to recuperate. He glared at the fierce, insane brutality shining in Jack's eyes with a mix of awe and disgust in his bright orange irises. Gradually he rose to stand up straight, and his expression became completely serious. This was the ultimate sign that Ryon himself had become serious about this fight. This was no longer a simple match of wits and skill for the thrill of the battle. Now Ryon felt his honor insulted by Jack, and he was not going to play around any longer.

The boy with jet-black hair quickly regained his wind and confidence while he expertly examined Jack's stance and posture with his weapon. So he maintained a lower grip, at least initially. That meant he essentially had more leverage, power, and reach to his attacks, but he lacked the speed, functionality, precision, and grace of other styles of grip. Ryon had faced the staff and many variations before. A fearsome weapon in the right hands, indeed. But now that Jack called for an armed conflict, Ryon was at much less of a disadvantage in terms of skill.

Tilting his head arrogantly, a condescending smile appeared on Ryon's face.

"My weapon?" He taunted. After a brief pause, the cocky smile completely vanished from his lips, leaving only a hollow, stoic expression. Coming from what seemed a mere lad, this expression often unsettled lesser warriors. Jack had no reason to fear Ryon now, or did he?

"This is no mere weapon..." Ryon muttered, standing in the same fashion as he did when the match initially began--in a side stance with his right side facing Jack, peering down his right shoulder to pin his eyes on his opponent, with his left arm obscured behind his lean body. Jack would begin to see the faint sparkles of glistening red light materialize behind Ryon's back before boy brought his left hand forward. In his hand the black, segmented cylinder with embedded rubies would appear. Ryon held it out in front of him for Jack to see. The object, clenched tightly in his left hand, would obscure Ryon's mouth from view by Jack's angle as he spoke cryptically. Oddly, any trace of blood on Ryon's left hand had vanished. Black streaks which resembled burn marks had appeared over the areas where Jack broke the skin, and a thin, faint layer of smoke could be seen emanating from the slightly charred skin. "And, now that you wish to see it, I must warn you... Animus will not hold back."

The young fighter then deftly swung his left arm back behind his back. A bright flash of red light would reveal a thin beam of scarlet energy protruding from the end of the cylinder in Ryon's left hand like the blade of a sword. The energy blade reached about three feet in length--glowing and pulsing rhythmically--and a few inches in width equal to the diameter of the hilt. Unlike other "beam sabers," Ryon's weapon ended in a tapered point similar to the very tip of katana; a right triangle shape. Ryon titled his head forward now, but he kept his weapon at bay behind him. That stone-cold expression never once left his face. The sweat and exertion from earlier had vanished along with his smirk.

"Now, come at me..."

Unknown by Ryon, Furyon's possessed a deap immunity to intense temperatures, wether hot or cold. So Ryon's burning flesh would do little stop Jack from mauling his fingers. Though luckily for him Jack stopped anyways. . . On the other hand, Jack now had a taste for Ryon's blood, not a good thing.

Ryon had obviously no experiance with wax wood staffs, or he would know of it's special attribute... Well he was about to see it up close.

As Ryon blocked some of the staff, the end of it flicked inwards like a whip, smashing against his face with a force three times as strong as the initial blow. A wax wood staff was somewhat flimsy, it bent like rubber, yet hurt like steal! Jack immediately lept backwards, facing Ryon head on. His staff slanted upwards, starting near Jack's left ankle and moving up towards his right shoulder. Right elbow bent near his side, and his hand grasped around the staff even with his chest. His left arm came down his side, pointing out at a right angle where he grabbed the staff with his left hand.

Jack was hardly intimidated by his beam sword. Jack's staff had with stood more, thanks to the special seal placed on it. Although Jack's staff my not inflict as much damage, it would certainly be enough defend against it.

"How's the hand?" Jack said tauntingly. Licking his teeth like a blood thirsty beast.

Bringin his right hand forwards he began twirling clockwise, reaching roughly 2000rpm and increasing steadily as he charged towards Ryon. A slight grin in his eye's as the loose dirt flew forwards in a crippling wave of twigs dirt, and small leaves. Creating a sort of fog-of-war, that would cover Jack as he attacked Ryon, not blocking his view of the saber do it's bright glow.

Though Jack still suffered no sight failure thanks to his rather advanced Furyan eye's. Capable of infrared vision, hunter vision, and various others that are irrelivent for this very fight.

So his opponent wasn't human? Made sense.

Even if Ryon did not induce the burn reflex from Jack's ability to withstand extreme temperature, the heat emanating from his hands did keep them safe. For one, the heat came in a force of energy to the surface that pushed Jack's fangs out until Ryon could get his grip on his jaws and hold the mouth open to preven further damage. The burn marks simply meant Ryon's wounds had been cauterized instantly to avoid further bleeding and any possibly infection, including by the injection of any venom Jack might have stored in his fangs. Obviously, Ryon took no chances. But that's all in the past.

As for the wax-wood staff, Ryon realized its type when it began to whip around. Now, it remains to be seen how much this staff can actually whip. As Ryon extended his forearm to block, he not only kept it well above his head, but he also maintained a good few feet of distance since his initial leap from Jack. In short, unless the very tip of the staff could whip around to a 90-degree angle, since Ryon placed his forearm above his head a good arm's length, Ryon would not feel the attack. The staff might be able to grow to actually reach Ryon's face well below and in front of his extended forearm, but since Jack had apparently not induced it to do so (if he could), Ryon would feel nothing but the vibration in his forearm and the swishing of the staff in the air.

So Ryon stared his opponent down when Jack assumed his own posture. Ryon noted the new posture, another familiar staff stance. At Jack's taunt, Ryon made no gesture or movement. He didn't even blink. He didn't blink or budge as Jack came charging in fast, spinning his staff at a pitiful 2000 rpms. Flashy, but Ryon would have to see the substance to behind it to buy it, and the rubber-like ability of the staff alone wouldn't cut it.

Jack would probably find it odd that the red glow would fade as he began to pick up speed. Ryon continued to stand without flunching as the mini-torrent of dust and leaves headed towards him.

"You play dirty..." Ryon finally replied contemptuously to Jack's earlier taunt, also hinting at Jack's use of this hasty "barrier."

He had deactivated his weapon, oddly, but he still held the cylinder in his hand. However, he hid his left hand behind him and out of Jack's view, so unless Jack happened to have something like x-ray vision active at the moment, he would not be able to see the hilt. Within a few seconds of the first wave of turbulence making contact, Ryon deftly snapped his left wrist behind him. The cylinder alone flew straight across Ryon's back, hidden by the flap of his jacket in the breeze that Jack, himself, created. It would head at an incredible speed, the hilt itself somehow holding an extremely dense amount of weight, along with the incredible momentum of Ryon's power, so that even gale force winds could not deter it. Needless to say, Jack's gust would do nothing. Jack would have to rely on his weapon to block. But Ryon had so expertly timed his throw with the precise amount of velocity that, by carefully watching Jack's movements, Ryon timed it to become right in between a swing before being deflected. As it approached even within three feet of that point, it would activate, and the beam blade would extend out again at practically the speed of light (after all, it seemed to be composed of light itself).

How did Ryon follow Jack's movements in the fog? His steps. Even just watching the shifting silhouette of his movement, Ryon could tell exactly how he swung his staff, and where he could find a quick opening. In short, even as Jack's staff would swing to deflect the blade, it would already at least leave a good scar in his forehead from activating and stabbing him. It would bleed well, but it was nothing life threatening.

Meanwhile, Ryon demonstrated some dazzling speed that he had not yet shown in the match. As the torrent came forward and right after he released the hilt to throw it, he sidestepped to Jack's left. As he did, he swung his right arm in an odd, diagonal punch of sorts. "Haaa!" This created an incredible force of air the would literally rip the dust, twigs, and particles away from Jack's momentum and cause them to harmlessly pass forward. Jack would also have to stop or change direction to avoid the saber darting directly for his eyes at an amazing velocity as well. After all, it had to be enough to have some time to stab him through the 2000 rpms, right? This means he would have to lose his forward momentum. Due to Ryon's swing, which literally pulled the air in front of him and pushed it behind him, Jack would lose his "fog-of-war."

As Jack continued forward and Ryon sidestepped, this would put Ryon just left of Jack's front. Ryon ducked a little as he glanced at Jack through the corner of his eye, using his peripheral vision to follow Jack's movements and that of his tossed saber. It was unlikely Jack could simply stop or jump back in the middle of all the force and pressure he created around himself, so the saber would have to be on target and at least give him a mark. Ryon knew if Jack could counter-attack, the staff could come whipping at the boy at any moment. It didn't matter. Besides, if this attack didn't work, what could Ryon do without a weapon, anyway? Well, use his incredible strength to meet Jack's weapon, of course.

Note: The tip of the blade is aimed straight at Jack's forehead, more towards the center of his eyes so it's not as simple as bowing his head to let it pass.

((Sorry, Jack, for whenever you get back on and see this. I wanted to move Ryon along, but I'm up to continue this later.))

With a temporary halt in their battle, Ryon's Animus, or beam-like weapon, disappeared in a display of sparkling, red flashes of light. He let out a deep sigh after the fight as he turned away. He hunched over a little with his gaze lowered to the ground. He did not really feel incredible exhaustion, but his bout with Jack had taken something else out of him. Even from such an arrogant wise-guy, Ryon had lost a smidgen of his confidence.

'Was it because I was holding back? But, this guy did possess some incredible technique... Maybe it's because I'm in a different world? Tsh, that never really stopped me before...' Ryon mused to himself ruefully. As he looked down at the rippling dust on the ground, still settling from their heated match, he noticed the burn marks on his left hand where Jack punctured the padding of his glove. His eyelids narrowed as he stared at the wound. It wasn't a terrible wound, and he would recover quickly from it. Really, it represented a dent in Ryon's pride, moreso than the flesh on his hand.

After glaring at it contemptuously, Ryon began to walk away without looking back. He felt he would meet and face Jack again. He never hated his opponent, not for a moment. Ryon was really not that simple. He loved a challenge more than he could ever hate a challenger. Besides, that weapons match would remain undecided until next time, and Ryon looked forward to it. Until then, he would have to brush up his skills. A trip to the infirmary to check up on Alli would precede his trip to the Dojo, however.

Ryon dragged his feet heavily in the dirt as he walked away with is head down, sable bangs hanging over his passionate, bright orange eyes. He came across the frail woman he spotted earlier and felt entirely embarrassed in front of, whether she cared to witness the fight or not. Honestly she looked pretty absorbed in her own thoughts, bringing her hand to her chest in deep thought.

Before Ryon completely passed her, he stopped. He tilted his head and grinned at her. His brash, cocky, fighting spirit was already beginning to return.

"You needed some fresh air, too, eh?" And perhaps that was the real reason Ryon had even come outside. As plain as he seemed, Ryon could be very complex underneath it all.

Jordan walked towards an immense colosseum surronded by plains and a small forest. He decided to just stay outside and train by himself alittle. He readied himself by listing to the beart of his body, the heart puming, his slow breathing, every mucsle and membrane contributed. He was ready for Capoeria training. He streched a little as a warm-up then got right into it.

He started with standing exercises with emphasis on the "ginga", the footwork characteristic of the art, and on the basic kicks: "bencao", a front-stomping kick, "martelo", a roundhouse kick, "chapa", a side-kick, "meia-lua", a low turning kick, "armada", a high turning kick, "queixada", an outside-inside crescent kick.

He practiced these all a few times alone before summoning an earth-made dummy. It was a brownish-red color like that of indian clay and was roughly shaped like an avergae male body. about 5'8 and weighed a little more the usaual so it coul;d take the hits without falling apart and such.
